I tried but nothing happened.

Greetings Acuicultor.
I'm also having the same problem.
I've been loosing my imei while using Nameless ROM. I downgraded to DDLF2 it was running fine. And a couple days ago imei fully disappeared.
Tried almost everything (if not everything).
I have the efs backup; and older cwm backups. But none seem to restore it by any means. I'm out of solutions.
I am ATM with Nameless ROM again in hope that changing the partitions to their prev state will help me recover. But nothing so far ..
Any easy way? Any tips?
I got the hex editor and terminal and am open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance

You can try flash froyo firmware and see if imei come back if not try to restore imei with dhiru's way look for his thread in general section. Good luck.

If EFS is Corrupt:
Just reflash a ROM backup with cwm.
Open Galaxy Unlock app; lock the phone. Remove SIM; Restart and re-unlock.
Result: My EFS is back and consistent.
Imei is still: Null/Null
There's also a method on Sammobile forum.
In which you can flash a blank efs.
Now i need a way to change it / re-write it.. Check what's wrong with Radio and Bootloader (and how to fix).
I don't have service mode to write my imei. No idea why. Everyone has it, but not me...
After calling svcMode it doesn't show objects (buttons).
(I get service mode title and black page).
I also have a backup of "service mode.apk". But... Cannot install it. System refuses to install.
Restoring my efs backup doesn't work. (Either from cwm or Odin)
Am I doing anything wrong!?
Tried both methods (through apk; flash; PC app... And nothing...)
EFS Professional doesn't recognize my device...
Running Out of resources. But I'm not done yet.
As far as i read, an hex editor can fix it.
But its not my area of expertise (yet).
:sly: SSDD... Moving on to find solutions.
I'm posting the actual Device State.
Maybe you can see something else that i can try on.

@rgxHost
Try this way...
Delete efs partition. Power off and remove SIM. Power on. After booting a new efs partition will be created. Now restore your backup and reboot without SIM. Check IMEI. And let us know what you see!

Update:
Got Nameless ROM (again); installed exposed and a certain tool to help me enter my imei.
Due to some forum rules I won't clarify more about it.
Now I have my imei like example below:
842783286434 / null
But the device doesn't recognize the SIM card yet.
If this step I've done can be helpful to try other methods then I'm reading.
@SAM
Thanks for the tip.
By the way how do you delete the partition?
I already tried deleting just the efs folder inside root directory.
Either way I'll do that tomorrow, and report asap.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA Free mobile app

OK. I deleted the EFS. So far nothing at all. According to new readings I may have been targeted with an USSD attack or something.
No idea what it is (yet).
Also my SIM is not detected.
Is it possible to restore Radio ROM? How exactly?
Seems like my Radio ROM is not working.
Note: I can write my imei but not imei sv.
Also each time I flash. The written imei gets lost.
Hope anyone can help me..
It is very important for me to recover my device.
Thanks in advance.

SAMSUNG GALAXY SL I9003 - A complete failure in restoring efs!

Hello!
My samsung galaxy sl i9003 had a problem with cellular network signal. After I've checked it's software baseband versions, I saw the following details:
PDA: I9003XXKPQ
PHONE: Unknown
CSC: I9003SERKPQ
IMEI: Blank.
I thought this could be a problem with the firmware or the corrupted efs folder. So I backed up the efs with root browser to sd card.
1)Then I've flashed with custom rom Jellybam 4.1.1 alpha.
I didn't replaced the efs folder to know the error is either with firmware or the efs folder itself. After flashing with Jellybam I had the same problem again.
2)Some of the members suggested to flash with stock ROM and check again. So I have flashed again with XXKPE, XXKPU and Finally with XXKPQ firmwares to fix the problem. But still I ended up with same problem.
Every time I did the above procedure I didn't replaced the efs folder with the backup.
3)So I've replaced the efs to check the problem again with each and every stock ROM i've flashed. Still I ended up with same problem.
4)So after a thorough studying I came to know that either my efs file is corrupt or it is missing the required files. So I've followed the procedures for restoring efs and IMEI explained by members and developers of XDA ( Method 1 Method 2 )
Still No use!! Same problem!
I guess my mobile is permanently locked!!!! :crying::crying:
Is there any other method to restore my mobile in working condition? Or is the samsung outlet's repair is the only way??

No Wifi/Mobile data/IMEI, Baseband version Unknown

I have already tried this guide (great info there):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...fs-corrupt-t2879061/post55488755#post55488755
Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out for me. The issue I have been having is that the phone reports unknown baseband version and there is no IMEI. Wifi was still working originally. The issues came after I flashed the latest lollipop alpha modem needed for the latest CM12 build/kernel.
After I experienced the issue, I flashed back the 44s modem. Then Wifi was also gone.
As of right now, the best I can do is:
1. Install ColorOS 2.0.0
2. OTA to ColorOS 2.0.4
ColorOS gave me Wifi back.
At this point, I tried to fastboot install TWRP per @NikoZBK suggested. The fastboot command reported successful but it still got the ColorOS recovery. So I have to...
3. Fastboot flash 30o with flash-all.bat
However, by doing so, my Wifi is gone and I still have unknown baseband version and IMEI. Therefore, I went back to (1) and (2), took out this line: fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin in flash-all.bat and run flash-all.bat again.
At this point, Wifi is still working but I still have unknown baseband version and IMEI.
4. Flash pre-rooted 44s in TWRP. The issues are still there.
I also tried doing "make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p15" in TWRP and it actually killed Wifi. I am running out of ideas. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I think its illegal to share these kind of information. I might be wrong though.
I know that you will not clone the IMEI but its against the rules to share this info.
Someone will be able to help you, I guess!!!

Hi, @rombdeta, unfortunately for you @Shankar9822 is right, nobody can share their EFS backup with you. It's up to each user to backup their own EFS partition for safekeeping, this information is readily available all over this device section on XDA and on the OnePlus forums.

Okay, you are right, i understend. But QCN, is different, have a parameters of the network. Is only that i need, because i have repaired imxx, wifi, bluetooth, but in the radio signal i have 0 dbm 99 asu, because i haven't the radio band who is in the QCN, and the information on this. If i can repair that, i will make a guide to recover imei without a EFS backup, so please help me with the QCN. Best regards.
After 10 days without the phone, and read about QCN in many sites and much info, i repair my device. For anyone who has tried all possible solutions, to no avail, they sent me a message, I will gladly help you. But I can't open a guide as I have understood, so this is the only solution I can currently provide. Thanks everyone. Greetings To You!

Ok, i will make a guide. Therefore sought an original QCN. Tomorrow i will make a full guide. Regards and sorry about my english.
Thanks, good idea.
PS. There's nothing wrong with your English.

Hello, I had sent you a message to try and help as much as I could but you opened a thread so I'll help you on here.
First. Double check all twrp folders using a file Explorer. Some roms when flashed through twrp automatically back up your efs partition.
Second. If the folders are blank then we'll proceed to try other methods of fixing your imei.
I assume since you went from having a blank imei to that weird number you tried one of the methods you found through Google.
There are ways to manually reenter your imei if the methods found on Google fail. Follow the instruction in the site below (I highly suggest using the terminal emulator method) and report back here. Your imei can be found on your Sim card or the bigger card your Sim came in.
Flash with stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin.

This right here.
I have cleaned this thread, and I don't want to see any posts about IMEI modifying or anything illegal here.
You can try stock flashing, rebuilding an EFS partition somehow (probably impossible) or repair shop, but any talk of anything illegal and the moderators will take action on your account.
Thanks.
Have you tried searching for a Galaxy s6 efs repair script?
If nothing has worked you definitely need to go with a repair shop. Either a third party repair or try to warranty replace your phone through Samsung. If you go the Samsung route Odin flash 100% stock firmware then send it in to them and see what they say

SIM cards not detected after custom recovery and custom ROM

Hi, I am having one Xolo a600 smartphone. It has 512MB RAM. I found some custom ROMs for it in some links and downloaded.
I have flshed the custom TWRP recovery and then flashed the ROM to it (Sorry, due to some problems I could not get the original ROM backup).
After flashing the custom ROM, everything works fine. But, the phone is not detecting the SIM cards and also it does not detect any wifi networks. I also tried with different custom ROMs (I don't have the ROM links right now). Now, I have the stock ROM for that mobile. But, when I try to flash the stock ROM using TWRP recovery, it says wrong file.
How can I flash the stock ROM after flashing custom recovery? Also, if the SIM is not detected in many OS, whether it will be the issue with ROM or the recovery?
Please suggest how can I fix this issue. The device is working fine with TWRP recovery now and currently I am running LiveOS in that device.
(I will update the source links of recovery and ROM if I find them again)
Please help.
You should backup your rom before doing anything!
Now let's come to the point it seems the efs partition has been corrupted.
The efs partition stores the IMEI number and other network related things,If that corrupted your sim card won't be detected or your sim card will be detected but there will be no signal, you can't make calls,no wifi etc.
Seccondly another thing could happen its bug of the rom.
I personally flashed some roms like unofficial cyanogen mod which cant able to detect a sim or even dont boot up when sim is inserted.
so anything could happen.
I suggest you to find a tutorial on how to flash stock rom on your phone model or how to unbrick your phone model, google it!
That may help you out!
Give a thanks if i helped you!

So, I think this would be an issue of IMEI data etc as you pointed out. I will search for it. As you told you have faced similar issue, will we be able to get our IMEI data back if we flash stock ROM? Or the device will be completely dead?
Anyway thanks for the reply
If its rom bug, then you just flash another rom or stock rom,
it will solve the problem!
or if your efs part corrupted and your IMEI is gone then there is a serious problem.
You may need to enter IMEI number manually! There are some apps available, like IMEI changer etc. Do some search on google or xda
you can find your IMEI on the back of your phone when battery is pulled out!
Don't just say hit thanks button if i helped you!
Giving thanks will help me!

Oh, thank you. I had tried with many custom ROMs, so, it might be the partition corrupt. I will try with the IMEI number updating manually.

ENGBOOT for SM-G930F (UNTESTED): Probably False (not Tested on a device)

Hello everybody!
I was surfing through the web when i found this file uploaded on 4shared claiming to be an Engboot for SM-G930F.
Naturally, I was sceptical about this file, as I am completely uneducated about the nuts and bolts of Android, I could neither confirm or deny that this is a valid file or not, so I decided to post the link to XDA , so much more knowledgeable people can take a look at it and see if it is a valid file or not. I don't want to flash this file on (bought yesterday) my S7 Edge, so here I am!
If anybody is feeling brave enough to try this on their phone, please go ahead and tell if this worked or not
Disclaimer: I am not responsible in any way for bricked devices, this file is completely untested.

Zippyshare (no registration) Link: http://www80.zippyshare.com/v/axSXOCtR/file.html
Edit: This is important because if this file works, you could thereotically flash anything you want WITHOUT tripping knox.
Also you can easily unbrick your phone by flashing the stock ROM if it comes to that.
Noob you can test self on your phone. We are not your tester here.

I'm sorry that I apparently did not make it clear in the original post, but I have a S7 EDGE not a S7, so flashing this would probably brick my phone and yield no good result. I made this thread so the community may possibly benefit from this.
and what is SM-G930F-ENG(BOOT)_BST.bsp??

You saw that too! I saw that through WinRar , after searching through the web I saw that it is a Binary Space Partitioning file, I am currently searching the web to see how to open it.

Alright, I just stumbled upon this. I'm assuming no one has tested this. From what I've read in post 8, is it safe to say that this file is *supposed* to fix the IMEI issue coming up as 000000000?
This might be what I need because my phone is giving me the following error in recovery
"dm-verity verification failed...
Need to check DRK first..."
Also as I mentioned above my IMEI is all 0's, which I'm assuming is caused by a faulty EFS partition.
No matter how many times I try to flash stock firmware through ODIN, I always end up in the same spot.

Hi,
This file is probably going to make your situation worse, you should follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-fix-check-drk-imei-issues-t3379516 or alternatively make a new thread so people can properly help you.
Best of luck!:good:

Thanks for the response. I have came across that thread and tried those steps, but it didn't help unfortunately. I have also tried several other things such as hex editing the EFS partition and using 3rd party tools to try and change the IMEI, but nothing seems to be working. My last resort might have to be going through Samsung Service Center.
The odd thing is that I have a SM-G930T, however according to my IMEI on here: http://www.imei.info, it's showing as SM-G930F which is confusing. IMEI is 357752072430049

That IMEI checker will tell you your model number and then your exact variant in the brackets.
By the way, which third party tools/other methods have you tried?

The thing that's confusing is that SM-G930F and SM-G930T are 2 different models.
My phone, is a tmobile version, which should be SM-930T (snapdragon chipset), according to the IMEI checked with my IMEI it shows that it's SM-G930F which is an exynos chipset. This is what's confusin to me...
I tried flashing twrp on there using herolte, heroqltechn and heroqlte and none of them worked. I tried it through ODIN, I tried it through flashfire, I tried it through adbshell using the DD command and none of those methods worked.
As far as what I have tried regarding the DRK and IMEI fixes...
I have tried flashing the SM-G930T PK1 and PIA stock firmware and nothing fixed it.
I have tried restoring full backups I made (prior to having these issues) with flashfire, and I got it to boot, but then I got a error with it being able to decrypt my storage so it forced me to go into the stock recovery and wipe data\factory restore and wipe cache, after I did that the DRK and IMEI issue came back.
From what I've read it seems I need a custom kernel (which apparently isn't an option right now) for me to bypass the IMEI and DRK issue.
The other option I read was to write the certificate back to my phone. I asked if I am able to pull the cert from an old backup that I made, but was told that it's not possible to pull it from a backup.
I also tried taking the EFS.img file from an old backup (prior to these issues) and tried restoring it, and this didn't fix anything.
I tried taking EFS and hex editing the value into it, still nadda.
When I was desperate, someone mentioned using the PIT file from a stock tmobile firmware and using that to re-partition the phone as well as doing a NAND erase on the phone as well as an EFS clear and bootloader update, so I tried that and still nothing.
If anyone can provide any assistance it would be greatly appreciated, but I'm not sure what else to try. Unfortunately my options are somewhat limited by a locked bootloader.
