[Q] ROMs with Pie AND Halo - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Everyone,
I was just curious to see if there are any ROMs that include Pie Control AND Halo. I am really hoping there is one!
Thanks,
cerberusiscute

Have you checked out PA? I think they offer both

I think they are still only on Beta 4 and whatnot. Unless I am mistaken about the Beta 4 thing, they do not offer it.

Have you tried LMT and it's PIE implementation? Its free and you can use it on any ROM including stock. From what I understand it has more options/features than some of the PIE implementations in custom ROMs. I use it on both my Nexus 10 & 5.

Your best bet is to look through the development sections, a lot of them have it in the titles.

I have always loved DroidKang, however, the Pie is more essential to me than Halo. Since Slim just pushed RC3 I am using Slim because it does have built in SlimPie.

You can always use gravity box for pie and kang for halo.

I would really prefer a ROM with pie built in. That way I don't clutter up my app folder. I don't even use xposed anymore because I am so satisfied with Slim
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Im using slim. There are aspects of halo I like and aspects I don't like. For example, the floating chat head is useless to me. I see jo benefit. The floating windows though, that's useful. Or it would be if they could be resized and used as multiwindow....
Well I have that satisfied with xhalofloatingwindow module for xposed. Works well on slim if that's what you're looking for.

The latest Carbon ROM has PIE built-in. Been using it all morning w/ no noticeable flaws.

Halo doesn't appear to be cooked in on this particular ROM; was just responding to cerberusiscute as he stated the PIE was more beneficial to him than Halo. I suppose I could've PM'd directly, though. Apologies.

No worries. Just wondered. He already has pie

Lol...yes, reading fail on my end. I completely overlooked the line "Since Slim just pushed RC3 I am using Slim because it does have built in SlimPie."

[Question] ROM(s) with 4.2-like notification/quick-settings dual pulldown

Does anyone know if there are any ROMs out there with something similar to the notification/quick-settings that will (possibly) be on 4.2, dual pulldown?? I thought I saw one, but can't remember which one, or where I saw it.

Why would you think any rom has this feature? It was just shown off today.

MIUI has it. Here's a shot of the 2.3 version... 4.1 looks very similar.

That is something ENTIRELY different.
I understand that it was just shown off today as a part of 4.2...... I also know that there has been some videos floating around that showed off an early build of this feature, and we have some amazing devs here, just thought someone might have cooked something similar into their ROM.....and yes, I did see one that did, just don't remember which one!!

When the 4.2 source drops, then we'll start to see it integrated into AOSP roms. Until then... probably not going to happen.

[Q] [q] miui rom tab 2

Are there developers to making miui rom?
I don't think MiUi would work on a tablet. I maybe wrong but i haven't seen it anywhere except on the 7" ones as they can be used in portrait

I ever seen on youtube. On Nexus 7, KindleFire, and HP Touch pad. But, the UI becomes Phone UI. Indeed, MIUI ROM does not fit on the tablet. And I hope to miui developers to change it into a tablet ui.
I'm sorry with my bad english grammar!

Ah but they're all 7 inch... Except the TouchPad. I don't think the devs will do it. However its pretty simple to do if you have AOSP ICS

Anyone else more excited by Cyanogen's Nemesis announcement than googles 4.3? That camera looks amazing.

Looks great, it will be nice to have a universal camera app that can be used as a base for the community
I don't even remember when I installed NCamera... Gotta be at least 6 months (feels like it) and have been trying to find an update for it.
Thanks for the heads up. I tried the moto x cam but video doesn't work. I'll love it when that's stable, though.

Excited to see CM try to put back all the utility you lose when you load CM instead of a OEM based ROM..... zzzzzzzzzzzz
Please.... , if its anything like the effort at building a better CM launcher I won't lose sleep waiting.
Maybe the CM founder was right recently.

Wow, how cynical!
Much worth the effort to catch up to OEM camera considering the innumerable benefits to CM over TW. Camera is one of the FEW things keeping many on TW.

Cynical is accurate so. is innumerable .. innumerable = unable to be counted. I can;t count any.
As the former CM founder just said, "Do we even need root any more?" Why? Didn't he quit CM and go work for Samsung..... yeah he did.:cyclops:
And as i recall, also promptly quit Samsung.

I know my phone is faster than a stock S4, so I think root and AOSP in general has benefited my phone, yes.
Nothing like watching my S4-bearing friends drool over my phone.

Facebook Updated UI

I own a Nexus 5, the thing is I just installed Facebook on it.
But, I still get the old skeuomorphic detailed UI.
My friend has another Phone, and he has the Flat UI for the app.
Both the apps are on the same version.
Can anyone give me an insight to what's happening?
Thanks
The design is server controlled. Part of their beta program. They randomly select people with the update design. They'll shortly make it public after sometime I guess

What about the lock screen is it possible to port that
this looks promissing, waiting that Slow Shutter will work...
... You can't just port things like magic.
Unless the lockscreen is a standalone application (which for efficiency reasons they're not, rather, they're built into the framework), you can't do it.
Any news about the camera app? Is it possible to port the Oppo (COS) app to the AOSP roms?
