ChainFire3D does simillar things as well.
Doesn't also AdrenoBooster already compress textures making textures even more compressed also?
But yeah, it's useful.

Hmmm yes well ChainFire3D is a bit old and not updated, however this is essentially an updated version, but chainfire works with texture transfer and stuff, AdrenoBooster im not sure, but for me AB made games lower the fps but removed lags...
Did someone tried the app? I've already tried it, it works good but my phone's sound gone. The in-game sound is there but my ringtone is gone. Is it just my phone or you guys also experience the same??

I don't think ringtones are erased, you just can't select ringtones. But after you uninstall the app (using CWM), you phone is back to normal.

oh well,i m factory reset,but can't select ringtones and cam,music app launch error(Gin2KitKat v3.1.0).Time to flashtool
EDIT : intall Gin2KitKat_v3.1.0_PLAY.zip using CWM and now word fine (music app and camare app).

Did u ever try using a custom rom? Or kernel? I have a Samsung Captivate and compared TTR on "stock" (no root, nothing custom) and a custom rom and kernel. With somewhat lag on stock and none on custom.
Also u can adjust the audio delay in settings if for example: when u starting taping on the balls (lol) u notice ur accuracy bar (top right) indicates that ur taping too fast or too slow when ur really not.

I have not tried rooting my phone yet.. just got my htc desire last sat.. still new to all these rootings.am hoping to get some advice before I consider rooting...apparently,after deleting and moving apps to Sd, tap tap seem to be a lot less laggy.. now my internal memory is left with 36mb only...what are my options of freeing up more spaces for my internal memory
Just read on Engadget that a Nintendo64 emulator has finally been released for Android!
Its called N64oid and is $5.99 on the market, but worth every penny. Still a little laggy with some games, but pretty good. Played Mario Kart64 with no issues, but will probably struggle with more CPU intensive games such as Goldeneye.

Get wiimote from the market, it allows you to use your wii remote as the controller i dont think it works with sense though
Mario 64 here i come..yes!!
Just tested it out...with mario kart 64 and super mario 64.
list of problems i have:
sound is very laggy(i figured this one)
Mario kart froze on me 3 times in a row before it fully worked(but then it ran pretty good)
Super Mario 64 sound was ok and ran right out the gate.

You download the app via google/market, install, the you just search [insert N64 game] rom, then put the zip file on your sdcard, open the app, find it, and start playing.

Have you gotten it to work? I downloaded it, and shows it as connected in the app, but when I enable other inputs [ie bluetooth gamepad ] in the N64 emulatore, it doesn't work.
Are you using a sense rom, because I don't believe it will work with sense?

No, I'm on AOSP [CM7] When I'm in the wiimote app, I can see it confirming when I press B, 1,2, home ect, as the keys on the screen light up and its connected successfully. Just when I try to use it in the game, it doesn't work.
So I take it this emulator runs relatively well on our evo?

Yeah it works pretty well. Still a little laggy here and there, and won't play some games at all. But other than that, its pretty sweet.

Haha I meant like how well, I know how to run them I just meant I've been running psx emulators for a while with only moderate success and since n64 is running at 64 bit I was wondering how well it ran. Thank you though, that was very considerate!

No wont even boot up I tired several different roms from different sites all don't work...
One of them did cause the screen to flip but the on screen controls never showed up and then it just goes back to the rom list.

What makes this app any different than the app posted in THIS THREAD ( see post #563/564 for app ) other than yours was released a day later and has a different app name?
Does it allow user to restore SD card cache to default settings (128kb)?
I'm also wondering if this does anything more than adjust the read_ahead_kb value... my guess is not

Well, this is just an app which works with read_ahead_kb value. No secrets.
I don't think i did wild claims. I just wrote what's been possible in the best case.

THere is no difference for me, the application works but i don't feel anything better neither worst.
I have a Samsung µSD Classe 2, 4 GB.
I consider that optimum value for a card 2 class - 3072
does it survive a reboot ?? it seems that all apps which does this dont survive after reboot you always have to re-set the app to your desired speed.
Hey guys, I recently rooted my phone in hopes of getting Chainfire 3D working. I brought the pro app and for some reason it's not doing anything. I've read that I would need to download some plugins but I cannot even open the app itself. So does that mean I have a bad root on my phone? I do see Chainfire 3D in my apps manager but I can't access it. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks.

Well unfortunately issues persist. I was able to install Chainfire 3D on my Skyrocket, but I'm afraid it doesn't work. I downloaded all 3 necessary plugins, refresh the market,but I still can't see the game I would like. I'm looking for 9mm & Backstab.
Anyways, I did get the games by "other means" if only just to see if this app works. Well, it doesn't. Backstab hangs and forcecloses right after the intro scene and 9mm will not download correctly, it states that the game is incompatible for this device and to seek a refund.
I was fed up at this point and deleted the game and files. I would like to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible. Gameloft is having a sale on their games, and I would really like to pick up NOVA 2, Backstab and 9mm but how? I can't even see them on the market...
I'm starting to think that Chainfire 3d just doesn't work on the Skyrocket. Anyone else having issues? Please help?
Chainfire works with no problems at all, the device is not compatible error you're getting has nothing to do with chainfire and can easily be corrected by a simple edit to the build.prop file to change your device id to another supported phone

Ok. Well I downloaded Rom Toolbox. I noticed I can change my build.prop. Now I have tried this and it still doesn't work. Market does not show up with the games that I would like to purchase. Am I not changing the build.prop correctly? I'm using the Nexus name, should I use a different one for 9mm & backstab? At this point just a link towards a tutorial would be extremely helpful. Please help.

Hello guys!
I decided to make a new video showing all the missing visual effects for NOVA 3 on the NOTE.
It runs now like it does on the iPad 2 unlike the normal ipad 3 and phone versions which were missing those effects.
NOVA3 with all Visual Effects
In order to run with all the FX just install Chainfire 3D. I am using the Pro version because it lets me select settings per application.

I just click on the Application then select Per-app OpenGL settings.
Then look for NOVA 3 and click on it then just uncheck the "Use default settings" option.
That is all I did. Then I clicked Launch and I got all special effects.

The extra effects make the intro run a bit laggy but the actual game looks pretty smooth. I still think it looks smoother without the effects but is still smooth enough to play with the effects. You can compare the two videos on my channel.

Oh okay, much smoother than mine! But how about other games? Does the chainfire 3D drivers affect them anything without setting any per app settings?
The smoother one is actually with NO chainfire jus to clarify but even with 3D fire and the added effects it looks pretty smooth I think.
I have not tried any others but I will sure start digging about this because its is VERY interesting to say the least.
Try overclocking your GPU to 400MHz and bump up the voltage to 1050mV. You might find it will run smoothly then even with all effects on.

I am running 1.6Ghz and 400Mhz as per my fiery sig lol. Like I said, the game still looks smooth just not as smooth as without the effects,which of course is to be expected.
Mostly then INTRO is the one that seems to lag more as the actual game play looks almost the same to my eyes so , I can live with that but I wonder how can we hack the game to show the effects without chainfire. There has to be away for sure.
