Hello !
I'm struggling since yesterday for use a library into my app.
I managed to have RootTools to work because it was a jar file and I have imported it easily.
But I would like to use a color picker and things becomes more complicated.
Here are the two libraries that could do the trick :
http://code.google.com/p/android-color-picker/
https://github.com/LarsWerkman/HoloColorPicker
How can I use them ?
I've tried Import module in the Project structure without luck, building HoloColorPicker failed, and so on.
I have read numerous How-To but none of them works... So after 5-6 hours of fight, I'm giving up.

I am currently trying to speed up the ProGuard process for projects using large libraries, such as scala-library.
I have made some solid progess, however, one thing stile evades me.
Here is the scenario I have so far and what is (not) working:
[WORKS] If the application hasn't been built already, ProGuard is ran over everything
[WORKS] If the app has been build already, but some new classes/methods from the big library have been used that havent been used before, run ProGuard over everything but with extra keep options
[FAILS] If the app has been built already, but the new version does not use any other classes than the ones that are already kept by ProGuard
Compile the source
Dex compiled classes
Merge the new, partial dex (app.dex) with current dex used in apk (classes.dex)
Package APK
The error I get using logcat is that the class MainActivity does not exist. The copy of my question (including the logcat log) can be found here.
Please help me, XDA. You're my only hope.
OK, this can be closed now, I figured it out. The answer is on StackOverflow
Okay I know there are a bunch of these topics out there, but I have tried just about everything I could find and still I cannot get it to work. I have worked with my project for about 6 months with no errors, I stopped for 3 months and got back into it on a new computer and now it keeps giving me this error when trying to export a signed APK. I have tried the following:
Turning off Build Automatically (and cleaning the project many many times)
Tried Android Tools fix project settings
Changing the proguard.bat to include %1 %2 %3 etc
Removing the libraries from the Java Build Path > Libraries
Uninstalling Eclipse and Reinstalling the new version
Using the new Android ADT Studio
Removing the SDK's and downloading all the new SDK's
I am getting very frustrated and 7500 lines of code in, I dont feel like just starting over. Any suggestions on what steps i should take next?
This is the console error I am receiving:
Code:
[2014-11-08 17:48:57 - ZombieBird-android] Dx
trouble processing "java/io/BufferedInputStream.class":
Ill-advised or mistaken usage of a core class (java.* or javax.*)
when not building a core library.
This is often due to inadvertently including a core library file
in your application's project, when using an IDE (such as
Eclipse). If you are sure you're not intentionally defining a
core class, then this is the most likely explanation of what's
going on.
However, you might actually be trying to define a class in a core
namespace, the source of which you may have taken, for example,
from a non-Android virtual machine project. This will most
assuredly not work. At a minimum, it jeopardizes the
compatibility of your app with future versions of the platform.
It is also often of questionable legality.
If you really intend to build a core library -- which is only
appropriate as part of creating a full virtual machine
distribution, as opposed to compiling an application -- then use
the "--core-library" option to suppress this error message.
If you go ahead and use "--core-library" but are in fact
building an application, then be forewarned that your application
will still fail to build or run, at some point. Please be
prepared for angry customers who find, for example, that your
application ceases to function once they upgrade their operating
system. You will be to blame for this problem.
If you are legitimately using some code that happens to be in a
core package, then the easiest safe alternative you have is to
repackage that code. That is, move the classes in question into
your own package namespace. This means that they will never be in
conflict with core system classes. JarJar is a tool that may help
you in this endeavor. If you find that you cannot do this, then
that is an indication that the path you are on will ultimately
lead to pain, suffering, grief, and lamentation.

Thank you!
Can someone please help? I'd really appreciate it....
Hi Guys,
I wanna start developing apps for the gearS2. Foir now I have some experience with html and several other languages mainly for windows applications and also last programming job was like 6 years ago so I'm not really up to date with all the different options for developing.
For start I tried to use the tizen SDK but I'm a little lost due to the variaty of options and also the quite buggy SDK. Installing the 2.4 SDK left me with an error for the simulator (hax not working). I t hink i got arround this by installing this manually. Emulator works now but for example the UI builder doesnt work. So my thought is to start a web app with tau as this seems to work quite reliable. My goal is to write a basic control of my hue lights (I know there is an app for that but I wanna try to build my own). My plan is to use an java lib for the hue commands and do the rest via the tau/html/javascript.
Now my question is if anyone can give me any advice on how to start developing. Does my plan seem valid. Can anyone help me or give me some tips? Maybe I'm missing something or someone just has some shortcuts.
Thanks in advance.
Björn
Hi.
I found this "howto" : http://www.tizenexperts.com/2015/12/how-to-deploy-to-gear-s2-smartwatch/
It helped me to successfully deploy a project sample on my gear s2 folllowing these steps :
- install sdk
- generate & configure author certificate.
- download, compile and run/deploy a project sample on the gear s2 (SensorBall).
During the "Request the Certificate" step, I ran into this java exception :
Unhandled event loop exception No more handles [Unknown Mozilla path (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME not set)]
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
I'm on "debian jessie" with "openjdk7":
If this happens:
- install package "libwebkitgtk-1.0-0"
- add "-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.DefaultType=webkit" to you "eclipse.ini" file
- restart tizen.
At the end, you'll have a new app installed on your watch. You can recognized it with the tizen icon.
I hope this can help you.
Bye.
thank you for your feedback akaiah.
I found this site earlier, requested a certificate but then I couldnt find the site again. So thx for the link.
My problems are more linked to
a) the general structure of webapps for tizen
b) rusty coding skills (last time i coded was 6 years ago and mainly c# / object pascal for windows)
c) problems with tau / it's documentation
Maybe someone can help with a few detailed questions.
First question is regarding the online samples. I've found the following code in one sample for wearables (calendar app) but I don't know what this is and if I should be using stuff like this. It doesn't look like standard javascript to me but I can't find any API/library included either:
Code:
/**
* App module.
* @requires {@link Calendar/views/initPage}
* @namespace Calendar/app
* @memberof Calendar
*/
define({
name: 'app',
requires: [
'views/initPage'
],
def: function appInit() {
'use strict';
/**
* Initializes the app.
* @memberof Calendar/app
*/
function init() {
console.log('app::init');
}
return {
init: init
};
}
});
Second question is regarding jquery. Which version should I use and how am I supposed to include this? I'm using the 2.4 SDK download but programming a wearable web app with 2.3.1. I tried inlcuding jquery by downloading the latest version 2.1.4 (uncompressed) and putting it in my lib file folder, then including it in the html header. I have the feeling though that this is causing some issues. E.G. some notations don't work:
Code:
$( "#divname" ).innerHTML = "newtext";
doesnt work. No error just no result.
Third question is regarding tau. I tried to create a popup and register a callback for the popupafterclose-event like this but it doesn't work (event is not fired)
HTML:
<!--Popup HTML code-->
<div id="popup" data-role="popup">
<p>This is a completely basic popup, no options set.</p>
</div>
<script>
// Use popup events
var popup = document.getElementById("popup");
popup.addEventListener("popupafteropen", function()
{
// Implement code for popupafteropen event
});
</script>
taken form HERE
What am I doing wrong here? Is this the correct API im looking here or maybe does it collide with the jquery library?
For any tips I would be very thankfull.
Greetings
Björn
Wow thanks finally some one. I wold love to root my device ..
If theres a way.
If anyone was wondering about this issue, I kind of got this solved.
I just started an new project copied over all code and removed my jquqery imports and the code that gave me errors before just works fine. TAU in generell seems to be quite buggy and is easily be destroyed by an "unlucky" combination of UI changes (opening a popup or another window).
Even a week later I still don't know what the code in the calendar sample is from and tau seems not to be the most stable library out there. If anyone else has trouble starting developing for this I'm happy to share more experiences.
Greetings from germany
Hi all,
Excited to be a new member to this forum, seems like there is lots of powerful information here.
So, not the most clear title ever, but a specific example of my problem goes like this. If I want to take advantage of googles launcher3 src code such as CellLayout.java (packages/apps/Launcher3/src/com/android/launcher3/CellLayout.java) so I can play with the ability to reorganize the home screens app layout using the methods existing in that file. I would wish to import this CellLayout.java file so I can use it from a quick setting tile button's file, such as in the airplane mode tile.
In file frameworks/base/packages/SystemUI/src/com/android/systemui/qs/tiles/AirplaneModeTile.java
So if I add the line "import com.android.launcher3.CellLayout;" in AirplaneModeTile.java, when I do a full AOSP build with the changes to the two files I get a compile time Error on the import code that "launcher3 cannot be resolved".
If I had to guess these two files are in different domains of sorts, and I think when I build using GNU make from the top directory, the Google App's code (h t tps:// android.googlesource. c o m /platform/packages/apps/) such as the AlarmClock, Contacts, Camera, and Launcher3 for example are built and then removed from scope at a different time than the Android systemui code.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
Hello, if you know what cSploit is you also probably knows that it's buggy and outdated.
I have taken time to rebrand the software, mixing versions, and modifying code.
My goal was to fix the login cracker which was not giving status output since the C regex was broken, so I re implemented the original dSploit 1.0 fashion - each tried passwords are shown - and the progress bar is effective. Also did modify the java code and res to be able to fully use hydra (more options, and most importantly being able to pass http related plugins parameters).
Metasploit is outdated, and ruby 1.9 cannot run the lattest version; so I switched to version 2.7, which is running: we can install gems.
Issue is that when downloading the MSF and setting it up, the bundle doesn't return, and gives no output. I don't know what is happening here, there may be a prompt for administrator's password so I run 'bundle install' as root, but it doesn't change anything.
gem install bundler does succeed, but not bundle install, showing forever "downloading gems". This part is tricky and I need people to look upon it with fresh eyes (I spent too much time on the code).
I'm calling the project eSploit and renamed a lot of things like package name, since I have been working alone and that the cSploit project is utterly abandoned, but still is delivered on platforms like nethunter store despite the bugs and EOF notice. So don't judge me on taking it over since no one cares.
Status is:
Nmap: fully functionnal
Hydra: restore not working (restore file's path issue)
Exploit finder: Not working since the MSF doesn't update yet -see above- , and that is the milestone.
MITM: not tested, might just get rid of it.
There is a change of strategy in the way we will retrieve exploits, instead of contacting outbound server and pass it the result of the inspector, then seeking in the metasploit database for the CVE, we will just pass the inspector's result to metasploit. No difference, and the thing will be working on local networks without internet connection,
To be honest this is a bit like pinning a nail with a bulldozer, but for now there is no alternative.
Submodules are removed from git, instead there's a big working tree with all the dependencies.
Note that the openssl library originaly shipped with the package doesn't 'work' with most newer software, hence are we using 1.1.1l for ruby, and will either stick to the lattest for older softwares (like hydra 8.8) or update the programs, so now only nmap is working.
So you tell me what you think of it, and don't hesitate to report bugs on github, ask me questions about the architecture of the software (originally designed by simone margaritelly), and help me finding a solution to the main issue.

This is very cool. It would be really cool if this is working. I hope that you can fix these Problems
cSploit, dSploit.. now eSploit i really like this program.
Any similarities with zANTI ?
I am very interested in this project! But the github page is offline Are you still working on this?
Hi people, I got to some reasoning that this was not needed, though being cool to have the metasploit framework for android, I remember now how younger I tried to hack into things without a proper vulnerability scanner. This results in frustration. You can't know just from an nmap scan what exploit to launch. This thing would be awesome with (for instance) greenbone. But as is it is like attacking tanks with guns.
So I dropped it and deleted the repository.
Thanks for your reactions.
