Hello all,
This is my first message and I would like to thank in advance to all whom have anything to say.
I just got myself an SM-P602 in Turkey. 602 is a variant of 601 which lacks the phone function (Maybe some other stuff as well).
It came with Android 4.3 preloaded and installed a couple security updates during the first boot. Now here's the current system info:
Android version: 4.3
Baseband version: P602JVUAMJ2
Kernel version: 3.4.39-1682900 / [email protected] #1 / Tue Oct 14 18:19:14 KST 2013
Build numer: JSS15J.P602JVUAMJ2
SELinux status: SEPF_SM-P602_4.3_0002
There is a video on Youtube (Unfortunately can't post a link because it's my first message) which shows this feature on a SM-P600. His Kernel version is higher than mine (3.4.39-2040736).
Now I want to know if there's a way to upgrade the kernel to get the multi user support (I guess it's available on P602JVUAMJ4). It's not rooted, but I might take that path if necessary.
Again, thanks a lot in advance

Hello,
I need help doing a fresh install on my android phone. It is a Chinese Android phone called Mega Droid purchased from chinavasion.com. As I do with computers I have installed stuff, removed stuff, gained root access and generally made a bit of a mess of my phone. I feel I need to do a complete re-install of the Android image. Herein lies the problem. I have no idea what Rom I could install with no issues both stock or custom? My phones details are:

Hi,
I bought this phone recently on ebay. I can see that it's a Korean version (or Chinese?). I run it on Lycamobile (a T-mobile MVNO). And yeah, I am currently residing in USA. I also observed that there is a custom ROM installed on my phone which is named zhibin99. When I try to restart my phone, a console dialog box pops up with a heading "zhibin99 ROM" and it gives me three options to choose from. But all the three option are in Korean or Chinese. So I cannot understand and I never chose any.
Coming to the actual point, I am unable to send text messages. It always says that message sending failed. A week ago, I just changed the proxy settings available on T-mobile's website and suddenly I was able to send text messages but that lasted for a little over 2 days. I got the problem back. Can someone help me overcome this, please?
P.S. I also have some unusual names beside the phone numbers in my call log, such as "FujianQuanzhou", "GuandonFoshan", "FujianNanping", "ShandongHeze", "SichuanBazhonh" and "GuangdongGuanzhou". I'd very thankful if someone can help me with this one too.
Thanks!.

First my phone information:
Model number; SM-G900V
Android version: 4.4.4
Baseband version: G900VVRU1AN12
Kernal version: 3.4.0 dated Sun Sep 13 2014
Build number: KTU84P.G900VVRU1AN12
SE for Android Status: Enforcing SEPF_SMG900V_4.4.4_0032 Dated Oct 13 2014
Security software version: MDFv1.0, Release 3 , VPN v1.4 Release 1
I want to be able to utilize my external SD card and thus my need to root my phone. I have been reading through the threads and indications are that I can do that with towelroot. I also know towel root would be the way to go. However, given the date of my kernal is this even possible yet? If so, can someone direct me to the proper root instructions if that is other than towelroot please? I really don't want to change from the stock ROM at this time but want to be able to have the flexibility to do that in the future.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Here is a dedicated help thread in your device section that you can ask about this in,

Good luck!
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 (Model SCH-I705). I am wondering what is the best (most stable) recent Android version I can put on this device? I want the device to remain rooted in the process and to not damage the baseband or ability to use Verizon service.
Can I get Android Lollipop working well? If not, is there a build of KitKit (4.4.x) I can use?
The device currently has the following installed and is running stable:
-A pre-rooted distribution of the stock android OS, 4.1.2 that was installed Oct 2013 that had been distributed here in the XDA forums.
-Baseband I705VRBLL2
-Kernel 3.0.31-918075 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Feb 1 01:56:10 KST
-Build number JZ054K.I705VRBLL2
-Bootloader was updated to an "insecure" version along with the rooted install.
-TWRP 2.4.4.0 Recovery
-SDM app frozen in Titanium backup to disable over the air updates.
Device is hardware version I705.03.
Thanks
Is this the only ROM I can update to?

I own a clone Samsung Galaxy S7 and it is filled with bloatwares so I rooted it and removed some System Apps. I messed it up and I want to reinstall Android, where can I get it and how will I install it? I'm not sure if "install and reinstall" is the right term for it.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately this is not really something we can help you with , you will need to contact the phone manufacturer and ask them for the original firmware
Good Luck
