[Q] a simple check list app is there a template? - Other Tools & General Discussion

instead of having to print out a paper sheet every time i want to have a checklist for something
say for buying a used car.
can i have a phone based app that i can edit on the computer and load to the phone?
for example.
i want to have a checklist for each area of the car such as interior engine suspension body etc
where i can separate each section to different page. just a simple checklist so i dont forget to check something
and then edit every time i need to change something. say to add a check for a car specific problem
is there a template for that type of app so i can just input the lines of txt with checkmark nex to it?

[Q] Autocomplete forms with picture?

I've been looking for an app or a way to complete a form using a picture of it. We have dry erase boards set up at work which employees fill out during production and at the end of the day we transfer the data to an excel file. I'm one of the, youngest, only tech gurus around work and I usually take a picture of each board then sit at my desk and complete the forms rather than stand at each one and hold the work laptop. Anyhow, we have a galaxy note 10.1 (wifi), iPad and several other devices. I prefer the Note! I'd like to create the board in an app then take a picture of said board which will then complete my form by transferring the numbers. I'm sure some of you may have seen the Words With Friends aspect of this...screen shot your current game board then the 'cheat' app loads it and gives you all the available words you can play. I want the same thing basically, if possible?
Any suggestions?
If I understand you correctly it sounds like you could take a picture of the board and use it as a background in SNote then just place your text in the proper places. Problem you can not (as yet) save the picture as a template so you need to add the pic for each new note.

VOICE : Best way to append / add to list WITHOUT touching phone (aka headset/voice co

Busy father, there are so many details and shopping lists I need, a quick thought will pop on my head that I need to remember but I usually have my hands full. I have an LG tone headset and can activate S Voice / Google Now but neither application can seem to understand how to append or add to a list.
I want to be able to say "ADD to shopping, brake cleaner". Right now the best I can do is add a single task, but I don't want to have 10 seperate task to sort through. I just can't believe there isn't a way to do this.
I am rooted if that makes any difference.

create an overlay app to detect screen

I am looking to basically create a bot for a game to do some time consuming boring functions so that I don't have to. I am familiar with a few languages but not java (i'm assuming id need to use java to create this).
My question: I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction and tell me if learning Java is what I need to do, or if there is some kind of bot app out there that I could work with.
What I am trying to do : I want to create something that will run over top of the game I am playing, when I activate it, number values would be checked and if they dont meet a certain criteria the next button is pressed.
I know there are no such thing as free handouts and Im not asking anyone to design this for me, just looking for someone to point me in the right direction so I can read, learn, and develop this.
Create an overlay app to detect screen.
To turn off the screen overlay for 2 minutes, complete the following :-
1.Open Settings.
2.Select Apps.
3.Tap the Gear icon.
4.Select Draw over other apps.
5.Enable Temporarily turn off overlays.
6.Close and reopen the application.
7.Set the application permission.

A simple dialer for kids

Hello guys,
I'm looking for an Android app that can only show (configured or not) phone IDs and icons and blocks anything except these contacts.
I need this for my son, just to see mine and my wife's phone Contact IDs but without the numbers(it's very important). I've been searching for a while but didn't find anything useful.
Could you please suggest/advice me?
BTW Samsung has similar application for they Kids Home/mode with name My phone, but the kid's phone is Sony and I can't port/install it.
I'm not aware of any app like this. But, Tasker (an automation app) can be configured to do what you want. If you're not familiar with Tasker, it's a bit of a learning curve, but extremely powerful.
If you would like to go in this direction, post in the Tasker forum and tag me (@ symbol in front of my username). I'll help you get started and create an app for that [emoji6]
You can consider buying your kids another device instead of a phone, like a wearable device. I see many cheap wearable band that have basic dial-up features, they re really easy for kids to use
