I want my HTC Desire X downgraded to Android 4.0 ICS. Please help - General Questions and Answers

I recently got my HTC Desire X upgraded by the HTC care people. They upgraded my HTC Android 4.0 ICS to Android 4.1 JB. I'm quite irritated with the new Android, as my favourable options are missing from my phone, mainly being MASS STORAGE. I hate it when my phone drives and removable drives open just like some folder, when I connect my phone to pc. I used to access them like separate drives with MASS STORAGE option when my phone had Android 4.0 ICS. Please help me. I seriously want to go back to Android 4.0 ICS. Can I downgrade? When I asked HTC Care guys, they said that they dont have the facility to downgrade. Please suggest some way to get downgrading facility.

[Q] How can I get Android 2.3 and the latest version of HTC Sense on my HTC Desire?

Hello everybody.
I have a non-rooted HTC Desire that I have upgraded, over-the-air, to Android 2.2.
I want to get Android 2.3 on this baby as well as the latest version of HTC Sense (the one where you can shuffle screens in leap view, that has a scrollable list of last used apps in the notification bar...).
I've read a while back that someone made a HTC Desire HD ROM for the HTC Desire but that many essential features weren't working. But at any rate, the HTC Desire HD has the new HTC Sense but not Gingerbread.
I've also never rooted my phone, I'm wondering if anyone can help.
if u can wait then wait for an official gingerbrd update..
else root ur phone and search the forum for a GB rom.. u will find lots for ur phone

[Q] Upgrade frrom gingerbread

Hi, I really am a complete noob on matters like this, so please any relevant answers please put in layman's terms.
I currently have a rooted desire hd running gingerbread 2.3.3, I have received a notification that I can upgrade to 2.3.5 with HTC sense 3. I want to upgrade but do not want to lose my root.
I have been trying to download the Android revolution HD 6.3.1, but it keeps timing out saying tiny.cc server is too slow or not responding.
Anyone know of any other way to upgrade to 2.3.5 with HTC sense 3 and keep the root?
Thanks

[Q] Help with HTC Amaze 4G ICS Stock ROM

Why hello XDA folks. My name is Kyralik, and I have a VERY SIMPLE QUESTION that nobody seems to want to help me with. I'm going to save the sob story for another day.
I have a T-Mobile HTC Amaze 4G which I have unlocked using the Amaze All In One Kit by Hasoon2000: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493905
I am looking to replace my Stock T-Mobile Sense ROM with the VANILLA Ice Cream Sandwich ROM, a completely clean un-modified ICS 4.0.x ROM. My Amaze is currently running ICS 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6; again, the main purpose of this is to REMOVE SENSE UI, because I dislike it, and I'm a fan of the minimalism in ICS stock.
To recap, I have an HTC Amaze 4G, unlocked but not yet rooted, with ICS 4.0.3 and Sense 3.6. I would like to replace this ROM with a clean ICS 4.0.whatever. I have a Mac and a PC, access to USB, internet, all the standard stuff.
IF YOU CAN HELP ME ACCOMPLISH MY TASK, OR EVEN COME CLOSE, I WILL TRY TO HELP YOU AS BEST AS I CAN WITH ANY OF YOUR XDA-RELATED ISSUES.

Upgrade Android 2.3.5 to android 4.0

Hi all
how can i Upgrade Android 2.3.5 to android 4.0.
I have sought for solution but to no avail. If there is a side effect, i would like to know cos i figured its better to have it as it is than upgrade and have multiple issues.
this question might be commonplace but i do really need to know.
thanks
The 4.0 ruu was only released as a research and development release, it is buggy.
I would recommend installing a custom rom instead. (see the guides in this forum)
Yeah I agree its really not at all what its cracked up to be I regret ever downloading it
Sent from HTC desire S Android 4.0.4
I started installing 4.0.4 more than 20minutes ago whereas it should have taken about 10 minutes. I'm afraid waiting won't help. What do you suggest to recover from the situation? I don't want to have my htc bricked..
Did anything pop up on the screen during installation

DON'T go to 4.0 ROMs whatsoever. Stay with 2.3 or jump right to 4.2+ ROMs. My experience.
