I want to make a Mario 64 karaoke app where you play along with all Mario 64 songs. Heres the kicker, all art within app is made by me, hand drawn. and the music is fan made karaoke music being used with permission. will this app get suspended from Google Play? it contains no copyrighted content right? the karaoke songs aren't even accurate to the true in game songs of Mario 64. so some beats aren't even in there. i hand drew the mario 64 logo...its black and white and in pencil sketch. i was gonna color it but i figured it would then resemble the original logo too much. anyways, just wanna know if im safe or should i not do this? oh and am i allowed to call it "MusicBOP! Mario 64 Edition"????

so you mean to say that you have everything made by you.. just the logo is matching (a bit- right? ) well if it's a new concept.. change the name and logo a bit.. and you are good to go!!

Yes, all art and logos created by me. the music is all "karaoke" music of the popular mario 64 songs. so when you fire my app up, you see mario...drawn by me...you see mario 64 logo, pencil sketched by me, you play level and its in a GUITAR HERO fasion, and the famous music from mario 64 game starts playing. however, it isnt music FROM the game, its karaoke copy cats.
If your using 100 user created content then legally speaking you "should" be fine fair use allows for satire parody and the likes. But fair use gets scoffed at constantly and ignored by big companys. Nintendo has a nasty track record of doing this. So while "techniclly" you are fine if nintendo wanted to c&d you they could. Personally I would just not bother with Nintendo parody unless you are ready to deal with possible BS.

Would it be better to just rename the whole thing? Super Blario Hero? lmao. Still use the mario songs that are karaoke versions but put no image of a fake mario, just a logo saying whatever i come up with...MusicBOP! Blario Brothers lol
EDIT: I was planning on using the mario franchise to get people to download. Perhaps i should just start from scratch and use purely my own stuff. I have a friend who raps, hes actually good. he makes his own beats in frooty loops and all. he has his music free on many mp3 sites. i spoke with him about adding his music into a game thats guitar hero like. he loved the idea. will be free with admob ads. but because hes not known would anyone really download it? versus playing mario songs....

Well, before i could even start this project Google terminated my entire account....I had one app suspended due to copyright image, so i edited it and removed all images to comply and re uploaded new package name etc. BAM....banned. i think their automated process thought i was re-uploading a banned app. i have appealed it...dunno if it will work.
As of now, i am trying to jump over to Amazon Store and the Samsung Store. That and im torrenting my apps. my apps are free with admob ads so it doesn't matter where people DL em. however, i have been reading that once Google suspends your account they eventually shut down admob account too...
I wonder, IF Google refuses to reinstate my account, why couldn't i just sign up for a new one using my wife's info? Use her bank account, her social etc etc. just upload NEW apps non related to my old ones...? Would this work or would they detect my ip address. and if they will detect my ip, can i not just cancel my internet and have it turned back on to get a completely NEW ip?

There is Scrabble. It's not on the market, but you can buy it off of EA Mobile's website or find it in some dark corner of the internet

I bought it at gameloft, and its running GREAT
I have had to uninstall this game.
For some reason my media players, including Mediscape pics up the sound files from the game, so when listening to music on shuffle, I get a blaring horn noise, or revving engine sound, or screeching tire effects in my ears, and because there are a lot of game sound files, I get more game effect noises then actual music!

or you could have created a blank text document , name it ".nomedia" and place it in the folder containing the game files

Or also used something like mortplayer which only plays files from folders you specify.
How do I install this. This is not .apk but the files.

I prefer this to jrioni, it has a better user interface.
Games run at good speed, just as good as jrioni, and I find the sound better in this.
Still no save states that I can see though.
Posting for tiger kings emulator to own them all. Mame needs save states to be functional imho. I play for 5 minutes at a time at work and can't progress in games without save states.
The good thing about this emulator is that it saves all your high scores. with Jromi you have to manually save and load your high scores.
My Metal Slugs and CPS2 games dont seem to work though.

They are *arcade* games. They're only meant to be played for 5 minutes at a time. Only purpose for savestates is if you are cheating your way through a game with infinite quarters.

Totally disagree with this.
Some games take 30+ minutes to beat and complete. Some are even longer taking 1 hour+ to beat.
You forget that this is a mobile device. Which means you are playing games on the move.
People playing on trains, aeorplanes, cars, 10 minute work breaks, sitting at the bus stop, sitting on the toilet (yea i do this ), etc etc etc
You want to continue your game, but at a later date.

This sentence makes zero sense if you sit to think about it.
"Infinite Quarters" are there whether you have save states or not
Completing metal slugs, alien vs predator, final fight, street fighter, strider, rampage, ghould n ghosts, heck LOADS of games take ALOT longer than 5 minutes.
If you played ghould n ghosts for 5 minutes at a time, you would forever be playing the first level.

Yes, it is inconclusive, save states ARE needed.
However i have some unfortunate news, MAME4ALL will NEVER have save states, since it is based on a version of MAME that doesnt have them either.
Our only hope is to see what magic Tiger King can produce.
Anyway, no disrespect to Jrioni, i was one of the people that loved and bought his version of Mame.
I support him ALL the way.
But this version of Mame i prefer, the UI is superior to Jrioni. And since it is free, there is no need to purchase Jrioni anymore.
Anyone who wants to play Mame games, this is now the best version.
Glad I held off from buying Jrioni now. Was waiting for save states.
This seems better, though without save states as well.
...and to say Save States are not needed on a mobile device is well...I'm not going to get into it again...but its pretty stupid.

reason why i ask its pointless playing mame games for me on medium setting, i like to crank the difficulty up on games, otherwise no challenge !

Which is quite annoying because i cant change the analog sensitivity for games like Paperboy, which is unplayable on Mame4Droid because he steers to the left all the time.
Jrioni's graphics seem to be a bit better too. Mame4droid is a bit blockier.
Sound and speed works best on Mame4Droid though. And Mame4Droid is far more user friendly in setting up screen sizes etc.
mame4droid support dip switches u can enable it during in games by pressing select+start at the same time will bring up the menu, only the bad side is the graphic blockier but enable smooth graphic the games lag if it can fixed this then this is the best emu u can get for play.
Does the APP comes with roms or do you have to download them if so from where?! does the app run well on the sony play?

Yes!
Dip switches work.
This is hands down the best Mame emulator for Android. The only thing that can top this is save states or support for newer ROM sets.
Guy above. Don't ask for roms here. They are easily findable with any search engine.
for the roms to work with this Emulator what file type do the roms need to be?

I must be doing something wrong because even though sound is a bit better than Jrioni's, this emus is much slower, almost unplayable. So I will stick to Jrioni.

What games are you seeing that are slower?
For instance Three Wonders, and Mortal Kombat 2 does not work. On a second attempt I uninstalled it and downloaded from Market and works fine now.
FYI Three Wonders works perfectly in Tiger Arcade 2.20
I'm trying to put this on my ATT Captivate and I can not get the games to show up on the program. I know that I have the right versions of the games. After installing the program, I checked the SD card to see if a ROMs folder was created. There wasn't any so I created a ROMs/Mame4all/roms folder which didn't help. I tried to move the program to the SD card, but I couldn't see the folder when I put the card in a reader. What am I doing wrong?
Never mind. It was on the phone. I was able to see the folder after plugging the phone directly into the computer.

sometime the game just wont record your time, its happen to many people.
I've had to run the time over and over in each category before it would record.
such as, in a pro league race, or bet to race and so on.
even now i have a couple times that won't record correctly in friends list.
but if you check your garage of car stats it will show your best time correctly.
I've hit 12.358 on level 7 half mile with the Novitec Rosso about 10 times and it hasn't recorded it.

i play this game all the time but once you buy the venom the game will get boring fast at least for me it did although i cannot complain it helped me fix my boredom problems at school etc

check out the video of a pretty fast level 3 skyline doing 9.947 pretty much never loses a race in pro league and very easy to drive once you get the hang of it. even if you get a bad launch you can still get below 9.999

At the time I was searching in the G PLay i found interesting app for two players which i wanted. This app has a single player mode too, but multiplayer is funny. I try it with my friend, because i knew it from my school ages and i liked it. You have to destroy opponent's points erlier than he. Try it, maybe you will like it as i like it .
