[Q] Quick Reply gone in threads??? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

A couple of days ago I logged on here and noticed that my option for Quick Reply on the bottom of a thread was gone. Also, now every time I try to reply I have to enter a 'Image Verification' code in order to post. Did one of my settings change or did the site change?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I didnt know where to post it.

You should contact a moderator because I see the quick reply and haven't had to image verify in a long time. Honestly I forgot they do that for new members (obviously you are not new).

You don't have to know everything, most of the users here start without any knowledge about windows mobile, I started this way too.
But it isn't very hard to check the wiki or use the search function.
try this link:
http://www.google.com/cse?cx=partne...-8859-1&q=sent+notification+disable&sa=Search
and look how many answers it turns up!
but yes as thecrazyman64 noted, you can use advanced configutation tools for this.
BTW it would be a good idea to put your device and rom/wm version in your signature so other members can see at once which device you have problems with, if you have any more question
no need to get rude. It is a common rule here to first search and then post a question. The forum would overflow if everyone just asked everything they didn't know without looking around first. There aren't really many things unanswered here!

[Q] How to search the forum?

Hi there.
I've been using the forum for a while now, but never felt the need to ask something, nor to respond (as I'm a noob).
But today I was going to ask a question in the developers forum, I receive a message saying I first have to post 10 messages.
From then on I can't perform searches any more.
Is that right or have I done something wrong?
Thanks,
Caio
You did not do anything wrong really. Maybe close your browser and re open it or do a restart and see if you still can not use the search function. The ten post thing is a rulle to try and keep the devwlopment forums clean. Next time you have a question post it here in the general or the Q&A forums. If you continue to have trouble with the search function cantact q admi.istrator or moderator.

Hi,
The search function has been down all day.
I never realized how much I used it,until it disappeared.
Ok them. I guess I basically surf the forum via the search, so I'm missing it too much. But if the feature is down for everyone I'll have to try again later.
Thank you guys for the prompt answers!
Goto google and paste this in:
site:xda-developers.com HTC sensation issues
Replace 'issues' with anything you are looking for help on.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using Tapatalk 2
Close your eyes and cross your fingers the forum search suxs!
Ok. Thanks for all your replies. But as my problem with the search has been resolved, how can I delete or close the threads?
When you hit search, if nothing comes up, just hit F5. Works like a charm, every single time

[Q] new quoted posts link has stopped working correctly

Before today, when someone would quote one of my posts, I'd click on the new quotes notification in the notifications dropdown menu and it would show me the list of quotes. Then I could click to go directly to the quote. Starting today, clicking the new post quotes takes me to my profile page, and then the notifications get cleared. And then I can't find a way to see what's recently been quoted. Is it just me, or did something change in the past day?

same here!!
edit:
mine is now fixed!
this has been happening to me from the first day!
It's working for me now. I directly entered this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/usertag.php?do=profilenotif&tab=quotes
into the address bar, and it worked. Since then, the link in my notifications' dropdown works, but I wouldn't think that I somehow fixed it myself.

Something strange with XDA

so any time i try to type into the post reply or anything like that it autofills with a post quote and a reply i gave in a Q&A thread. no matter where i go on the site it auto populates the reply, even overwrites a different quote with it. it's weird because it includes my reply. so for some reason this site has saved my post quote and reply and overwrites anything i try to quote or reply. does anyone know wth is happening and how to stop it? i'm on linux mint and using Chromium. i've cleared all the history/cookies and everything back to the beginning of time. this is really frustrating.
EDIT**** i disabled all add ons on Chromium and slowly turned them back on till i found the one that was doing this. LastPass was auto filling the reply box for some strange reason even though i never told it to and had told it clear all auto fill forms. i had to manually edit the xda entry and found that it in fact had an auto fill form for this site. i just removed it and all is good again. mods feel free to delete this thread.

[Q] find & list all my posts in xda

How do I do this?
Trying to find a thread I started. Even when I do a search under my username it only comes back with one reply I made a couple of days ago.
In your profile, statistics tab, you can find a link to all your posts.
Or at home, general tab, you can select participated tab which will list all the threads you have ever posted on.

Thanks.
I think they must've all been deleted as it shows just this one & the one I mentioned.
A shame, someone replied to a question which I've just found the time to try. Now I can't find the thread

I mostly use google to search in forums, cause the built in searchers suck badly. Try using google: arb76 site:forum.xda-developers.com
