On UB, rooted. Was previously running on PureSlim rom. Now on other rom based on stock kernel 6.2.1.B.96. I had TWRP before. But after flashing the new rom, then the kernel, i could not boot into recovery. So i tried to install CWM. Tried via RecoverX(says installed sucsessfully,but was not able to boot in phone), cwm-install-en.bat file(says" an error occurred executing abd.stoping process) All the drivers are properly installed! Searched for kernels with pre-rooted and installed recovery, but the threads were closed.All i need is a Recovery. :crying:
Someone please do help me with this :/

Hey guys, I've seen this issue before yet I've tried everything in a few threads now but have no idea what is happening,I have tried using search function yet no solution has fixed my problem.
Problem:
When installing custom ROMs the installation goes fine. I put the ROM on the sdcard, follow instructions for flashing e.g wipe data/cache etc and then flash GAPPS. However I get stuck on the boot logo of every ROM. I've tried both TWRP and CWM recoveries, both with no luck. Also tried not flashing GAPPS and just trying to flash the ROM to no avail.
Current state of phone:
The phone is currently running stock firmware via downloading factory image and flashing in boot-loader : stock boot, recovery, system image etc
The phone works fine when rooted on stock firmware. E.g no custom rom yet rooted.
Could really do with some help guys, any ideas?

same problem simple solution another user informed me of.
simply donwgrade to 4.3 JB stock rom through fastboot. Then you are able to flash a custm rom from the 4.3 stock rom.
Its crazy i have to do this but it worked for me, now im running the xperience rom which is a rom based on 4.4.2 kk.
the 4.3 android stock firmwares are linked somewhere in the FAQ's as well as the guide to ffastboot lash it.

For users who may have the same problem:
After flashing 4.3 onto the device it did NOT boot.
- However I then went into the bootloader flashed custom recovery, I used cwm.
- Then I went into recovery, used adb to push the rom and gapps onto sdcard
- Full wipe and then installed rom. Then installed gapps
Working fine.

My wife has a Sony xperia L which is still running Android 4.1.2 version. Now I rooted it with Root kit and tried flashing various Lollipop Roms like Cm12,primexperia and resurrection. But wifi does not work on all these Roms
I have tried almost every solution available on Xda.
I have used multiple custom recovery, N number of kernals and have flashed Boot.img and Thunderzap 4.16 from recovery after flashing the Roms. Still not luck.
Steps followed for flashing the Rom
1.Rooted with Rootkit and updated Supersu binary
2.Installed Busy box with Flashtool
3.Flashed a kernal (Tried TZ 4.14,4.7,4.8 Extended stock kernal and some more)
4. Booted to recovery ( Tried Cwm, TWRP, Philz)
5. Wipe data and all for clean installation
6. Flashed Rom zip (Cm12, Omni 4.4, Primexperia, Resurrection)
7. Flashed Gapps (As per the Rom)
8. Flashed Supersu zip to regain root access
9. Reboot to boot into new Rom
10. Wifi is not working so flashed boot.img from Rom via flashtool
11. Flash TZ 4.16 in recovery for cm12 ROMS.
Still wifi not working not sure what is the issue. It's working fine in Stock Rom.
Now I am upgrading to 4.2.2 via Sony update software.
Masters please help me out here. I can think of 2 solutions now.
1. First update to latest Sony official update (4.2.2) and then try again.
2. If there is any firmware file for stable lollipop version (with system.img, data.img and boot.img) which can be flashed using flashtool.

number 1. is correct the 4.1.2 software uses a really old modem that isnt compatible with LP based roms... The LATEST stockrom (...1.17 4.2.2) has the correct modem to make the wifi work

hey can you guys help me with installing a custom rom on my one. im fairly new at installing roms on HTC. very familiar with samsungs but anyways. my htc is rooted and s-off, i'm currently on 5.0.1 4.17.605.5.....ive tried to install a custom rom but after the installation is done it keeps going into a recovery loop....i used both twrp and cwm for recovery but both end up with a recovery loop...any ideas why this is occuring....also the rom i tried to install was skydragon and lolligpe

You could try extracting the boot.img from you custom rom, placing it in your adb folder, then flash the boot image all by itself with TWRP. That has pulled me out of bootloops....
Hi all, I'm on unlocked bootloader and I flashed the lastest 5.1.1 via flashtool on my D6603.
Now I need to install recovery to install the ROM that I'm interested in but after one try I installed it using this http://howtorootmobile.com/guide-install-twrp-recovery-sony-xperia-z3/ and after that the phone it's in a bootloop.... At least I managed to enter on the recovery and after that I flashed back the previus ROM that I have and now I reflashed lastest 5.1.1 via flashtool so can someone please guide me to install a recovery without having bootloops after doing so?

My bootloader is unlocked and is currently using Cyanogenmod's Recovery
I installed a multirecovery in my locked bootloader on stock frimware and formatted /system and /data. Installed CM 13 and Gapps
and unlocked my bootloader again so that i can use the custom rom.
Any help on installing a custom recovery ???
Never mind people I just installed twrp app and flashed it from there
