I compiled and flashed 7 times tonight alone trying to pick stuff in :victory:

I don't know if it is something I did but the rom gets stuck in boot after switching to ART runtime.
Edit: It was me . Re-flashed the rom and now ART is working
Reverted back to my old rom. This rom didn't have google play and 4g didn't work. I flashed nexus5 gapps which I always do in each rom.

4g is working for me. I flashed the rom, PA gapps , dkp kernel, supersu. So far it is fast and smooth.

Everything seems to be running great on day two so far. My only issue seems to be turning Halo off. Somehow I turned it on and now I don't seem to be able to turn it off. After I double tap and drag it I never get the option to remove it. I didn't find a turn off option in the settings. Maybe I am just to tired today to find it.

Installed this ROM yesterday and everything seems to be working just fine. The only issues I have with the ROM is the Calendar is unable to sync with google and it seems the volume (both ringing and while talking on the phone) is a little low. Both of this issues could be a deal breaker for me if there is no fix for either one.
I have had this issue on 1 other ROM so I don't know if it is limited to my phone or not.
Is anyone else having these same issues?
Thanks..
Tannerj

[ROM] Galnet MIUI ICS 4.0.1 *2.11.26* Updated *11/26/11*

Here is the latest MIUI ICS 4.0.1 from Galnet.
As stated in my previous MIUI Thread:
THIS ROM IS A BETA BUILD!!!(I will remove "BETA" when everything is working, Bluetooth, HDMI, etc..)
DO NOT PM ME OR JORDAN ABOUT ISSUES! I simply PORT what GALNET releases. YOU are the testers for this ROM. If you have issues just hope that the next release fixes them. If you know how to fix any of the issues feel free to let me know, and i will upload the fixed version.
IF THIS THREAD ENDS UP LIKE THE LAST MIUI IT WILL BE CLOSED
Rom Installation: (If you are just upgrading to the next release, skip.steps 3&4, if you are coming from a non miui rom I suggest following all of the steps.)
1. Place MIUI.zip on internal SD card
2. Reboot into CWM
3. Wipe data/factory reset
4. Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Flash MIUI.zip
If your phone doesn't boot:
1. Pull battery and put back in
2. Hold volume up, volume down, and power button
3. let go of power button as soon as you see samsung text
4. wait til blue cwm shows
5. Flash MIUI-Infuse-1.*.*.zip again
6. Enjoy!!
If you are on a previous MIUI build. (non Galnet) simply flash without wiping anything.
No need for the APN Fix thanks to bigafu Thanks buddy
RECOVERY FIX:
Originally Posted by LG_iiNsTiiNcT View Post

1: Download sgs kernel flasher
2: Download CWM community kernel
3: Flash kernel via sgs kernel flasher "unchecked the reboot button" when done flashing turn phone of "SHUTDOWN"
4: 3 finger until the Samsung logo pops up keep holding the buttons the screen will go black then Samsung logo will come up, let go of the power button and keep hold the volume up and down buttons "For about 20 seconds" then let go it should boot into Red CWM after a few seconds.
5: Go to install zip from SD card go all the way down and run update.zip it will boot back into RED CWM run update.zip again and it should now boot into GREEN CWM
6: From here Re-Flash MIUI "New Release would be smart", Wipe Fact,Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik, Flash, reboot at sign of Samsung logo pull battery, 3 finger into blue recovery and flash again.
7: Presto you should be set and have recovery back.
CHANGELOG:http://tinyurl.com/d6coyvp<------- VERY IMPORTANT!!!! READ!!!!!
If you have an issue with Blutooth, HDMI, Volume Rocker, ect DO NOT POST ABOUT IT! WE ALREADY KNOW!
BIG THANKS TO
My good buddy JordanElliot

Wait so is it truly android 4? Or no? If it is I'm jumpin ship from cm7 lol.
me too lol
Few quick questions:
1. Is this compatible with other radios? Is stock suggested?
2. Does this come with the stock ICS google apps?
3. Would flashing adrenaline.v13 work with the ICS build?
4. Is this voodoo enabled?

Fellas im going to bed. Find out any issues and i will do my best to try and fix them tomorrow. From the video i watched it seems that the status bar benu didnt change like it does on the i9000 and a few other small things, have to do some digging tomorrow.
Flashed and running great.
Any idea if any of the future ICS features will require a full kernel swap? Things like GPU acceleration and the like. Or will just having the framework already set up be enough?
Its nice...quick...I just can't tell any difference between this one or the gb version ....except it says 4.0.1 in about phone...works good tho...clean...thanks bro

anyone tried extended settings on this ?

Slim ICS has been pulled mods please lock thread

I have managed to port the Slim ICS 3.6 i9000 version to the Infuse!!!
***Taken from original thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488096***
Key features:
Fully built from AOSP sources with some cherry picks from CM and AOKP team,
Easy to customize features (thanks to AOKP team) via ASS (Advanced Slim Settings)
Common Base ROM - 60MB
Device Essentials - ~20MB
5 languages ( en, fr, de, it and es. No new languages will be added)
No GAPPS required, Gmail, Talk , Contacts and Calendar Sync already included, rest in removed addon zip file.
Zeam Launcher
Click to collapse
Other key features:
3.6 base and essential put into one CWM flashable zip making the flashing process that much simpler!
ONLY 80MB!!!!
What is working in this port?
-wifi
-music
-camera (8MP)
-ability to mount as mass storage device
-ASS...Advanced Slim Settings (as far as i know everything in that appears to be working except OTA update)
-???
What is not working?
-device settings in the setting app (those are setting specific to the galaxy s)
-NS tool in the settings app (to be honest dont even know what that is)
-anything that doesn't work in CM9
-???
This is my first port ever!!! so beware there may be bugs, but it seems really stable to me. Anything that doesnt work in entropy's CM9 will not work here because i used his CM9 to port this. You flash this at your own risk, allthough it is highly unlikely im not responsible for any damage caused to your phone, or your friends phone or anyones phone. however if you do encounter problems i will do my best to help you.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
Coming from previous ICS ROM:
1) download the rom
2) boot into CWM Recovery
3) mount system (not neccessary according to others but i do it anyways)
4) wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache
5) flash rom
6) reboot and enjoy
Coming from Gingerbread (double flash):
1) download rom
2) reboot to recovery
3) wipe data/factory rest, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache
4) flash rom
5) reboot
6) will get stuck at samsung logo or something
7) simutaniously hold power button, volume down, volume up until your phone reboots and you see the samsung logo - as soon as you see the samsung logo let go of buttons (but not your phone lol)
8) mount system
9) re-flash rom with no wipes
10) reboot and enjoy
if you get a colorful hard to read recovery it is because you dont have gingerbread bootloaders, the rom should not be effected by this but if you want to fix this problem then you need to flash gingerbread bootloaders
DOWNLOAD
I've been asked to take this port down by the original dev
NSTools Fix
(will add this to the full rom too, however until then flash this)(go under setting/about phone look at build number if it does not say 1.1 then you need this fix)
just flash...no wipes necessary
Removed
***Please report any bugs you find so i can add them to the list of not working***

NS Tools:
Manage your custom kernel with NSTools, you can easily manage tweaks without editing init script.
NSTools requires root for working properly. Currently its work on Nexus S with GLaDOS, Matr1x, franco, SG-kernel, Eugene, Trinity, Netarchy, Lucid, Air, Lynx, and others that include Ezekeel's patch, also works with some SGS kernel (Glitch v14).
Supported tweaks:
- BLD
- BLN
- BLX
- CPU Governor
- Custom Voltage
- Deepidle
- Liveoc
- Max/min scaling frequencies
- Touchwake
- CMLed
- IO Scheduler
- Fast charge toggle

Hey, I flashed the ROM and it booted up fine the first time. Then I went to recovery and flashed the Tablet UI add-on and cleared dalvik cache, but now it's stuck on the AOKP boot screen... And I don't know how to get to the recovery as Power + Volume up + Volume down doesn't work (when I choose "Recovery" it stays on the Google screen with the unlocked icon). The "Reboot Bootloader" and "Recovery" options are red while "Power Off" is in white and "Start" is in green. So is there any other way to boot into recovery? I am running TWRP 2.2 (latest).
Thanks!

HAZAH! Welcome Back! I see you guys thought it was all over:laugh: Well, let me give you a hint...the thread was discontinued - not the Rom:laugh: But why? Well, I was to continue my rage with the old theme and so on, but with you guys being starstruck with CM11, I decided to stop living in the past and come to the future. I mean, lets face it! CM10.1 is ancient in the highly fast paced developing world of android.
So I got with a few friends, and we turned Gimmeabreak into a full blast rom! We spent days figuring out how to get certain commits to work, and we're still doing it today! So far we only have a few things, but I think you'll enjoy them! And yes, this Rom is built from source and cooked (C'mon, everything can't be source).

We're not sure yet But do remember this is an alpha! We are currently working on getting Halo and some more things working with this. We will update almost every time we get something working or fixed, but do Remember, these are not and never will be Nightlies!!!

I did about 7 months ago but I restored to stock. Would I have to partition sd again?

I just took this rom over, i noticed the boot.img for a couple of the kernels could be an issue for some hboot versions. Do a custom install and select one of the underworld kernels and let me know what happens please. Make sure you wipe everything x3.

Got the same error also. Can't sign in to YouTube because of error. Also, when I reboot the auto sync does not stop. If I remember right it has to do with Facebook for HTC Sense. Also there seems to be a lot of lag. Loving these new-old roms and the dev collaboration. The OG hasn't gotten this much action in awhile

Thanks will try when I get off work.
Just tried the each of the different kernels I'm still getting lots of soft reboots. Can't figure out why

Try re-partioning your sd card. Back up things you want to keep first to your pc.

I will look into the error. Turn some of the FB syncs off and sync icon will go away.
Holy crap I remember running this back in the day when I didn't even have an XDA account.. lol. Glad to see this is alive again. Good work, Shag. :good: :good:
Still looking for a play services fix.
