[Q] Super Bowl live streaming [FOXSPORTS] need workaround - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Fox sports is streaming the Superbowl for free to iOS and android users via their website or mobile app. But since Verizon and the NFL have a special deal worked out through the NFL mobile package that charges I believe 5.99 a month to access, I will not be able to use their services to watch the Superbowl for free while I am at work. Is there any simple fix for this? I'm assuming fox identifies the network you are on somehow. I am running the latest cm11 nightly w/ktoonz.

?
Is this the appropriate area to post in? I read the rules and couldn't think of a better section.

It's the right section, but have no idea.
Try googling free mobile superbowl streaming and see what comes up.

you'd be surprised how much of a lock the NFL has on streaming their content without a license. They are litigiously aggressive. Finding a way around it or shelling out the 5.99 are the only options

You can probably stream it without an app. Foxsportsgo.com, just force your browser to use desktop view if it won't load.

Can anybody tell me how to use and torrent

Is that app for downloading stuff because I am trying to get the boondocks season 3 but I don't get how it works I was just wondering how to use it that's all
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
In before the lock because everyone here knows that you can NOT post instructions on how to pirate software/movies
LOL this topic.
just try it out. im sure you can find instructions on how torrents work online.
I downloaded it earlier and it looks like a PITA to download a torrent. Maybe better if you have 4G, but it sucks on 3G.

wouldnt it be instruction on the app and not necessarily how to pirate the actual movie/tv show??

Go to your torrent website and download the torrent, then open andtorrent and go into the menu and click add torrent. Go into your downloads folder and open the torrent file you downloaded from the website and start it.
Please do not torrent on the Sprint 3G or WiMax networks. It's because of people of you that we might end up losing unlimited bandwidth.
There are torrent apps for the EVO but somethings are best left to a PC. Thousands of connections every minute to every couple of seconds depending on how much you are downloading. Even on wifi is death on the battery and heats up the processor and wireless card and if its plugged in your whole phone warms right up and doubles as a space heater not to mention all the dropped connections and packet loss make it take longer than a computer would. Read/write speeds on the sd card are garbage for torrenting. I can name what is wrong with this all day. Do your self a favor get utorrent on your computer and call it a day. If you dont have internet on your pc tether and if you don't have a pc get insurance on your phone im not sure it will last very long if it keeps overheating.

It was never really unlimited I used 7 gigs last month and saw the monthly usage and there is a yellow line at 10GB and it says "PRO RATED CHARGE" which seems really stupid to me if its 10GB then call it 10GB not "unlimited". Also as far as I know 4G is not metered by Sprint so if on 4G its pretty much open season.

I can download torrents on 4g. I turn 4g on and peers and kb/s drop to 0. Am I missing something? Isn't there a mobile client (free) that will work around trackers?

That's odd, I'm at 39,638,495KB right now with 9 days left till the next billing cycle and I haven't had any issues like that. I moved recently and I'm waiting for Verizon to get here and install FIOS so I've been using the phone as my internet connection.
Its really a waste of time and hard on the processor.I thought it was cool at first but way to slow to for me.I use my home PC and get HD movies in 30 mins.

Market Link>>>https://market.android.com/details?id=com.twoergo.espn&feature=search_result
LOL's came in here to ask for the same thing. It looks like it is restricted to the UK. It is a free app so would be great if someone could upload it?
Or if someone could let me know how to get around the country restriction.

Guess we will find out this weekend...
Yeah first things first. Find a way to download is number 1 and we have done that
The help section states the following:
Will ESPN Goals work when I travel abroad?
If you are a subscriber and you are using the UK mobile phone connection that you used to subscribe to the ESPN Goals service, the application will be active when you travel abroad.

The app, watch espn has some games, but you need to be a subscriber of a company that supports it, like verizon. Also idk if this app is still on the market but justin tv player had a lot of games, ustream had a few. I have been using m.veetle.com lately tho. All of these have worked when i wanted to catch a game in class (;
Try them out, you need to have flash tho

Slickdeals.net official app coming up!!

Slickdeals.net is coming up with official apps for iphone, ipad and android. Im excited about the android app coz I've been following sd for quite some time now. It has saved me $$ on a number of occassions thru great deals. Their forum isnt tapatalk enabled. They have a mobile version of the forum but its not great. Hope the app has most if not all of the capabilities of the website.
Anyone else excited about it?

Same here. I track a few deal sites, then when I'm looking for a particular deal I use the Google Reader search and it'll hunt through all the deal site listing for me. Pretty sweet.
I'm interested to see how Slickdeals handles an app, search functionality would be a priority for me.

I tried that for few days but rss feed takes some time and was usually late for me. By the time it showed up in g reader, the deal was either gone or too many people have used the coupon making it useless. Is it the same for you?

Here it is

uTorrent for Android Phones!

uTorrent now has a full BitTorrent client for Android, so you can download torrents right to your phone no matter where you are.
Download from Google Play [Beta] : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.utorrent.client
Android 2.1 and above.
Should we consider Torrent as a download option now

Its a app, so goes in themes and apps. Please post in the correct section.
uTorrent are mostly used to download cracked apps, games, music and movies. Is this thread really legit for this site? I say no.

Torrents dont mean illegal activity, Its a way of sharing
The app itself is fine, Its what the users choose to use it for what can be illegal.
Even O_G didnt close it ! so it must be good :good:

Dude that's retarded.
An equally retarded statement:
Bank robbers use cars to escape. We should ban cars and make them illegal.

Don't use Google. You might find some shocking things there - if you're looking for it.
There are lots of legal ways to use torrents. μTorrent is a tool, just like Google.

I am NOTE amused.
I've been using tTorrent Pro. At the time I bought it, it was the best I could find. It works but could be better. I have not been able to find a good NZB client for Android either. I bought PowerNZB, it works, the 2 or three other ones I downloaded did not work. Most are for feeding your NZB client on your home server, I have a script and dropbox folder for doing that. If I do download media on my phone, I use PowerNzb more often then torrents.

Well, uTorrent is just a sharing application. If you want, you can download similar application with any other downloader tool. The application itself is not corrupted. It's the people who use this in wrong way.
** uTorrent is sometimes better for downloading. :good:
I also tried the µTorrent and BitTorrent apps some weeks ago. But I have to say, that they are sometimes unstable.
The design is not the best, but reason for that could also be the big screen of the note ^.^
My favourite torrent client is "Swarm". It's stable, simple design, light-weight and works fine with all extras we know from the desktop client.
Better try this.
Hey so I torrented an item, and than went to locate it on my gs3 and now I can't find it. I've went through rooted processes to find the app and see if it downloaded within the folder there but not to be found.
I haven't deleted it...it still shows its on my phone.
Can anyone reccomend any solutions? I haven't changed any settings on my utorrent app on my phone.
Try to download another item and it will notify you before it starts to confirm the folder to store in . . Then you will know where the first item is stored . Hope it helps.

Tested, not bad but it would be perfect if I could connect to my uTorrent windows client using the app going through my wireless network. I know there are remote feature but they are in the cloud or using a web browser (to connect directly to the torrent client)

Many comminiyies in the us offer free wifi in some areas. I dont live in those areas, even so its easy enough to get free wifi in most businesses
Everyone these days is looking for a free ride...walk your happy ass to a coffee shop that offers WiFi... Otherwise get a job and pay for data, OR apply for a government program that'll cost only the tax payers money...there's no such thing as a free lunch...
