Whenever I boot to recovery my Canvas 2 factory resets instead I tried many times and it still factory reset my android.
How to solve it? Please help.
I'm using Cwm recovery

bro ur recovery is curupted now.
u hav to install stock rom all over again and den install recovery again..
let me know if u hav any other ques..

Bro @banmancity, atul1112 is right..
do not flash your downloaded recovery? please redownload new fresh recovery from web & flash it or download & flash twrp recovery....

i happened to me several times tho..
and for this u just need to flash the STOCK ROM from SP flash tool. not from recovery.
and after flashing it. root ur phone again n den flash the FRESH recovery.
n u r dne.. gud luck.

I hv checked flashing the recovery.img which I took out fro. My stock backup but when it get flashed nd I boot into recovery nothing changed nd cwm 6 remains there

i installed inspuration room
then decided to flash a CM 10
i choosed option " recover " from rebot menu
then did a factory reset and flashed the cm rom
when i reboot my device its getting booting into the recovery mod !
i checked previous threads about the problem but with no positive results
i don't know what is the problem please help me out

Its a boot loop. Do you have latest version of recovery installed? I will prefer TWRP v3.

why don't you use TWRP. Its better.

just flash the twrp recovery as you flash your stock rom
go in download mode
connect to pc
start odin
select pda
choose twrp recovery and you are done

the "md5" file that i downloaded doesn't appear in the list when i choose the folder that i copied the file in earlier
i tried to zipped it but it came with " installation aborted "

remove .md5 or may be you are searching it in wrong folder
put the twrp on desktop and then open odin and chose from desktop
its not that difficult

how could you flash tar file in cwm ????
we are trying to change cwm recovery to twrp recovery
are you getting this ???
in twrp recovery there is no such problem as bootloop etc
so just flash twrp through odin
and then flash whatever you want to flash through twrp

If you already installed it from odin then forget, otherwise if you want to install TWRP from CWM. I can help you to make flash able zip. And it will work also. Because I did it so many times.
I m unable to go to CWM recovery mode after installing bumble bee v3 rom.
When i go to recovery option rom will get install again.
Can some one help me how to fix this.
even after the Holo Reboot recovery option screen went black installed the rom again

Install Holo Reboot and try the Reboot to Recovery option..

Even after the Holo reboot recovery option issue is not solved.

you probably have a corrupted recovery.....i'd suggest that you reflash the recovery via SP Flash.
Try to flash the cwm recovery.img via mobile uncle tool frm play store.. :thumbup:

Permanent solution
I believe you factory reset the phone via 'Settings' and not via CWM.
First flash stock recovery through mtk tools
Go into recovery mode and see if the stock recovery comes.
If it appears ...Restart the phone and flash latest recovery.
I'm using CWM recovery on my Canvas 2. I did a factory reset and after that I can't boot into recovery anymore. When I boot into recovery it factory reset again and again please help

Hi there...
When i try to reset my device from settings/backup & reset it does nothing...the phone doesnt reset...
I have flashed Philz recovery aubalism... And tried to flash custom rom lollicop but couldnt...the phone was soft bricked... So i downloaded the full official firmware from sammobile and flashed it via Odin... So the phone started working... But now when i tried to reset the phone i cant... Philz recovery is still there... When i try to go to recovery the philz recovery starts... Plz help me guyz... I want my phone in original condition (as it was like a new one )...
Hiw can i do that... Its urgent plz help someone...

Yes... The fon was as it is even after Flashing stock rom... Again...
But on the second try i wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache after flashing stock rom... And it was done... "So the key was to wipe from Android Default recovery..." Now my fon is just like it has come from the original box...

I think it should be clearly said that one has to wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache after flashing stock rom... The tutorial videos only show upto flashing stock rom... No one says that if u dnt wipe after flashing, its worthless...
