some time my phone working fine and some time touch is not working or auto touch starts, Then I locked my phone and then unlock it and finally it starts working.
Is there hardware issue in my phone, As I reset the phone still facing similar touch issue??
Thanks
Chandan

charging
touch issue is mostly caused while charging. if u r using an over voltage charger, then touch issue arrives.
Same Issue With Mine Device Too
I think this is a hardware problem because for this issue the service center replaced 4 Touch Panels of my device but still I witness this issue sometimes while the charging the device.
I'm also face this problem...
This arrives only the time of charging otherwise it's not happen in my handset.

Im running Glorious Overdose V2 but I had this issue with other roms as well for some reason my touchscreen sometimes doesnt respond. In order for it to start working again I have to lock and unlock my phone sometimes it happens frequently and other times it doesnt. Any tips on how to fix this issue?
Sorry no tips on how to fix, but I'm running stock and it happens to me too. I though it might have to do with my crappy screen protector or me somehow messing with the optical trackball, but it seems not since you're experiencing the same issue.

I have this issue, too...
...can confirm it happens on stock and custom roms.

This app worked awesome on my sensation. Give it a try and report back please? I set to performance.

Nope
I tried the app and it didn't help at all and sometimes my phone also starts randomly selecting as if I touched it.
Its a hardware problem. Samsung claims its a software problem but I doubt it. It happens to me all the time and I've posted threads about it as well.
What I have found is that any sweat or liquid on your fingers that gets left behind on the screen causes it to act sporadically. All you can do is constantly clean your screen when the phone is locked.

i have this problem, but i have noticed its only after iv gotten my hands wet. i kinda figured it was 1$ screen protector.
My screen would do the same thing until i bought one of the sk screen protectors. Haven't had that problem since.
lyk the title say ma soft buttons have stoped working but the rest of the touch screen is working fine i thought it mite be a rom issue but ive flashed a couple of roms with clean installs and the problem is stil there
Is there any fix??

I guess its a hardware problem, so accordingly I think you'll have to get it repaired from a service center.
But still you can't be sure as I am kinda new to all this !

I think if the issue repeats on a number of ROMs this isn't the soft problem, should try service center.
I also think it's a hardware error.
My first Desire S also got an hardware error: It would'nt load and gave no response when plugging in an usb cable. Use your warranty and all your troubles will be gone!
... of course after flashing a stock rom i might add
Cheers people repair centre it is

Anyone had dead spots on their HOS?
On two different occasions, the screen stops working directly above the Homebutton and a reboot solves the problem..
But since it happened 2 time now, is my digitizer damaged or something?
Similar problem
I seem to have a similar problem where I get random dead spots on the screen. The problem happens more frequently with me with AOSP ROMs. Also, turning the screen on and off usually fixes it for me. I may have a bad digitizer, I'm not sure though.
I've had the same issue couple of times a while back.
edit
can't remember, but it might've been while using cm10 (only had it on for a few days).
Try downloading dead pixel fix from market it is really good fixing dead pixel
Download run the app and leave or phone for at least 6 hour with app running at maximum brightness

Sorry, I didn't mean dead pixels, I meant the touch gets dead..something with the digitizer...
Dude I had a post about this before like i have to turn my screen off a lot cause it won't register my space bars during a text or the letter t and its really annoying but turning the screen off and on fixes it

I been having a similar issue usually made the center of the screen around the t y u Button's on the keyboard.
Started roughly after running cm10 might be a coincidence though

Try wiping off the screen and turning the phone off and on.
The first might help if it's a humidity issue, the 2nd might help if it's a grounding or static issue.
I don't have these issues but is it related to this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679649
Touch Button Issue HTC One S
It's pretty much the opposite of that issue to the point where il be trying to get in the menu and my touch on the menu key doesn't do anything till I turn my screen off and on cause the bottom part of the screen is unresponsive... And I'm on stock no root

This!! I always have to do this once in awhile.
This only happens in aosp roms (dont know yed on aokp). It used to happen to me sometimes on cm10 but now I´ve been for a while on sense roms and didn´t happen anytime.
i agree with the above, ive only had this issue on cm10
I run into the same problem sometimes. It's most noticeable when using the keyboard but I've had it happen on another part of the screen. Like others have said turning off the screen then turning it back on always worked to fix it.
I was having this issue in CM9... Once I reverted back to Trickdroid 7.1, this issue no longer happens. So it sounds to me like it's related to the driver in CM9... I suspect that if I switch to CM10, the issue will still be there.

Try using the qwerty kernel, with this kernel you can adjust the touch sensitivity

My nexus 5 screen is not responding in certain areas. It has started from today.
It hasn't been a year and the phone was functioning well until today.
There is no such water damage and neither the phone had ever fallen.
And the bigger problem is that , I have set screen lock pattern which makes it even more difficult to unlock.
What should I do ?
Need help .
Is the same area of the screen an issue when you boot into recovery or fastboot? If so it's a hardware issue and you should rma.

Yeah the same area is causing problem.
And sometimes random patterns are automatically generated without touching the screen & even emergency call is done .
