In order to download my data from my Smartwatch to the Phone, I need to get on the wireless to upload data from Watch to Cloud and then from Cloud to Phone. Since my phone is already connected to my phone via bluetooth, can I just transfer the data that way?
I am also open to write my own app, but I can't find any APIs that can help me with that.

Hi,
How can I update my Marketplace apps via USB/Zune. Everytime I click on Marketplace with the USB/Zune connected, it says sync complete please disconnect.
Also when I am connected via USB to my PC, does the phone use the PC's internet connection?
Thanks

Why not just update them on the phone? Use WiFi if they are big and/or your data plan is very limited, but no need to do it on the PC...
Access to the WP7 Marketplace was removed from the PC Zune software (it's possible to get it back, but something of a hack). However, the phone does still lock the full media library, which is integrated with the Marketplace, while connected.
If you really want to connect the phone to the PC (which does use the PC's Internet connection, so long as it's actually connected and not merely charging), but also want the media library unlocked, there's a tool called ConnectWP.exe that is just for that. You have to sync with Zune first. Look up online to see how to use it.
I agree, they won't allow Zune to access the Marketplace or WP apps.
You can update using WIFI/Data or if you hook your phone to your computer and exit out of Zune after it starts you should be able to access the internet on your phone. I love that feature!
thanks, how can you tell that it is using the PC internet connection when connected via USB?

Disable WiFi and mobile data and try
there should be a symbol to show it is using the PC connection:silly:
I pair with a mobile device under one user account and I am able to transfer files.
I change user account and I can NO longer transfer files to device, unless I set up the pairing in this account. But if I do that then, I am not able to transfer files in the first account...
Obviously In the mobile device I cannot set up my pc twice, the pc name is what the dongle broadcasts...
Any advice?
Thanks

Team Viewer
Install on pc and phone
Log in play music.
No usb just need data 3g/lte or wifi and pc must be on the internet.
You don't have to be connect to the same network just username and password will give you remote access to your pc and you can play music through you phone from your pc.
Hi All,
Did anyone see and app that I could run on my Android phone that would let me map it's storage as Network drive on my PC?
It would need to be an app that I can run as service or the least app stays on even when in background until I switch it off so I could link it to my profiles.
All I want to get is to be able to enter home, connect to home WiFi, start my PC and have Android storage as one of the drives there. That way I can charge the phone and still be able to transfer files in and out.
If you are rooted:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=berserker.android.apps.sambadroid
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.funkyfresh.samba
Thx,
Will give them a try. Hopefully Tasker can control them properly.
Or you could use ES file explorer and enable your phone storage as FTP. if you are rooted, you even get access to the "/" folder.
I've been using freefilesync to keep my phone's music library synced properly with my computer. Currently using an S7 (Verizon) with 6.0.1.
Is there a way to connect my phone wirelessly (either through my home network Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct) to my Windows 7 PC via MTP (Since apparently USB Mass Storage is now not an option at all)??
Or do I have to use the USB cable to get MTP functionality. I've used Airdroid and some server app but they don't give MTP and the ability to sync, they do give the ability to transfer files but that's not what I'm looking for, plus you can do that via ES File Explorer in a much simpler way.
I truly want my PC to read my phone's contents and only update what's missing or newer, I don't want to have to "search" my phone myself and manually copy/transfer files.
thanks for any help.
