[Q] How to remove China Unicom bloatware and Google Play Store block - General Questions and Answers

I recently bought a new phone, which is the Samsung Galaxy Fame Duos GT-S6812i. I'm the kind of person to actually play with his smartphone, so I tried updating my version. But updating my phone resulted in having a Chinese version (the only update) from China Unicom. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of chinese apps. I rooted my phone and I was able to remove most of them, but I just CAN NOT use Google Play.
Can anyone help me out removing the block
P.S: I also wish to have the China Unicom boot animation removed and the official Samsung boot animation back

just flash stock firmware using odin....

hi,
for restalling original bootanimation use this xda thread..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063280
or you can change with this method...
"hongkiat.com/blog/change-android-boot-animation/"
or use thsi application from play store "Boot Animations ★ root"
---rkk

I had something like this from Japan. Problem is that unless there is a full root and unlock you are stuck with the rom. You can get full or soft root and use TB to freeze some apps and see what remains stable. You probably won't be able to freeze or uninstall all of the apps.

[Q] [Help] Lenovo S860 - there is no Play store after update

Hello,
I am new to this stuff, never done anything like rooting.
I used Nexus 4 for some time, with original system, and KitKat 4.4.2.
Now I decided to change the phone because I needed a phone with 2 SIM card slots, and good battery, so I ordered Lenovo S860.
It came with some Chinese applications installed, but everything was all right.
Yesterday I got the notification that there is an update for the system, so I updated.
Now I have different GUI, and there is no Google Play at all, just some Chinese applications and some Lenovo app store, which is in Chinese so I can't understand a thing
Can anyone help me with this issue, please? I would be so grateful

[Q] Google Play in Samsung Galaxy Fame GT-S6812c from CHINA - Who can help me?

Hello...
I live in Brasil and I bought a mobil Samsung Galaxy Fame GT-S6812c (IT'S ORIGINAL), but I don't knew that Google Play don't work there, cause the rules of the China.
I'm very crazy cause I'm trying install the Google Play since yesterday, but without success.
I did a root with Kingo Android ROOT and I followed this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=google%20play%20chines.
It almost works. Opens the screen to enter the Google account, but it keeps opening a message every 10 seconds saying that the system has stopped unexpectedly. And the login does not end. Loading sits for hours and not finish.
I saw a different way of doing Root. With something called Recovery, but has a specific to each phone and I did not find it suitable for my style.
Someone who can help me?
Please!

very strange that why you got a Chinese edition of s6812c but you live in Brasil.
It seems that this phone is very old , I mean it released a long time ago and have a entry level cpu/ram/screen. I don't which version of android you flashed it ? For different android version, google mobile service is also different , please check whether you flashed the correct version of google mobile service .

Galaxy C7 (SM-C7000)

My friend got this from China and you can't install any Google apps on it and you can't even add a Google account. It's completely locked down.
Anyone know how to install custom recovery and ROM on this thing? I can't seem to even find a way to root it.
Thanks for any help.
You can install the Hong Kong Firmware and then you can use all the Google Apps. Root is avaiable, only found on chinese boards. The problem is, that you must pay for it via Alipay. At the moment no chance without an chinese bank account.

Thanks I'll look into it.
OH??! Can you just install a different version on the phone? I was looking into installing a better custom ROM onto a Hongkong version (the long code C7000ZHU2AQF2) and was downloading the firmware for C7000ZHU2AQF2 (just in case I need to go back to the original version), and was wondering if you could, say, install C7000ZHS2AQC2 or C7000ZHU1APG3 instead. Is this possible? Did you mean this? Or did I get this wrong?

[REQUEST] Nokia 7 TA-1041 Official Firmware

My partner from Chinese 7to forum had made TWRP adaption for Nokia 5, 6 and 8. Now it's time to find out how to install custom recovery and root Nokia 7.
To achieve that, I need the official firmware of Nokia 7 TA-1041.
That's it. It will benefit a lot for both XDA and Chinese Android communities.
Current version is 00CN_0_64C I think.
Thanks a lot!
UPDATE: I got the Nokia 7 firmware, filename is C1N-0430-0-00CN-B05.rar. But I won't release it until @blackpanther0582 or @Quixote78 got Nokia 2 and 7 firmware.
UPDATE IN Mar 12th 2018 (UTC+8): I released this firmware. You can find it from https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7/development/nokia-7-stock-firmware-t3762166
Can you help me with this firmware bro

I got this firmware from local Nokia Service center where I sent a bricked Nokia 6 to them.
To protect the employee who gave me the firmware, I won't release it immediately.

That's sweet of you. I've just got my Nokia 7 and I might just brick it while playing with it. So, can I at least stay assured that if something wrong happens, you'll privately provide me with the firmware? ?
Phone won't boot
Some help would be fantastic and greatly appreciated. I received the phone brand new just yesterday and have turned it on to set it up but it will not go past the "Powered by Android" screen. I have tried so many times to enter reset menu to factory restore it but it is not possible. I think my only option left is to somehow flash the phone with the original firmware but as I've never used a newer Nokia before, I am unsure of that too. I contacted Nokia online support who refuse to help me because the phone is exclusive to China and I am based in Australia. I feel like I have been scammed with a brand new phone that I can not use.
asking for rom to unbrick Nokia TA 1041
Hello everyone.
I would like to know if you have the rom and firmware of TA 1041 CCN 4GB ram.
I bought it on AliExpress.
After 2 hours of using it , it stopped booting normally.
The phone stays on the Nokia screen.
I cannot turn it off!
When trying to hook it to the PC , the Android driver is there , but their no device detected!
I wonder if some part of the boot chips are dead?
Can someone help him please?
Best regards

The same problem with "Powered by Android", only I'm from Belarus. Waiting for an answer from support.
Any update on this?
Got this phone recently from china (as it is unavailable yet in my country), its great but has a ton of software issues: setup screen constantly freezing, google play fires errors faster then a tommy gun, widgets and apps crashing, etc...
Really would like to be able to flash a clean rom.
Cheers!
I sent my phone back and going to claim a refund. I really want the phone because it has the specs that I want, the size that I want, the build quality that I want, and the look that I want. But it seems there is a software issue that means it doesn't function correctly out of China.

I have the same problem as you, the phone hangs on download mode after I reboot or power down consecutively 5 to 6 times after flashing the rom.
I cannot force flash the ROM, with OST LA, it hangs on "hwcfg" (C1N-0-0430-hwcfg.img) after 117 seconds of attempting to flash.
Google Play Store has been flashed in the original firmware, it is buggy as it doesnt update any application.
I think google applications are causing the phone to hang out and to bug.
I cannot seem to find a clean rom for this phone!

My biggest problem is updating/installing apps, as you said. I'm getting error 404 and no solutions from webs fix it. A funny related issue is that the phone is not showing up in the web version of Google Play (when you do a remote install). At least I think these issues are related.
Did you experience anything similar?

Yes I have experienced the same thing.
I have asked the reseller on Aliexpress for the original firmware.
I am waiting for his answer ...
What concerns me , I cannot find ANY ROM available for this Nokia 7 and the bootloader is locked and cannot be unlocked on fastboot.
I hope one day a developer on xda could give us a clean ROM+GAPPS, with a TWRP recovery.
Support for the firmware is not responding. The theme on community.phones.nokia.com/support/discussions constantly removes.
Any update?
Mine got stuck in "Powered by Android"

G9300 Dual SIM Snapdragon S7, best stock firmware for UK use?

I have a SM-G9300, which is a Chinese dual SIM model of S7, with a Snapdragon chipset. It's in excellent condition, with the box and charger, so I'm selling it.
I'm just wondering if there's stock firmware for it that will make it more sellable in the UK, that doesn't have a bunch of bundled apps intended for the Chinese market on it.
Is it the same board that's in American or other English speaking Snapdragon models?
If so, will both SIM slots still be recognised if I were to flash American firmware?
Or is there a dual SIM, Snapdragon S7 that was made for an English speaking market, that I could use the firmware from?
Back in 2017, a guy posted asking about the same, he found multiple answers that I find helpful.
Check his post.
Since there's an official TWRP available for Snapdragon devices, I believe there's hope for you, even though not a lot of custom ROMs exist for your variant.
There are ideas you could try, present in the post, but don't forget the warning of flashing other model's firmware, and what could happen to your phone.
Thanks. I hadn't even noticed this thing didn't have the play store on it! The thing is, it does have google play services and google play services updater on it? is that normal?

No, and yes.
Chinese variants don't implement Google Services, just like the modern Huawei devices wasn't allowed to.
Maybe someone tried to install the Google Services packages, similar to what is done on modern Huawei phones, I can't tell you further.
But there's an Oreo Galaxy S9 ROM available for your device, of which will make your device look like an international S7.

Thanks. The firmware that's on it is 100% official, downloaded via frija and flashed with odin. I had a look at the changelog for the official firmware, and it actually does mention that some new Google features had been added to it.
So there's Google services, Google Play Services updater, and a Google section in the settings menu, but no Play store and no Google apps in any of the menus. Google drive PDF viewer does show up in the list of installed apps in the settings menu though. Makes me wonder that there might actually be a way to install the Play Store without custom recovery, that maybe wasn't possible on previous versions of the official firmware.
For now, I have unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP. I was hoping not have to root it, but it still wouldn't boot after flashing the DM-verity package, so I flashed Magisk and it booted.
I will check out the Oreo ROM for it, thanks. Do you have a link?
I just found out that all I needed to do to get the Google Play store on it was to install the APK file!
As of more recent firmware updates, Samsung have been releasing the firmware for Chinese models with all the underlying Google Services architecture in there already, just without the Play store. Literally just needs the Play store APK.
Been messing around all day trying to flash the Hong Kong CSC file on this thing, cos I really wanted it unrooted for selling it. Stumbled across the Google installer for Chinese smartphones. Tried that, and it was failing on installing Serviced Framework. Turned out that it was failing because a more up to date version of Services Framework was already installed, and all I needed was the Play Store APK from APKmirror.
