Could someone write a guide how to roll back to Stock ROM for HTC Desire 500 ?
The rom's are posted for single and dual sim, but no guide how to rollback / install those rom's.

"Resolved" HTC Desire 500 - How to roll back to STOCK-firmware
here is a tutorial to go back to a stock rom , it's work for me
If someone wanted to have updates on your HTC , and do not work with a modified recovery , here is how to replace the normal recovery and how to lock the bootloader again .
1 grab a pack
For Dual Simhttps .dropbox.com/s/g0lfv7bmoh...g_Recovery.rar
and unpack to a directory eg c :/ android or for One Sim .dropbox.com/s/80x1awvlq2a3w55/recovery.img (thanks pasiasia )
2 Please note that the drivers were installed and the phone was switched on usb debugging .
3 Pull out the battery and put in the time and turn while holding turn down .
4 Plug the phone into the USB and select Bootup .
5 Depending on the system being used by looking console ( cmd) and be sure to have or give administrator privileges (on Windows 7)
6 In the console , type:
c:
cd android
7 After entering the directory , type : fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
8 If the messages appeared to have made everything with no errors , move on
9 Locking the bootloader can be done using the command: fastboot oem lock
After that will restart and recovery we have restored and locked bootloader .
For me it worked , but I do not take responsibility for it , and you do so at your own risk. After that I made an update to version 1.13.401.2 OTA .
it's from hungrian forum
Thank you
the link for dual sim is not working, pls check it out. Thank you

I'll try to help:
1. download the ROM from here:
http[:][doubleslash]alex.swtesting.ro[slash]downloads[slash]ruu_chacha_htc_asia_wwe_1.57.707.2_radio_47.23.35.3033h_7.51.35.19_release_228383_signed[dot]zip
2. extract and copy the system.img to the same directory as your fastboot tools
3. enter the fastboot mode by pressing volume down + power button after the device has been turned off.
4. choose fastboot by pressing power button, and then connect your phone to your PC
5. using fastboot tools, run this command on cmd: "fastboot flash system system.img"
6. run factory reset on your phone fastboot menu...
wait until reboot, and in my case: voila, it brings all the apps back
does this support arabic? oh and can you identify which apk is responsible for the world countries when you try choose a location for worldwide clock? cause i deleted that it seems and have no idea which one it was. and if you know which one it is, if there's a link for it or if the link above, contains it.thanks

does your boot loader have the tag **unlocked** ? only if it has unlocked tag you can install using fastboot else you get the error. unlock your bootloader, flash the zip/image, once done relock the bootloader if you need.
to unlock the bootloader using htcdev.. i need to update the software to 1.57.. and i am getting signature error ehile doing so using the patch provided earlier in the thread

Yes you need to update your boot loader. Download the RUU from HTCDev. run the ruu and check for the rom.zip file in temp folder. rename the rom.zip to PH06IMG.zip and update the zip file through bootloader(power + volume key method). Then your bootloader will be updated. Revert if any errors.
Dont use the patch, try the official version. It will work.
Hi hrishikol ,
i did a deodex to my phone app and now the chacha is stuck at the HTC logo,
can you please give me ideas on how to solve this problem?
i have installed CWM,in order to flush a ROM ,
but it is not functioning properly
The Guides above are incomplete ( missing a few steps ) and will result in boot loop most of the time. the correct procedure is :
Part 1 : Setting up Fastboot.
1. Make sure you have java installed, if not get it from here : http://java.com/ and install it.
2. Download the Android SDK manager from here : http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html ( get the exe download )
3. Install SDK manager, then run the android SDK manager.
4. Once launched it will show you available updates, choose ONLY these two "Android SDK Platform Tools and Android SDK Tools" and update them.
5. After update is complete close the sdk manager and go to the SDK manager platform-tools folder, normal path is : ( C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools )
6. Copy the following 3 files from this folder : "adb.exe" , "AdbWinApi.dll" and "fastboot.exe"
7. go to your c drive ( c:\ ) and make a new directory called "fastboottools"
8. copy the 3 files above into your fastboottools folder.
9. so now your should have a folder like this : "c:\Fastboottools" with the following 3 files in it "adb.exe" , "AdbWinApi.dll" and "fastboot.exe".

2. Extract and copy the system.img AND boot.img to the same directory as your fastboot tools "C:/fastboottools" ( make sure to copy both files )
3. Enter the fastboot mode on your phone by pressing volume down + power button after the device has been turned off.
4. Choose fastboot on the phone by pressing power button, and then connect your phone to your PC
5. Using fastboot tools, open the Command prompt and navigate to "C:\fastboottools" then run this command on cmd: "fastboot flash system system.img"
6. Dont reboot, Using fastboot tools, run this command on cmd: "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
( The two commands in step 5 and 6 are different, make sure to type each one correctly and to do them straight after each other )
7. Reboot phone. let it boot up, you will still get bootloop or error message.
8. Take out the battery.
9. Boot back into bootloader ( Volume down + power ).
10. Now choose recovery.
11. Phone should now reboot itself and bam, all should now work fine.

Hello All,
First of All before beginning with anything,
I OR ANYONE THAT I HAVE MENTIONED IN THIS TRHEAD ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEVICE BRICKING DURING THIS GUIDE, YOU ARE DOING THIS ON YOU OWN WISH AND MUST HOLD THE WHOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR ACTIONS
I AM NOT A DEVLEOPER AND DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO BE A ONE ( although i would love to be one )
AND HENCE I CANNOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS UNLESS I KNOW ITS ANSWERS
FOR THE TIME BEING THERE IS NO CERTAIN METHOD TO GET OTAs BACK
SO IF YOU CANNOT GO THE S-OFF WAY AND HAVE WARRANTY ISSUES, AFRAID OF BRICKING , ETC
THEN ROOTING CAN COST YOU TO LOOSE OTA FOR A GOOD TIME
My region ( 708 ) still donot have the stock recovery released and hence i couldn't test
Second , This guide is just a collection of others people work and assistance so the effort is not really mine
I would like to thanks @tbalden and @karlanal as without them i wouldn't be able to root my device
Let the Fun begins and let's know what you need first :
1- Working Adb and fastboot in your pc ( from this thread >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979 )
2- HTC drivers ( There is one in the sync manager drive in "My computer" when you insert the usb cable )
This one worked for me just fine but if it didn't, you should download the whole htc sync manager which contains all the needed drivers ( as said by other users through searching in the web generally )
3- CMD >> Working command prompt in your windows
4- SuperSu Zip file which will be flashed through TWRP >>>> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5DGpxyjpIhkLTdFQkdXUzFKSU0/view?usp=sharing
5- TWRP for Our One ME >>>> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5DGpxyjpIhkY2VGZzhNUU95dFU/view?usp=sharing
6- Ofcourse a working Usb cable
STEPS to ROOT starting from Locked Bootloader device :
SAME as the following thread made by tbalden exactly except replacing the TWRP with our own which is already above at the 5th point
MUST READ ALL THE HINTS AND TIPS IN THE INTIAL TOPIC OF THE THREAD AS WE ARE AFFECTED SAME AS THEY ARE
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/one-m9-general/howto-rooting-m9-m9pw-htchiaumltuhl-t3116327
STEPS to get back to Stock so we can get OTA :
First method : Same as the One for M9+ >>> ALTHOUGH SEEMS NOT TO WORK BECAUSE WHEN WE INTITALLY FLASH TWRP IT MOUNTS THE SYSTEM AS RW WHICH BREAKS A CERTAIN CODE ( SHA1 )THAT OTA CHECKS FOR IT BEOFRE FLASHING THE OTA
1- Flash Stock recovery of your region AND your current firmware >>> From this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...u-htc-one-m9ew-ruus-hboot-zips-t3211628/page1 )
2- Restore UNTOUCHED system Partition ( That you intially take a Backup for it just after flashing TWRP )
Second method : which will include S-OFF and flashing a whole diffrent Firwmare
( This was mention by Karlanal and i didn't test it yet )
1- S-OFF via sunshine app ( have to pay ant not free )
2-Make supercid via fastboot command
3-After that you can install one of those two firmwares in the RUU thread that we currently have (either asia india or china)
For the Post of this procedure from Karlanal ( I believe he wouldn't mind that i am sharing this )
I REPEAT, HE DOESNOT HOLD ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY FLASHING ISSUES
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63041916&postcount=32
Hope you all have the best rooted device and happy flashing
Awesome mate... keep updating anything new!

Amazing thread
if anyone tries the described method and/or something isnt described good please do tell me and we will sort it out
ill install the chinese edition and write everything up again in a step by step if needed
so with these files and s-off you have OTA-s back, so much i can guarantee
i do sounda little bit like an sunshine sales guy, dont i
Thank you so much for this guide. I spend a couple of hours trying to do it by my own before you collect all those information together.
Now I'm root and everything is working as it should be. Just waiting for the 708 RUU to get back to stock recovery for OTA, unless a good custom rom appears

open the folder, now press shift and hold, right click with the mouse somewhere in that folder an choose "open command window here"
now a cmd window appears
now you go into download mode on your htc and connect it with your pc
then issue the following command
fastboot getvar all
you should get your cid number
then issue
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
and that is it, you can reboot and you are supercid

Problem with unlocking bootloader
Hi all!
I have HTC One ME Dual Sim. Before rooting procedure I need to unlock bootloader in my device. At page on oficial HTC site - I tried to pass all steps, but I stoped already at second step. I tried to choose: All Other Supported Models and also tried to use HTC M9+ - but anyway I did not find in my device same option in menue, as shown in second step of instruction.
At second step you will bee asked to go into FASTBOOT mode. But it is not presend in my device! I aslo tried to use recomendation as for HTC M9+ - also: no same point in menue for this device in Instruction.
If I choosed to reboot to bootloader - I also can't get FASTBOOT menue!
So, - my question is: how to get into FASTBOOT menue in HTC One ME Dual Sim and in HTC M9+ for passing trough into 3 Step of Instruction? May be exist another way to unlock bootloader for my device, because it is not contain FASTBOOT option in menue.
Thanks!

Found a problem with the launching Recowery mode
1. At first was successfully unlocked bootloader.
2. By using the program fastboot - was was successfully flashed recowery TWRP (from Top of this topic) into device.
But after trying to login into Recowery mode by long pressing Power + Vol Down - I can't get into recowery menueб because it is not exist in list.
Only:
system info
show barcode
reboot to bootloader
reboot to download mode
reboot
power down
And that's it. But at end of screen appears this inscription:
Security checking failed NOT_FIND_SMART_IO
SD NOT MOUNTED
If I trying to start up with long pressing Power + Vol Up - also just appear the same list without recowery mode option. But at end of screen I can see message:
Detecting smart card...
Reboot to ftm mode failed due to NOT_FIND_SMART_IO
But if to start device after rebooting into normal mode - there is not any problem with SD-card (internal). Device working good.
Please help - how to get into recowery mode?

Hope you all have the best rooted device and happy flashing

to restore UNTOUCHED system Partition you can copy the zip file from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/one-m9-general/ruu-htc-one-m9ew-ruus-hboot-zips-t3211628 and rename to 0PLAIMG.zip, put on sdcard, restart in bootloader, and do the update. . it will install the original recovery.
working on S-ON, even with UNLOCK.
pls help me ...did u get solution??

Hello All,
First of All before beginning with anything,
I OR ANYONE THAT I HAVE MENTIONED IN THIS TRHEAD ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEVICE BRICKING DURING THIS GUIDE, YOU ARE DOING THIS ON YOU OWN WISH AND MUST HOLD THE WHOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR ACTIONS

[GUIDE][HUAWEI]Flash Any Variant & Version of Firmware on Hisilicon Kirin Chip Phones
DESCRIPTION:
Okay Guyz... Today am here with tutorial which you guyz ask for... i.e Flashing any variant or Rom Version of SAME PHONE. You can do this on phones like Honor 4C, Honor 4X, Honor 5C, Honor 5X, Honor 7, Honor 8, Mate 8, P9, P9 Lite and many other with Hisilicon Kirin Chipset
DONT EVER TRY CROSS ROMS i.e ROM OF ONE PHONE ON OTHER PHONE MODEL.
DISCLAIMER:
I will Provide correct info and help......All This you are gonna do is At your Own Risk... Damage to your device of any type is at your Own Responsibility,,, Don't point finger at me or I will Just Laugh at you...
Now you need Unlocked Bootloader for doing this as fastboot work with unlocked bootloader
If you have already Unlocked Bootloader, you may skip all these steps until BOOTLOADER UNLOCK NOW text
PREREQUISTES:
1.) First of all, You should Unlock Bootloader so that fastboot can do its job well with ease (You can unlock bootloader by simple procedure...)
2.) You need the Update.app file which you wanna flash or to shift to that.
PROCEDURE:
FOR UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER, FOLLOW THIS
Go to this site Unlocking Code website or use this if above have some problem or not working, then Use this Website
Login to this site using your Huawei id which you made in themes store or in huawei cloud!!
Use the Serial Number Written on BOX OF YOUR PHONE..!!
Fill like, smartphone>Product Model should be "The one written in your About Phone section"
then fill all fields and captcha also.. Click Submit and get the UNLOCKING CODE....
you can unlock bootloader wid that code then and root permanently....
If your product id is incorrect as website says, then Download the Attached PC Software Named "Huawei Product ID Generator" then Extract this zip file...
Now open it, fill all Info in it and it will Generate a Product ID for your Phone....
After receiving the unlock code, write down the code;
Now go in your Huawei Settings>About Phone.
Then tap on Build number 10 times,,, you will get the Developers options in Last of Settings app. Open Developers option and Turn On the USB DEBUGGING.
Now connect your device to PC in MTP/FILES mode and then install the ADB drivers for it....
To install adb drivers correctly, use the Software Adb Driver Installer from here
LINK FOR ADB DRIVER INSTALLER
Full ADB folder is also attached Below.... put this folder in drive C.
Now Direct the cursor on the folder ADB, hold Shift and the right mouse button and choose "Open Command Window";
connect your phone to the PC in the "media device";
at the command prompt prescribe
Code:
ADB Devices
then we write
Code:
ADB reboot bootloader
(the device will reboot mode fastboot);
then typed
Code:
fastboot oem unlock ****************
(where the asterisks replace unlock code);
BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED NOW!!
You need to Extract the update.app file to get BOOT, SYSTEM, RECOVERY and CUST Images
For that, Download Huawei Update Extractor tool
And then open update.app file in this tool.
Extract all above mentioned image files and move them to adb folder.
Now you need to format Data and Cache so that it dont mess with new Rom,
for that, go in Stock Recovery by keep pressing Volume Up and Power Button while phone is Switched Off.
When in recovery, wipe cache and data both and then come in fastboot mode without switching on your device.
You can do this by, while phone is Off, keep pressend volume down key and plug in the USB attached to phone.
You are in Fastboot Mode now if you have done all Correctly
Now go in ADB folder and open Command windows as told above.
Now check if you phone is Correctly attached by giving command
Code:
Fastboot devices
you should see a device attached, Now give these commands correctly one by one,
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Code:
fastboot flash cust cust.img
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
wait for this to be done, it will take some mins as file is of 2+GB size.
When done, give command
Code:
fastboot reboot
When phone will reboot, unplug usb and You are Ready to go with your Desired ROM
If any Problem, or query, Post below, i will try to solve it ASAP....

So, this is the method i use to make my Sprint HTC Bolt a GSM Sim Unlocked HTC 10 Evo whithou spend 25$ to S-Off. I just make a ALL-In post to help users make this phone a GSM Free of blotware phone. There is references with the original posts i use.
I am not responsable if you kill your phone, if you dont how to proceed with the basic steps take your time and read a lot!
1- Unlock Bootloader at htcdev.com (The site has a tutorial on how to unlock your phone, you must select other devices)
./fastboot oem get_identifier_token
./fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
2- Flash recovery
>>> https://dl.twrp.me/aca/
./fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.3-0-aca.img
3- Root the device
>>> https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
Flash SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502 over TWRP
4- SIM UNLOCK
>>> https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-one-m9/general/nv-unlock-sim-t3314755
4.1 Enable Developer options on Settings>About>Software Information>More>Build Number (Tap on it multiple times to enable Developer optoins
4.2 Enable USB Debugging
4.3 Install dm.apk. Conect Phone to PC and run DM.APK, chose method 1 or 2 to enable DM Serial (same times a reboot its necessary)
4.4 Open Basic-Flasher. Click on Scan, Connect, On Method Select HTC, Read SPC, Then Disconect
4.5 Open NV-items_reader_writer, Select same port that shows on Basic Flasher, put your SPC number XXXXXX, Connect, Read. (It must shows SPC is correct. Phone unlocked. ON Range (Dec): put 30159 on both spaces. Write, select unlock.txt then reboot the phone. At this point it must be Sim unlocked.
If didn't work try factory reset. If didn't work also try flashing RUU again.
5- Stock Boot Animation
On TWRP mount all partitions, go to Advanced>File manager then
/system/customize/resource
Delete:
splash_screen.png
sprint_bootup.zip
sprint_shutdown.zip
sprint_wallpappers_00
Replace content(extract it!) fron com.htc.theme.rar to:
/system/customize/resoucers/theme
6- Remove sprint blotware withou break down the system. (This will not work for sprint users, its only for GSM porposes)
Rename all itens from .apk to .bak
/system/app/News_Republic
/system/app/SPC_HTC_Mobile_Guide_ACADIAWHL
/system/app/Sprint_Amazon_Cloud_Drive
/system/app/Sprint_Amazon_Instant_Video

/System/pri-app/Sprint_Sprint_VVM
/System/pri-app/Sprint_Zone
/System/pri-app/SprintPartnerBookmarksProvider-v190000
7- Return to Stock recovery (or leave thsi way to have it with TWRP recovery)
On TWRP Mount all intens
Install>Install Image>Selecte recovery stock.img>Recovery>Swipe to confirm flash>Reboot system.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After all this procedures make a factory data reset and en your HTC 10 Evo.
Worked on s.team custom rom 7.1.2
Another HTC 10 Evo has come to me with
CID-htc__059 , MID-2PYB20000 , OS-1.33.425.6 , So tell me that taking backup of this New HTC 10 Evo and then restore it on the old HTC 10 Evo with CID-11111111 , MID-2PYB20000 , OS-1.33.425.6 ,,,,,,, will solve the problems of no IMEI no baseband etc???
