Music pausing/playing when I turn the screen on - Sony Smartwatch

Not sure if i am the only one having this issue. Anyways, almost every time I press the power button to turn it on and then slide my finger across the screen to get the the apps and widgets and things (and almost any other way of turning it on..) as soon as i get passed the clock screen, if I am currently listening to music it either pauses and continues playing or just pauses altogether, and when i'm not listening to music it decides to start playing music and it is starting to get really annoying.

the same problem there. sucks. any fix ?
my phone is htc butterfly s with latest stock fw. Tried this on my 2nd phone, droid dna - the same.

Uninstall original Sony Music Player extension and install this much better one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.disrapptive.smart.music
Try it and if it also doesn't work for you, you have 15 min to ask for the reimbursement.

If you use the Google Music Player
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.steelthorn.android.smartextras.playmusic
Works very well (incl. Low Power Mode!)

[Q] pandora app issue

Hi! I have issue with Pandora app. I have Sensation 4G stock unrooted and when i try to play music it plays well with unlocked screen but when I lock screen it plays track and then it interrupts then I have 2 options:
1) if I unlock screen asap it continues it starts to play another track
2) I have to wait about 15 seconds and it starts to play another track but interrupts in about 10 seconds, if I still do nothing in about 15 seconds it start to play same track and interrupts again in 10 seconds after 3rd interruption it starts to play another track and it goes like this. If I leave screen unclocked (even if app is backgrounded) everything is fine. I did hard reset - didn't help. I was tried to play tracks on my ASUS Transformer - everything is fine.
Yesterday I tried to play songs with DI.fm app and it stops to stream song an about 5 seconds after I locked the screen and continues to play after unlocking. So, may be somebody has the same problem and what should I do to fix it?
I don't think it's a problem with the app, just the user!

I use Pandora constantly, either with the screen off or on, makes no difference, works great. There are so many reasons that this could be happening to you, I can only list a few.
In the padora app setting there are options for quailty of stream, Lo or High res. Also there is an option for keeping screen on or off. Finally there is an option for streaming via bluetooth.
After that in your phone is setting/power Under that option or things that you can have the phone do to save power such as shut down wifi, or turn off data when screen is off. These are just a few but I think the answer can be found if you just look through all the settings on your phone and adjust them accordingly.
Do you have juice defender installed? Or any battery saver type of app? If so try to disable it. Hope it helps you

Playing music and phone calls with headphones

I've got a really annoying problem; when listening to music on the headphones that came with the phone and a call comes in, the music appropriately stops to answer the call. But when the call ends, for any app other than the stock touchwiz music app, music will not start playing again until I unplug and replug in the headphones. It says music is playing, but no sounds comes through. The stock music app is mehh, I far prefer play music or power amp. Has anyone found a fix for this problem?

No, but it is annoying. You can also pause for maybe between one and two minutes then hit play again to make it start.
Also found that unplugging/plugging doesn't work if done too close to the end of the call.
Edit : fix ... see two posts down:
On beans 11 play music works. The only problem is occasionally when a song ends the next one won't start until I turn the screen on. But in terms of phone calls it fixes my problem

Okay, figured out the problem.
Go to settings, then motion, and at the bottom of the list uncheck (palm touch to mute)
Especially being in a case, it triggers the proximity sensor and mutes the music.
Haven't had a problem since I found aand unchecked this setting, so at least foe me that's what the issue was.

Google Play Music Skips

I'll start with this:
I'm on build 20 of klin1344's PACman rom
Newest version of Play Music
AC!D sound mod installed
-if I recall correctly my issue existed before I installed acid.
What I've been experiencing is skipping while playing music through be play music app. Not skipping as though it's struggling to buffer, but whenever I tap the screen, within as well as outside of the app. The issue isn't new to today's update, as it's been a problem I've always dealt with. It also doesn't have anything to do with streaming music vs playing music stored on the device, skips while tapping occur regardless.
I've searched around to no avail, so I do hope one of you can be of assistance.
Thanks

I have had this issue since I got my S3 a few weeks ago too. When I unlock my phone, type in password, or otherwise click the screen, the music skips.
This even happens when I am using Spotify to play music.
EDIT: BTW I am on AOKP ROM.
I failed to mention that poweramp runs smooth as a baby's bottom. Not the case with play music.

I have the same problem like it will return to the lock screen and then the Google music widget and the camera widget like combined and start flickering. this is when playing a song stored on the device as well as the new Google music access they came out with. Mine just pauses forever though and its annoying. I also have power amp and it works beautifully. this happens whether I'm on WiFi or cell data. Good thing this is a free 30 day trial!

I actually did end up figuring out what was wrong. A simple disabling of the system touch sounds and you're good to go. It was trying to compensate for the sound at the same time as playing the music, like when you get a text message it lowers the volume, plays the notification sound, and resumes at normal volume.
Jwattt I don't know why that happens, but it also happens to me. Weird.

I'm currently running liquidsmooth 2.4 on 4.2.2 android and there is no system touch sounds option. I believe this is only for touchwiz roms? I think my problem is something to do with how the widget is handled on the lockscreen. I know it's not just this rom too because I switched from MROM and before that deviant xone and since they are all pretty much based of Cyanogenmod I think it's some kind of mis match somewhere.

I had this problem as well and turning off the lock screen widget fixed it.

[Q] Volume changing while playing music

Does anyone else have this kind of problem? The volume while playing music is always changing, like one step up or down every 5 minutes give or take.
- I disabled all the sound and equalizer options from the settings to test if that was the cause but it didn't help.
- Rebooting the phone also didn't help.
- I use Spotify, didn't test any other app yet but I don't have this problem on my Nexus 5 using the same Spotify version.
- There is no way the volume keys were pressed accidentally because even when the phone just lies there, flat on the table, this happens.
- I am on the latest OTA.
Ha ha I thought I was crazy. Yes I do, it's not a drastic change in volume but I know exactly what you're talking about
Same problem here. ..
Did anyone find a solution to this problem? This is probably the most annoying bug I've ever experienced.

I have the same issue on my edge
I had the same problem, it was due to the "Sound Alive+" option in the sound menu.
I found that it was incompatible with both Spotify and Google Play Music, changing the volume of the songs randomly. As soon as I disabled this, the volume glitch stopped.
However, I migrated across to the stock music app, as I love the Sound Alive option.

That doesn't solve the problem for me, I disabled all the sound options (and still have them disabled) and even all the gestures and this still happens regularly...
Hey guys, same problem, I assume it's because of the equalizer voice/instrument equalizer wheel, for some reason it keeps adjusting music vs voice when I play music even if it's set up to normal... Let's hop samsung provides a way to fix this
I had the same issue initially as well using a bt speaker.
I have disabled sound Alive+. In addition, I have disabled the EQ of my speaker and in spotify. Doing so solved the issue for me...
Spotify informs you that using the Equalizer (software) it can affect sound level on some devices. So make sure that you do not have (extreme) equalizer settings in any of the affected software and hardware....
If you take all together, with a modern setup, the sound file is processed by: 1.) the playing software (with EQ) 2.) the streaming device (with EQ or sound improving software e.g. the samsung galaxy) 3.) the recieving (BT) device with software EQ (e.g. the UE Boom).
With my setup, I can turn of EQ at any stage and this solves the problem for me. If your BT speaker does not allow changes of its sound processing, this could be an issue...

How can you disable the EQ settings of spotify? I can't find such option in my app settings.

Hey guys, I found a fix, I uninstalled the app and installed the previous version (2.6.0.813) from the amazon app store and it's working fine, if the app store is not available you can easily find this version online.

Anyone still experiencing this issue, wait for the new spotify app update (2.8) or download the apk directly from here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/fo...oard-id/spotifyandroid/page/8/thread-id/43089
Scroll down a bit till you find the link. Fixed the issue for me!

just got 5.1.1 (T mobile USA), back at it pretty bad on 3.0..0.1124 (I haven't used it in a while though so can't be sure that it wasn't happening in at least the 2 previous versions
Same problem
Only I don't use Spotify and it does this crap on any audio. Facebook, YouTube, audio files, Google play, milk music, video files...EVERYTHING.

Did you/anyone ever solve this? When I plug in earphones, the Google app starts automatically (and restarts each time I close it) and then the volume goes up and down automatically.

Just last month my phone did a system update that took what felt like forever. Whatever was updated seemed to fix the issue. I haven't had any trouble since. Sorry. I know that doesn't really answer your question.

Google Music stops randomly

Greetings all!
I'm having a strange phenomenon when listening to music on my Pixel from Google Play Music (untested in other apps as I have all-access)... my music will randomly stop/pause. The app and persistent notification show the icon as if it's still playing (not paused or stopped) but there is no sound, seconds do not advance, never gets to the next song, etc. It's worth noting perhaps that this seems to happen towards the end of a song, for instance when there's maybe 20-30 seconds of the song left. I feel like it has something to do with whenever it might start to preload or buffer the next song in queue??
After I give the app a fresh restart it seems to work fine for a while.. anywhere from 15 minutes to hours. There seems to be no pattern that I can tell. The only other thing I'm thinking is that maybe an app I'm using is for some reason causing a glitch but I really only use like Facebook, Gmail, texting, calling, and a time clock app. I've never had problems until I got the pixel so it definitely seems somewhat device-specific.
It does this when listening to music thru BT or with headphones plugged in.
The quickest way I can fix this is to manually press Pause in Play Music persistent notification, and then swipe it away, press the Square and Clear All. With headphones I can just re-open Play Music and press play.. on BT I have to cycle BT off/on (I think, I actually don't think I've ever tried it without cycling BT), then re-open Play Music... Sometimes it will automatically continue where it left off when I re-open the app, other times I have to manually press play again. You can imagine this being quite annoying and potentially dangerous as it usually happens when I'm using BT in my car while driving.
I've tried clearing the cache, clearing data, and even a full wipe. I'm using Pure Nexus ROM currently, but had the same problem when trying Resurrection Remix. I have literally never used the stock OS, I rooted it the day I got it and installed unofficial Lineage... I don't recall having this problem in LOS but I only used it for a few days before trying PN, RR, and then back to PN.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Or does anyone have some potential ideas to fix the problem?
Mine does the same thing the fix for me is not use Google play music. Play music has done this no matter what ROM I was on
