I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed (countless other scenarios apply here). Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the product you find here before flashing it. You are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you (seriously, I will laugh really hard!). Your warranty will be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software.
Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP and CyanogenMod project. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
The Mfunz Forums launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better.
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development. Newcomers are always welcomed!
Types of Releases:
MoKee OpenSource has 4 kinds of releases: official release, beta, nightlies, and unofficial builds.
Official release: This version is tested throughly by developers and users, so it is the most stable build
Beta: When a device is newly added, there will be beta versions for testing, but there might be unknown bugs and problems
Nightlies: Nightlies are compiled automatically by servers, so it will have the latest features but beware of uncompleted works
Unofficial builds: These builds are compiled from source or ported by non MoKee developers
Official Releases:
MoKee Open Source supports many devices, but the developers may not have all devices in hand, so if there are device maintainers that can help out, the official releases will be decided by them, MoKee Open Source will only maintain the nightlies to ensure the usability of the ROM. However, for devices with no device maintainers, MoKee Open Source will decide when to release official builds or nightlies. Therefore, if you have a device maintainer, please get the official releases from your respective device maintainer's thread or nightlies from MoKee Open Source.

I hope you enjoy it. I have been running it for quite a while and I have no complaints.
A Q&A thread has been started for non development related questions, requests, chatter etc...
Here is the link:

Let's all try to keep this thread clean!

Thanks to you my friend! I appreciate your help. It was nice to have someone to "steer" me in the right direction; and not actually "drive" me to my destination. Logic prevails yet again!

Of course it is!
And just so that everyone knows, this DevDB project includes some important tabs at the top.
Screenshots
I have uploaded a bunch already, and I plan to add a whole lot more!
Downloads
In addition to my dev-host account, I will also be uploading them to XDA - you can find them in this tab; complete with md5 checksums.
Q&A
Pretty self explanatory. Let's keep anything not development related there; after-all, that is what it is there for! I will ask mods to move posts that do not belong here there. Repeated requests to the same people will get you BlackListed and ignored. Really, it's not that big of a request!

If your post disappears, it was probably moved to the Q&A Thread for this ROM, since the OP has asked that this thread stay dev talk, and questions etc go into the Q&A thread.
Thanks.

BJ, WIFI works for me and so does ADB. I am really digging this Rom. Battery life is phenomenal as I have come to expect from 4.4.2 Roms.
I saw one minor glitch when I first was setting up the Rom. The "X Remove" stayed at the top when I was removing a widget. It eventually went away after a reboot but I consider this cosmetic at best and it never happened again.
Other than that I have nothing but thanks for the outstanding Rom to report.

Great to hear. As this was sort of a dry run I didn't add or take anything away from the initial build. However, moving forward, I will be adding some useful features, and removing some unneeded nonsense. At the top of the main ROM page there is a tab for Feature requests. If you, or anyone else has a request for something you would like to see added, or subtracted, please put it there. It will be easier for me to keep track of everything that way. I have already received some great suggestions and look forward to receiving more. Please remember that I do this with my free time, and that I am not obligated to make all changes requested. That being said, I will do my best to accommodate "reasonable" requests. Thanks.
Additionally, at the top of the main ROM page there is also a section for Bug Reports. Please try to place all bugs, or possible bugs there. Again, this just makes things easier to keep track of. And as always, logcats are always appreciated when reporting issues.

Sweet. Will do. I can't for the life of me think of anything to add I really like it as is but I'm sure there is room for improvement. Tomorrow I'll be taking the phone into "Cell reception hell" and we will see how it handles a lot of red lines in reception. There have been a few Roms that couldn't hang there.
And as for the free time, I take my hat off to you sir. I am pretty much in the same boat and I have to manage my time accordingly. I really want to churn out a Rom as well. Any tips and note you have would be much appreciated. I have Pheonixita's guide and a few other guides from the Android dev thread but I'm not there yet.
I envy you! JK (You are my hero right now though!)

Ok. Two days in "cell signal hell" and here's what I got. The phone only rebooted twice when the signal was weak or not present. I say "only" because other Roms rebooted multiple times during weak to no cell reception unless in airplane mode.
I captured a Logcat and I hope it is useful. Funny thing is, I'm not totally convinced it was a reboot because the phone woke up as usual but when I checked the battery status there was a gap with a red signal status underneath it.
I also included a screenshot so you can see when it happened.
The battery still had 40% when I plugged it in to transfer files so it's been pretty good.
For others, this is after extended periods in and out of extremely weak to no cell signal which is tough on any Rom. Even when the phone was stock I had reboots and shutdowns because of this.
I ran the 3.18 RUU and wiped my SD card last week to clean out the phone so I know the hardware is working great.

I'm no expert with logcats, but right before AndroidRuntime started its shutdown process it looks like it was trying to load "xposed" binary 47. What xposed modules are you running?

Getting ready to brunch new build now! Removed Asian apps. Attempting to integrate battery bar. Any last minute requests before I start the build? No promises though.
FYI... The work iPhone really sucks. Trying to be open minded, but not seeing anything that wows me. Mediocre at best, and definitely behind the times in features... From what I can tell so far. Oh, and you have to pay for everything. Pffffftttt. At least I got to keep my One XL too!

The only APK I can think of would be F-Droid (open source play store equivalent). This Rom is outstanding. I don't see how this day can get any better. I picked up a Grouper for 30 bucks like new. The guy just didn't want it and never used it. lol.
P.S. Don't forget to let us know if it's a boy or girl!

I've got a new build ready. Uploading now.
This one is still completely stock. Bouncing between edits and housework (prepping for the baby). Hopefully tonight I can release the more feature packed version i have been envisioning.

I want to thank all the people here on XDA who took the time to flash my ROM several times throughout it's stages of progression, and report any issues found. Without them, this process surely would have taken longer then 6 days to complete. This ROM has been stripped down to it base little by little over the last week. According to my Recycle Bin, 49.1MB of "junk" has been pulled out of the original AT&T WM 6.1 ROM. Full list of removed applications in Post #4.
Please Note:
This ROM does not include a radio. I am not too partial to the original radio included by AT&T, as are many other people (battery life), so I decided to allow you to choose your own. Please Note: This ROM requires a radio that is compatible with the latest HTC builds. For a list of compatible radios, check out AllTheWay's Ultimate Radio Thread.
In order to achieve optimal performance with this ROM, 99.5% of the files not required for error-free operation have been removed. Immediately upon flashing this ROM, I strongly suggest flashing a Task Manager, such as the one in Post #3 below.
This ROM is UC Compatible. If you are not familiar with UC, check out the UC thread for details. PLEASE NOTE: UC runs automatically upon Initial Customization finishing, so it is normal to see the progress bar restart several times (and turn orange). Your phone will automatically reset after about 1 minute.

Nice work, but from the look of the screen shots, there is still a bit of bloat there. Your default background and color scheme seem to indicate that.

Well your statement seems to indicate your kind of an idiot? Am I rash to jump to such a conclusion? Why would you post this? If you look at the picture you'll see that there is 148MB of free program space. I'm pretty sure that's now a lot of "bloat". If you think you can do better, then cook your own rom, otherwise keep comments like that to yourself.

Please think before you open your mouth. If you think the background and color make a the ROM bloat you need to do a little more research.

The idea behind this ROM is for it to have the look and feel of AT&T's ROM, but without TeleNav and all that other crap they install and slow down the phone. I intentionally left the AT&T blue theme in the ROM because their dialer is blue, and it looks goofy against the WM default green theme.
I'm aware that there is still some bloat in the ROM, as I stated above. I will be working to clean it up more in the coming days. In the meantime, if someone wants an OEM-looking ROM that is pretty damn quick out of the box without any tweaking, this is for them.
I also state above that I will be releasing more cooked ROMs based on this one, but they will include additional applications and tweaks to color scheme and performance.
I'll be waiting for the newer ROM with tweaks and additional applications.
But for now, looks good to have a clean, fresh ROM from AT&T without crap
Thanks. I will be downloading and trying it this weekend. I have been less than satisfied with the ATT ROM and before I make the jump back to 6.0 I had hoped to get a stripped ROM to play with.
I appreciate your efforts. By the way, I have been reading for weeks, but have never seen what UC represents. Can someone enlighten me?

Thank you for the kind words.
I guess we just have two different ideas of what no bloat is. I personally believe it is a cosmetically debranded device (more in line with a Kyphyr release) , obviously you see it otherwise. Besides, beyond that, I personally see SIM Manager and CapSure as bloat. If you see it a different way, that's fine.

Custom ROM comparison database 2.0 (open to edit for public now!!!)

UPDATE: Database 3.0 can now be found here
Someone asked me to create a thread here for my custom ROM comparison database, so that's what I'm doing here now.
A few words from my side so you know what to expect of it and clear things up.
This is the original text I posted on my blog, so I'll just put it up here as well.
At the end of last week, I asked on G+ what to do next, an app comparison or a new custom ROM review. On of the first answers that got my attention was someone asking for a custom ROM comparison instead. I thought about it for a while how this could works since I can’t show them off side by side and it would be difficult no matter what. While thinking along I also remembered one post on YouTube where a viewer gave me the constructive criticism on the videos getting too long, especially the part where I listed all the features in the video review. I told him I am aware of that fact but I still haven’t found the right solution to make the videos shorter without missing any important specs. After some more thinking the idea of the comparison database was born.
The idea behind the database
Creating a database that contains all the available features clearly visible and quickly to access for everybody was actually the hopefully right solution. Using it I don’t need to waste anymore time on rattling down the whole list in my video… this saves me a whole lot of time but of course also you. And if someone wants to know if a specific feature is available in the reviewed ROM he can just quickly check the database and look for it, it’s as easy as that. Of course this method also allows me to focus more on the important aspects of the ROM itself.
Creating the database itself took quite some time for sure but in the end I think this is the cleaner and smarter solution for everyone. I hope this to get a helpful tool for everyone to easily find the right ROM for himself that suites him the most.
I did 2 videos, one quickly explaining the purpose of the database itself and an additional one explaining some of the more important custom ROM features so that people who are maybe new to custom ROM flashing know what to look for. If you see any feature in my database and wanna know what it is for or what it does, leave me a comment. I will then either quickly explain it if possible or collect some of the requests and make another “features explained” video.
Here is the link for the database (it will also be attached to every upcoming custom ROM video as well as the matching article), it will be updated with every upcoming custom ROM video review. I am no professional in text editing, so if someone is maybe bored or wants to help me out in making a better and more professional appearing database to improve it, please contact me, I’d really appreciate it.

Features of the database
--------------------------------------------------
- detailed list of all possible custom ROM feaures (~100 at the moment, constantly growing)
- containing 13 of the most popular ROMs + stock Android ROM + Xposed Framework to compare with each other (list is still growing)
- a lot of useful additional informations like links to downloads, ROM's websites, G+ communities and much more
- everything is sorted logically and color coded for fast and easy comparison
- all features have a quick explanation, expecially helpful for custom ROM beginners
- a lot of maintainers to keep it updated as good as possible (12 maintainers at the moment) - always looking for more, feel free to join
- constantly working on improving and enhancing the database
here is the link to the database 2.0 - thx to @parker09
some additional videos to explain the whole thing again...
Please feel free to leave any comments.
I'm a real Google docs noob so if someone maybe wants to help me clean it up and polish the style, just contact me.
And if this thread is posted in the wrong section, please just let me know.
UPDATE new host
Updates
Update
I read the posts here and on the portal and wanna set some things straight.
I do the database including the reviews in my free time, but besides that I´m also blogging, doing app/device reviews, how to´s and similar stuff so time for the database is therefore limited. That´s the reason I can´t progress with the database as fast as I would like to, also my way of testing takes up a lot of time.
I will of course try to do it as frequently as possible and of course ROMs like AOKP and Omni will follow in time.
That´s it for that.
Regarding mistakes and such, I know the database isn´t flawless but I´m not doing errors on purpose. About missing features of certain ROMs, it is possible some ROMs now have features that weren´t available at my time reviewing it but it´s almost impossible for me to keep track of all changes since I use different ROMs all the time and can´t always go back to already reviewed ones.
Update 2
Big change, after all what I read, I finally decided to make the database open to edit for public. Everyone can add ROMs and changes as he wishes to. I only ask users to be resposible and keep everything clean. Feel free to make new entries or correct errors if found. I think this is the best way for the database to grow.
The 2nd change is the move to another design made by @parker09 that is way nicer and better in my opinion.
The old one will still stay but won´t be updated anymore I think. So don´t forget to change your current link to the new one.
BIG THX to everyone in advance who decides to particate on working on the database, I hope the new way is a win for everyone.
Update 3
Sorry to say but the open to public idea wasn't the best it seems since the database somehow got messed up a bit. I want to prevent this from happening that's why I have some rules now to hopefully keep things clean and right this time.
Everyone is still welcome to participate in maintaining the database but has to do following now in order to get permissions to edit.
This reason for the rules is so I can better keep track of what gets changed by who and I know which parts are getting updated and which not.
How to get permission to edit?
Please contact me via PM on xda with the following title...
maintain custom ROM database "your email adress" "your google name" (the name that will appear when editing the document)
- Please also write down your name and email again within the pm just to be sure
- Please tell me which ROM(s) you would like to maintain or what you plan to edit.
- Please tell me if it is ok to add you to hangouts, this would make the teamwork faster and easier
Rules for maintainers
can now be found directly in the database
I want this so I have a list of all the maintainer and know who does what, so things don't get mixed up like 2 people editing one rom at the same time getting each other between in their way. This gives me a better overview so I can track the changes.

Maybe it didn't have it back when I reviewed it or I missed it. Will change it later. Thanks for the heads up
Can you add what you can do with stock+GravityBox? Then people can see which benefits they can get without flashing roms.
Hi nimrodity,
please make it available as a online tool for all ROM makers, so that they can update it as and when possible. and then there's no need you to update it.
Nice I did a column for Paranoid Android (as best I can - some features I don't know what they do) but did as best I could so if you want to copy & paste it.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...VoZ1l0bWxoYnVzek9oNnhlWXc&usp=drive_web#gid=1
On the second sheet I started one ages ago and that's the style I went with, and you hover over for what their options are.
Interesting, but what I would really love to see is developers from cross-ROM platforms joining hands
Lastest Carbon have got Paranoid PIE.
Small adjustments
You had a really great idea by doing this. I once search for something similar to this spredsheet and didn't find anything useful...till now!!
You did a wonderful job!
I just noticed 1 small thing and my other point is a suggestion:
1. In CM10.2 you have an option for the vibration intensity only, so maybe you could add to the "vibration" section: yes, but limited.
2. My suggestion would be to add another "spec" for the ROM. It would be "screen color/gamma calibration". It's a very interesting feature and CM10.2 (latest nightly) has it.
What do you think?
Thanks
Keep up the good work!:good:

I know but it didn't back then when I reviewed it. I can't always update the database especially with the old review build date. It would be too hard to keep track of all.
Thanks for Your work... Hope You will add more ROMs to this database and I hope other members will help You to get the info You need for awesome ROMs like:
Purity...
crdroid
XenonHD
Liquid Smooth
Vanir
Carbon
Illusion
beanstalk
Jellybam
... and more AOSPs
... ... ... ... OMNI
Purity, Vanir, Jellybam and XenonHD should be simple to track because devs keep the same MODs&features... little changes on every new build
More difficult to track other ROMs that add&remove features very often
I can't help You because I'm a Stockish man and I won't try AOSPs for now
Thanks for useful database, It will sure help me when I will going to flash new rom

Doesn't really make sense since it's all about custom Roms but I already thought about doing a separate review for the blog.
Not sure about your idea, will think about it though

As you can see by my simple list I don't know much higher about docs and I have no clue how to do such a tool. The idea sounds really cool if someone knows how to do that and wants to help out just contact me

Will check it later. If you see my YouTube channel you see my PA rant. I don't really have that much interest updating the database with PA since I'm not really a big fan of the to work. Nothing personal but I just can't get warm with their Rom
@nimrodity
Great work. Important factors when choosing rom could besides features be "RAM usage on clean install and no tweaks/installed apps" and benchmarks based on the same conditions.
But anyways, awesome work

Sorry I won't including benchmarks since they have nothing to say about performance in daily use. They are no important factor for me. Same for the rest, also I mention performance and such in my video reviews, don't plan on adding that stuff directly into the database though
On Cyanogenmod it says :
Volume Music Controls : music controls visible only but not with volume buttons.
You can control the music with the Volume buttons whilst being locked.
And if Poweroptions refer to the "menu" that shows when pressing the power button, you can en/disable airplane mode and select "Screenshot". And you can switch between Silent/Vibrate/Sound Profile.
Why no MIUI?
Great work! Just one little nag - why no mention of MIUI? It's distinct feature set should surely warrant a review, but that's just my opinion.

please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you time, as well as us.
-Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.
There is also a donate version which you can purchase to show appreciation.
-After downloading the Catlog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
-Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.
-As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.
-Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
-Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the forum with a brief description of the error.
-You can also open trouble tickets on our website for bugs.

GUIDE, FAQ and Useful Links
Much of what follows applies to many ROMs. If you have suggestions for things to be added to this guide or find any errors then please let me know.
Purpose and Rules of XDA
XDA is a development site. It is for learning and sharing. It is not here to "provide" apps or support to users. Most of the people that develop or help or support do so in their free time. No one "owes" you anything. You are not "entitled" to anything. Those that help others, are polite and try to help themselves will be more likely receive helpful and polite assistance.
Rule number one of XDA is : Search
Other rules include:
Be respectful
Be tolerant
Be helpful
Don't be an ass
Q&A or Dev Thread?
There is a separate development thread and Q&A/Discussion thread. Right now, I am happy for you to report all issues in the development thread.
But as it is a development thread, you should provide logs where ever possible and only report bugs if you have clean flashed. Telling others there may be an issue if you dirty flash is acceptable but please word it as such not a bug.
A little banter is accepted in the development thread, but please don't turn the thread into a chat room. Let's keep it fun but not so long nobody can be bothered to read, otherwise I'll have to revert to using the Q&A.
The Q&A is still there and available and is more "free".
Flashing
You should clean install for best results. If you "dirty flash" then at least wipe cache and dalvik/ART and you MUST provide logs with any issues.
Clean v Dirty Flash
There are a number of interpretations of clean flash. In recovery you should factory reset or wip everything except internal storage. This will wipe your apps and most app settings.
Whilst there are ways of backing up your settings they are not recommended because they can cause issues when there are changes to the ROM which affect how settings are stored or recorded. Do not restore system data: this often leads to forced closes and constant error messages.
You can use a backup app like Titanium Backup or Parcel. Sometimes restored apps can cause issues, and it is better and cleaner to re-download them, although not everyone has the time or inclination to do this.
If you do not wipe as per above, then you are dirty flashing. This is quicker and often works. But because things are left behind from the previous flash this can result in weird issues. When you dirty flash you really should wipe cache and dalvik/ART, so that there aren't residual
Reporting Issues
Before Reporting Issues
If you have issues with your new flashed system there are a few things to do before you report them.
First, if you have dirty flashed then try a clean flash to see if the issue remains - many issues are cleared this way. Also, it is very difficult to pin-point certain issues after a dirty flash.
Also, if you have Xposed installed then remove that before reporting. This is because Xposed can change things deep within the OS and make things behave differently, which in turn makes it very difficult to troubleshoot and resolve issues. This is Xposed hate - many devs require this and will not offer any support if Xposed is installed.
Reboot. It's surprising how many issues can be resolved by this simple step. Especially if an app is misbehaving or using a lot of battery.
How to Report An Issue
The biggest bugbear of those trying to help with issues is when they are not properly reported and require to have the same questions answered over and over. The circumstances may require different information, but here are a few common items to consider posting:
Version. Often people miss this and are reporting something that was solved days or weeks ago. Others say "latest" when it may not be. Quote the version number and/or build date.
Firmware. Again, quote the date or source.
GApps. The GApps version can affect which version of Google Play Services and PlayStore, amongst others that are used. Whilst often GApps can be "out of date" without any issue, when there is a lot of development by CM this can be very relevant.
Whether you clean or dirty flashed.
A log. Necessary if you dirty flashed, very useful even if you clean flashed. See below for how to do this.
How to replicate the issue. The more specific about how the issue arises and when, the more likely you are to get a quick resolution. If no one can replicate the issue it is unlikely they can resolve the issue.
How to Take a Log
This is an excellent guide.
Some kernels have their own log/bug report option to make things easier.
Useful Links

Frequently Asked Questions
No one answered my question.
Maybe no one has read it yet - you may need to give it time. Maybe no one knows the answer yet. Have you already tried to solve the issue? Were you polite? Did you give enough information? There is no need to keep bumping your post.
Which folder does the OTA file get downloaded to? Is it the full file or just the incremental update? Are there nightlies?
/sdcard/Download and it's the full file. They aren't nightly but they are normally very frequent.
Does BlissPop support Layers / RRO?
No. It has the CM theme engine.
Which kernel is best for....?
Stock is really quite good, so I'm not going to suggest any others, as there aren't many now and are easy to find on XDA. So much depends on you: your setup, apps, usage, signal. The list goes on. The real best way to find out is try them for yourself; give each one a few days to settle and you can observe battery usage, smoothness, speed, tweakability etc. But there is no Holy Grail kernel - one that gives the best of everything for everybody. "Performance" and "battery" aren't mutually exclusive, but most kernels are biased towards one or the other. Kernel governors and hotplugs also have an effect. If you are interested in a kernel, read some of the kernel thread.
One last point. When there are changes from CM the date and commits of a kernel can be important so the kernel and ROM aren't out of sync.
How is Battery Life
This often gets asked, but there is no clear answer that suits everyone. So lets start of by saying the team finds battery life to be very good.
There are however many things affecting battery life. Your apps, settings and signal all have a big effect. As does how often your apps are updating and whether over wifi or mobile data. Additionally, which kernel and it's settings also have an effect. As does screen brightness. Certain social and messaging apps can have a huge drain. How often you flash a new ROM has a big effect too. Ideally, from a battery life perspective, you should allow everything to settle and go through a couple of charge cycles. With the frequency of BlissPop updates I have never achieved this!
So every user will have different battery life and typical screen on time. Make sure when doing comparisons you really do it on a like for like basis.
If you want to investigate battery usage, consider apps like Wakelock Detector (WLD) and Better Battery Stats (BBS) as well as GSAM Battery Monitor. These will often pinpoint where battery is being consumed and what is waking your device. Quite often you will see an app misbehaving which can often be resolved with a simple reboot.

Dons of differences. F2fs is supported, and also other kernels too.
Downloading, will give feed back soon. Thanks for the build though.
Does kernel in this ROM enable overcloking? If it does, what is maximum possible frequency? Thank you.
Can anyone guide me to convert the file system to f2fs. I have changed system, data and cache to f2fs via TWRP, but grouper is getting boot loop and the "system" partition is automatically converted to ext4.
hello @ DutchMan_1990,
it seems to me that there can be only in DATA f2fs, not possible to System in f2fs

Nexus 7 Gapps: only Pico will work!
Hey, I flashed the rom on my 2012 Nexus 7, but I have trouble flashing the open Gapps: ik keep getting error that says there is no room on the system partition? Error 70? I'm trying the Nano version...
If it is because there really isn't enough space left after flashing Bliss why isn't there any reference to this in the manual to it? Seems pretty important to me?
Update: I was able to flash the PICO Gapps.
Seems to me that it would be pertinent to mention that that on a Nexus 7 there is not enough room for the full monty! Coud have saved me enough time...
By the way: I have the Nexus 2012 with 32gb, is there a (easy) way to make the system partition bigger?
Thanks

BanKs dynamic gapps also works but it'll left around 4MB of space , so it's pico then.

CURRENT ISSUES
*Camera doesn't work yet
*Cannot select "Allow" when granting app permissions. (Use Settings>Apps to manually allow)
If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, and is not a known issue with CM,
please take the following steps to report it to us.

Google and the XDA search bar are your friends.
Whatever you want to ask or find, it's probaly already there. This is why you often see replies just saying "Search!"

MOST RECENT UPDATE
BETA Bliss Rom 6.4 - 06-17-2016 Build is LIVE!
Here we are with another update for Bliss ROM. Big improvements all around, OTA is working now, and a few new things to help make things pretty. Builds are all uploading now, so I recommend a clean flash, and from here, the OTA app should work fine.
At this point, I think the ROM is pretty stable, but it will stay in BETA until we have enough feedback and positive reviews of the ROM.

OK, Maybe I'm just used to how things go in the LG G2 forums, but I would have expected a comment, or some feedback by now I assume. Maybe that isn't how things work over here, but let's see if we can give it a try.
If you try out this ROM, please also try to let me know what you think, or if you run into any issues and they weren't listed with the release notes, please also share those with a Logcat or kmsg if needed.
Thanks folks!

The community here is pretty small nowadays (maybe ~15?). Other than that, you'll notice the frequent ones around here.
Though I haven't tried the ROM on my kindle, it ran superbly great on my N4! Thanks for the bringup to the device and will try it soon on my Tate. Greatly appreciated!!

I'm going to see if I can port this over to the 8.9". so far, I'm planning on reverting the kernel back to 3.0.72+ to try to fix the camera issues; other than that, I don't expect too many modifications to be made in the near future.

Let me know how it works out on the Jem We might have to follow suit on the Tate if so.
I for one would like to thank you this ROM and your work, it is truely welcomed IMHO. I bought my sons a pair of ASUS tablets not long ago and have been considering getting myself one, but this ROM may save me from having to do that! :good:
I have been running it for almost a week, though my time with the tablet has been really limited due to work. And although I have not taken logcats the only issues I have had at this point are interface slowdowns/sluggishness (reduced after tweaking performance settings) and force close of Settings when attempting to access Settings/Bliss Settings/Buttons.
I will try and get a logcat on the Settimgs issue.
Quick Fix for camera:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/kindle-fire-hd/7-development/cm13-quick-camera-fix-t3421847
Looks like my latest test build fixes the issue with accepting permissions Here is a link to my g-drive folder with that build: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2hjuvxuncgYS3Q0bGk5MHpGWjA
Clean flash is recommended. I used OpenGapps 06-13 with no issues or conflicts. Camera still doesn't work, but we are all working on that (Thanks to @alexander_32 & @monster1612 for all their work too!!!) Will be making another post hopefully soon with more news
Thanks to the bliss team and cm team and all who had a hand in this ROM. PROPS I luv this ROM its working great took about 15 mins to boot but so far running great. Camera doesn't work we all know but I never use it on Tate so no luv lost there. found one problem at first when I clicked a link it rebooted no clue why but hasent done it again so far fingers crossed.outher then that great work guys.I'll report any bugs I find along the way in a few days.
The ota update doesn't appear to be working. It says update available but shows as null and when press download a message saying URL incorrect contact ROM developer.

Yeah I get that to. And google fc and a lot of random reboots and it takes 8 to 10 mins to boot each time.I'm on it now still like the ROM.

Works great. Thank you much.
SAME BUILD (M4B30X) WITH 3.0.101 KERNEL
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224391780
Installation: Full wipe/Flash ROM + Open GApps
I was able to just swap kernel sources and after deleting zip package, boot.img and some files it took only 20 minutes to get a build (because more than 90% was done already).
So, you can now try to find the difference between first build (3.0.72 kernel) and the second one (3.0.101 kernel).

Nice. Getting some occasional screen tearing, but otherwise works well.
Great rom guys, it's fast (not a rocket, but fast, yeah), all that i need works, the sound mods works too, really! And this baby is really a sound machine, powerful until now, and i like this! So many thanks to all devs that i already tested a rom!

Bugless ROM(s)

I'm really appreciated for ROM developers' work! All these guys working really hard and give to all of us ROMs, with useful features and tuning. But...
Take a look on every first post for almost every ROM. Long-long-long list with huge banners like DISCLAIMER, CREDITS, FEATURES, etc. Are you really sure that your users can estimate your work looking on this "(des)infographics"?!
I'm personally, like thousands of other visitors, are looking for ROM, at first - without bugs, which may be vital for them. For example, ROM with excellent design and unique features is absolutely useless for me if there is a sim switching bug is exists in it. Just imagine situation: I switched off one of my sims and found that the only one way to return it back to work, is "reflash ROM"!!! Why? Bcz it's "a well known bug". Relay great case to get this knowledge, for example, right during going out of a plane in unknown country which you decide to visit first time in you life and left without any communication channel! )))
May I suggest to all ROM developers and regular ROM users list on ROM's first page or here in this thread very short text list with list of ROM's bugs and possible solutions for them, if any exists?
As I know, now there are following bugs that may be critical for lot of users:
fast charge - not working or working but haven't indicator in status bar.
root - buil-in or must be installed separately? Which one SuperSU, Magisk, or other one?
NFC & safetynet test - can this ROM provide wireless payments?
VOLTE - is it working?
sim switch off/on - you switching off one sim and then can't bring it alive even after reboot.
flight mode - after switching it off you must reboot your phone to make new calls.
led indicator - it may not work at all, may partially work with one blue color, can be tuned by LightFlow or other app
double tap to wake up - is it working from the box or required external app?
one key (energy saving switcher on left side) - is it working?
dark video - when switching from photo mode to video, picture and video itself becomes noticeable darker than photo.
finger print actions - don't work, work after reswitching navigation buttons, work with registered FP only.
huge bluetooth power consuming - showing more than 10% while in fact the weren't any device connected and BT wasn't in use.
Please review all above in my list ant type for us short report about their current state in your ROM.
And one more point: dear ROM builders, please do not use bugs descriptions like "same as lineage OS 14 from ....". When you publish your ROM some bugs may be present in other ROMs too. But later, in those other ROMs their authors may fix some of them, while in your ROM they still may left, because you haven't update it. Please don't confuse your customers and don't force them to scan all threads trying to find answers. You know your bugs - please simply list them. And maybe community will give you advice how to fix them (like in case with FP from HigwaySatr).

unfortunately "great" - it's only your emotion. To get facts - try to check every item from my list in your "great rom" and you will find at least "sim switch of/on" and "dark video" issues.
DotOS looks similar to ViperOS but it haven't "sim switch of/on" issues. but DotOS development already stopped (

it was done in my previous message - DotOS. One more choice - LOS from HigwayStar. As I found these twos are both without "sim switch off/on" bug. But they have some other bugs (f.e. dark video).
Now I switched from DotOS to HigwayStar because HWS still working on it, and DotOS is freezed.

can't understand - are you serious or ironic? but it seems to me - the last one.
if so - let me tell you: I'm really tired of the same dumb process:
discover "new" ROM at this forum -> backup currently running OS -> install new ROM -> make primary setup for it -> test that vital for me feature isn't work -> say 1-2-3 (un)censored words or sentences -> reboot to recovery -> wipe all installed stuff -> restore previous ROM with less bugs inside it -> one more time promise to myself no more trying unknown ROMs -> but... still watch for new releases.

Hey. There's a good bugless(ughh) ROM it's called stock ROM. If you're not satisfied You can actually tell anything to them cuz you have paid for it. Have you tried that?

my question was not about my satisfaction. it was about statistics - how many bugs from my list and which ones have every ROM published here.
I don't required recommendations or suggestions. I will be glad to see simple answers about each of 12 item - bugs exist or not. from anyone who had test them by himself )
Let me show answer example that I'm expected on:
LOS 14 from HigwayStar
fast charge - working but haven't indicator in status bar.
root - Magisk 16 built in ROM installation script
NFC & safetynet test - working, my payments were accepted lot of times. installing xposed module broke safetynet test (
VOLTE - supported, but I can't test bcz of absence 4G
sim switch of/on - working.
flight mode - after switching it off you can make new calls without any bodymovements.
led indicator - working out of the box. you can setup 16 mln colors, blinking speed and delays.
double tap to wake up - working from the box.
one key (energy saving switcher on left side) - may work, but ROM author decided to switch it off in latest release
dark video - when switching from photo mode to video, picture and video itself becomes noticeable darker than photo especially for dark scenes.
finger print actions - work after reswitching navigation buttons, even without registering FP.
huge bluetooth power consuming - showing more than 10% while in fact the weren't any device connected and BT wasn't in use. simply calculation issue, bcz battery isn't really draining by sleeping BT.
it's not an example. it's my real report about ROM that I'm currently using.
this report may be also about my DotOS usage, but i switched from DotOS to HWS because DotOS - frezed, and HWS - still under development.
Do you know what all bugs(super annoying) the stock ROM have? Did you bust into Lenovo forum and post things like this?
If yes then wait for their update (rip in advance)
If no then go try that and tell me if somebody gives a #@!*
This ROM development is nothing you own. It's developer's hobby which they do in their free time. So creating a thread like this with such a demanding attitude is crossing the line.
You said about the long post on every ROM like intro and blah. Blah. You should read them.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* Third World War, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
If you think you can make something better do it by contributing towards ROM development.
Wow! So much angriness for one simple question! )))
Dear Senior Member Siva Mk, let me ask you why you are wasting your time and writing to me one more "long post",
You said about the long post on every ROM like intro and blah. Blah. You should read them.....

instead of provide us answers for my question, if you have any one?
You are right - no one owes nothing to nobody! at this and all other forums.
I DON'T REQUIRE from somebody, and from ROM developers especially - any warranties and immediately fixing all existing and not existing bugs. Please reread my very first sentence in first post.
I'm really appreciated for ROM developers' work! All these guys working really hard and give to all of us ROMs, with useful features and tuning.

I simply want to get help from other users (or ROMs' authors) and collect in one place info about ROMs critical bugs, which maybe helpful for all of us here, to choose ROM, most appropriate for himself.
I have a question - I had asked it. On my previous post I gave an example of answer that I expected. If you haven't such answer - please don't grow Universe entropy and simply ignore my posts and topics. Let we all stop this flooding, and will concentrate on help one to another
How many threads like this are going to be opened ? And who are you to tell developers what to do or bemoan the lack of bugless ROMs ? Ask a mod to close this thread because it's useless as no developer cares about your opinion. This is one of the reasons why there should be a down vote button on XDA like there is on reddit.

I'm one of the users legion. I'm those who use ROMs which developers creating not for their own using. As far as developer decided to publish his ROM in the Internet, he MUST be ready to answer the questions about his ROM.
Let me repeat once more to be completely clear:
1) I don't want to test on my own phone ALL published here ROMs.
2) I asked ROMs' users or their authors help in checking and reporting existing of some vital for lot of users bugs, that MAY be present in these ROMs.
Why did you all pounce on me (instead of check and report bugs existing)?
Am I asking anywhere at least one ROM developer to immediately FIX bugs in his ROM?!!
One simple question with pre-prepared themplate to make answer as easy as it possible. Are any criminal in my 12 items bugs list?
Once more I'm urging all to switch from hollywaring to finding bugless ROM or at least clarifying which bugs are exists in each ROM.
Nice thread, Sorry there is no bug-less rom available for P2 right now ?
For me the only rom that has no bugs is stock mm 6 even stock nougat for me has a bug that Lenovo can't solve till now linegue os by HWS is the best with minor bugs that does not affect daily drive
