T Mobile is currently selling the G2 for 400 bucks brand new, get it while you can that's a great price

Unfortunately this is only for new, postpaid activations.

It's actually also for upgrade, and the offer is no longer available. I was able to get on the deal and pay for it up front.

Ah well. It was still only for postpaid. I actually bought my G2 yesterday from Wirefly. I may have paid $200 more for the phone, but I'll be saving $600 in service rates over the next two years. I figure I'm coming out ahead.

[Q] Play Store Magazine "Subscriptions"

Question: Not necessarily about the Nexus but the PlayStore in general...
Why for most magazines the price is .99c but a "year subscription" is $15-34+
Wouldn't it make the most sense to buy each issue when it's released for .99c rather than spending an extra $4 for a yearly subscription? Or am I missing something here? Does the price of the magazine decrease as the days count down to the newest one or something?

Would that not be like 2x the price?
.99c x 12 issues = 12$
.99c / $35 = $2.8 an issue for a "yearly subscription"
What the? Someone shed some light on what I may be missing here?

I want a ChromeCast so badly

But they are going for double the msrp of $35 on eBay and sold out on Amazon and best buy... I hate waiting! And I'm afraid that with limited/backordered devices from Google, it's only gonna become more of a frenzy (think tickle me Elmo)..sigh... almost tempted to spend the $85 on eBay before it goes higher...
For those that haven't heard:

I know what you mean, I read the news piece on it and it sounds really good. Not sure when it's going to be available in the UK but I'm pretty certain that when it does come out here, it will be going for a lot more than it is now. Find it quite annoying and frustrating that things here are more expensive than in other parts of the world. Gah!

Tmobile and sprint merger? ??

Mo Money!!
As the regulators are the ones that are the problem, and the fact that T-Mobile has requested a payment clause in the event of a failure, I think you may see the ATT/T-Mobile merger redux.
Outcome? No merger but T-Mobile even more replete with cash and maybe even some spectrum?
My guess is, regulators won't approve this merger (as they didn't with the AT&T/T-Mobile merger), and T-Mobile will get some cash out of the deal.
I wouldn't worry about this too much, T-Mobile will stay the thorn in the side of AT&T and Verizon, as we all love.
