samsung sgh i927 captivate glide, really read the forum and no one is saying about wifi hotspot tethering, something else is gps doesnt show right.
didnt test the other 4.4.2 CM 11, but omni ROM seems really good.

its samsung glide i927. i have problem with the battery. when its at 20% it goes off and when plug in the charger it shows 0%,

Hi Everyone,
I'm using a Samsung Galaxsy S3 LTE i9305 and it has been working flawlessly in Australia on a stock and custom ROM.
I'm currently travelling in the US and I have purchased a T-Mobile prepaid SIM. After inserting the new SIM I have been able to get a edge network connection and making phone calls works fine. However, ive only been able to get a Edge data connection, no 2G, 3G or 4G. This occurs in all locations, I have been in 4 major cities and it is the same.
I called T-Mobile and we checked all the settings. They were unable to find anything wrong and escalated my issue to the 3rd level team. I'm waiting to hear from them. In the mean time I have tried the following wihout succes. The phone is running cyogenmod 10.2 Nightly, I upgraded this to the latest 11.x Nightly and the result was no network connection at all. Furthermore after the upgrade I was not able to enter any APN settings, it was as if no SIM was insirted. Next I tried downgrading to Cyogenmod 10.1 Stable release and the result was the same. Finally I tried installing Paranoid Android 3.99 RC1 and again same result, no network at all.
Im running out of ideas. My next move is to try a stock rom but I hope I can avoid it because it is a large download and I have no access to a computer. What do you guys think could be causing it?

What is your radio version ? Is yours International version ?
I was wondering if any one else with a sprint note 2 has had the same results after flashing this devs rom post (4g lte not working and phone keeps trying to activate )

I have had that problem too. Have you found a fix yet because I haven't...
I had installed CM11 kitkat 4.4.2 in my Galaxy s4 mini GT I9195
Since I wasn't intrested on that rom I installed again Samsung jelly bean 4.2.2 UK original rom from sammobile.com
And then I had a problem of not connecting to wifi but that was solved after I rooted the phone.
Now problem is I dont have 2G mode on my Network modes. It only has 3G and automatic connect only.
Because of this when I always have to connect to 3G when i'm going out of house and it drains my battery.
Do you guys have any suggestions how could I add 2G mode to my mobile?

Sometimes I softbricked my device but I didn't give up. Keep trying.
Read carefully the thread before installing the rom. When majority of them expressing good opinion about the rom. You can try it.

This might just piss everyone off but I am not a seasoned poster so here it is.
I rooted my phone using framaroot then installed CWM via rom manager then tried, neatrom, spirit, pacman, cyanogenmod. all are kitkat 4.4.4 based.
My problem is the wifi keeps disconnecting and connecting spasmodically, after that occasional behaviour though it tends to become dormant, with the toggle tile showing a grey colour. I dont know how to identify the cause, I have checked for hardware problems like the bat500 leak issue, tried setting manual ip settings etc. I am not familiar with all the settings in these more modern versions of android so maybe there is something basic I am missing.
I have done a bug report but have no idea what to look for

was it because the phone has been rooted? or flashed with the incorrect recovery module. Can I recover from this and go back to the jelly bean 4.1.2 stock that was on there originally (i forgot to nandroid after rooting, in the haste of new rom fun, I know what a dickhead) I cant find any original stock JB files for my location.
Any help would be most valued.... Im not retarded but definately feel like it now that Ive been 24hrs trying to solve it.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Not all Wi-Fi issues are device related. Many of them are router related. Have you rebooted your router? Also, is it's firmware up to date?

It appears that this is a device specific issue, I have searched but cannot find any actual solutions to the problem...
When samsung put out the jb 4.1.2 update they did a crappy job with the modem and then pulled device support.
This issue as far as I can tell is to do with the modem and its drivers (I think) this issue developed with the upgrade to the new 4.1.2 JB stock rom. there were plenty of people having problems on a stock rom platform.
I am guessing that the custom roms dont fix this issue in kit kat 4.4.4 does anyone know if there is progress with the lollipop releases.
Does anyone know what I can do about it? should I open up some of the old threads?

Hello everyone, its been a very long time since I regularly flashed custom ROMs on my HTC EVO. Years! Seems that everything has changed since those days, anyway I'm having trouble with mobile data on each custom ROM that I flash. After booting and going into the Google setup wizard I can't seem to connect to a cellular network. If anyone has any ideas it would be a great help. I'm currently running Team UB's unofficial CM 12 5.1.1
Again any help would be greatly appreciated. And if this post is in the incorrect section I'm sorry!
Have you used Odin to go back to stock? Just to see if it does it in a factory state.
Actually found one CM12 based ROM that I do get mobile data, but just this one. Haven't tried reverting back to stock yet. May just be a problem with MY phone as others have told me theirs runs fine on the same ROM.
Yea, it's possible that it's hardware related
