Messed up sound/speakers - Sony Xperia L

So this is weird.
I don't get any sound from walkman/youtube/apps/etc. When I adjust the volume, I get nothing from the rear speaker like you would when you adjust sound.
When a phone calls, I hear nothing from the phone speaker but people can hear me. I can switch to speaker phone and hear out the rear speaker.
If I adjust the volume for sound or alarm, I can hear it through the rear speaker.
If I set an alarm I can hear it.
If I go to sounds to pick a new sound for alarm/ringer/whatever, I hear nothing.
I have done a full FTF flash with wipe from Flashtool for the latest firmware.
I have locked bootloaders and haven't flashed any kernels or anything.
Basically rear speaker works for alarm and speaker phone but not music/media/sound picker
Mic seems to work
Front speaker doesn't work at all.
Confused :S Brought it back to my carrier, they said I have to send it to Sony. I just flashed the .12 firmware to see if that fixes it and it's a .14 glitch with my phone. I've run .14 for a week though with sound so it's weird.

seems like it's the headphone jack. put in a 3-ring headset with a mic on, wiggled it around, it all works, now and again. Hope sony fixes it and is fast at it.

Hearing myself on the speaker on NATF

I'm running NATF 4.6 with a .19 radio and after flashing everything yesterday, i've noticed that when I make a call and speak into the microphone, i can hear myself on the ear speaker. if i turn up the volume it gets louder until the volume is maxed then secondary to the duplex, i no longer hear myself. if i lower the volume down the lowest, i can still faintly hear myself. this is driving me crazy as when the volume is up to second bar or more, my voice is significant on the ear speaker. this never happened on the stock ROM so I'm guessing its a ROM issue for which there is something I have to tweak somewhere. Anyone have any input?? Does it have something to do with the ICR and if so, how do i disable it??
bad radio flash, re flashed and all is good... done and done.
i'd close this thread if i could....

[J]Issue with speakers

After I pluged in handsfree (smothing like this http://www.motorolasolutions.com/XU...013_XU-EN_XN-EN_XC-EN_XE-EN_XM-EN_PK-EN_XF-EN) the speakers started to do weird things. When I try to listen to some music the speaker on the back which is usually loud is know almost silent and front speaker which shouldn't do anything is playing the music.
I tried factory reset, installing new rom but nothing helped. I'm afraid that it is hardware problem.
Neeeeeeveermind it somehow fixed itself. -.-

[Q] No audio, not even headphones

So there is no sound in my infuse. I have looked other threads and at least their headphone was working so speaker must have lose contact.
In my case not even headphones, mics, in call sound etc nothing works. Anything related to audio does not work. Headphones get detected, ie when i try to raise volume it suggests high volume can damage ears, but no sound through it.
It happened to me twice before and once it worked after few days, and the second time i twisted my phone a little and sound was back on. Now i tried everything, opened up removed the speaker and reinserted, straightened out the speaker audio pins and all but no result.
So if audio does not work, nothing works not even headphones or incall mic. What might be the problem?

Xperia z3 Speaker Issue

Hello, first of all my english isn't good enough to describe all i want to say, i hope it's enough understandable.
My device xperia z3 (D6653) has a problem on speaker with incoming calls and activate loudspeaker phone during phone calls, the ringtone is too low.. as well as my speaker in phone calls.. the music is working fine and loud as it should be (both speaker work, top and bottom) but when somebody call me the phone rings too low even though every volume level is set to max! it's even more weird because when i go to "phone ringtone" like i would to set a new one, when i play the ringtone i already put or any another one the volume is normal as it should be and both speakers work.. but the problem still goes on when somebody calls me the bottom speaker only working and the phone sound is too low to hear of course as i mentioned when i active phone speaker during a call the bottom speaker still only working and i can't hear the caller while no sound or noise near me (quite place)!!
please help me, i am really very very disappointed.. i am missing most of my incoming calls because of this, and i can't hear the when loudspeaker is activated in calls..
P.S: the phone sound overall become a bit low but pretty noticeable after lollipop update or whatever i don't know, it was more louder when i bought it new, btw the speaker issue is remained the same when it was new though..
Build number; 23.4.A.0.546
Thanks.
please anybody help me!! i need a new software to solve this problem.. i can barely hear my phone ringing or even loudspeaker during calls...

Earpiece speaker volume too low when playing audio clips

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum.
I have a stock Moto G 2015 2/16 GB version.
I've always had a problem with it: when I try to play an audio clip in Telegram or Whatsapp through the earpiece speaker, by pulling the phone up to my ear, the volume is just too low. It's all right if I'm in a quiet room, but as soon as there's even modest noise around, I can't hear anything. I can use the volume keys to adjust it, but it turns out I'm already at the highest setting and it's definitely not enough.
Conversely, when I use that same speaker during a phone call I can hear fine, even in a noisier room.
I'm running Android 6 at the moment but, as I said, I've had this problem since the beginning, when my phone still ran 5.x.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I actually have the opposite issue.
xt1540 2/16 6.0 stock not-rooted, bootloader unlocked
Music audio, notification tones (bells, beeps, whistles) are fine and loud
Phone calls volume is very low.
I've tried...when call starts down the volume then back up...no go
Move back to 5.1.1, still same issue.
Tried removing LCD to get ear screen out of the way...still issue persists.
edit > 4-Sep-2016
I replaced the ear speaker, still low audio during calls. I forgot to describe when call is placed in speakerphone mode, the audio is fine albeit slightly distorted on high volume.
** comment ** I have a Lumia 640 LTE, (SD410) call volume in earspeaker is loud where I have to turn it down a couple clicks. And I've had people tell me that on their end my voice comes through same if not better than a corded landline. (using the same SIM that was used in the G3).
squid kernel screws the speaker while calling, make calls louder
Looks like it's an issue with a lot brand/model phones.
Something about mixer_paths.xml and "RX1 Digital Volume" needs to be changed.
So I'm guessing all the manufacturers are really lazy in tuning their Android smartphones to perform best for it's primary function, being a phone. Well, for that matter, overall sound quality with all the mic's and speakers.

Thank You hp420
I haven't tried it yet, but when I do I'm sure my G3 will be usable. And thanks again for taking the time and testing/providing different volume level versions of mix_paths.xml.

Update: I've tried the modified mixer_paths.xml, only marginal success. Possibly have a damaged speaker.
