[Q] More Merging Questions Sorry - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay guys I'm back for more questions. Ever since I successfully merged Halo into my ROM with the help of members I want to do more. Now what I'm trying to do is to figure out how to cherry pick from Github.
I already know how to do it from gerrit but Github is very confusing. I'm trying to find Dark UI and Multi view and fork it into my ROM.
The problem is, I don't know how or even where to find the source code for these things. I was wondering if somebody could add me on hangouts/PM me for help! Thanks!
Device: Nexus 5 16GB Black
ROM: PABETA3 (ZacksBuild w/ Halo!) w/ Franco r32

[Q] [4.1.2] [XT925] Stock kernel source?

Is this source released by Motorola?
I have the stock setup (build 9.8.2Q-8-XT925_VQU-26) and need to recompile that kernel (harden it, mainly), but would like to keep everything else as-is, if possible.
I do not wish to upgrade to KK as I am happy with what I've got.
The Motorola mobility on github is listing KK-only kernel sources and the only other place I could find is http://sourceforge.net/projects/motoxt925.motorola/files/RAZR HD/, but my build isn't listed there so I am not sure I could use any of them builds listed there.
Any help?

How to compile aosp source code for specific devices?

Hi guys, I'm a total noob to android custom roms, so please don't abuse me if I've just asked something very obvious to devs...
Please don't reply giving links to the aosp project, I've already seen them.
Assume I have the system needed to build from the source code.
How do I exactly configure the toolchain for a particular device(say moto g xt1032)?
Do I get configurations with the 9gb download, or do I have to download it separately? And will I be able to successfully compile a working ROM for that device?
I just wanted to know more before diving into my new project.

[Q] Help needed building custom kernel for Mako

Hi
I've managed to build a stock kernel (5.0.1) from source for my Nexus 4 but what I'm trying to do is add Stratosk's 'double tap to wake' to this kernel. I have no experience with Git so finding out what commits I need is proving problematic.
Can anybody offer any pointers please?
Thanks

Building AOSP for my HTC One E8 (M8 Ace)

Hey people!
I was trying to learn how to build AOSP ROMs for my E8, for which HTC has released the kernel source on the HTCDev website.
I feel kind of lost right now.. I have uploaded the kernel source for the device on to GitHub: [LINK] There are two archives within the source archive, where one says "platform" and the other is the kernel source.
Now, I'm syncing the AOSP source as they tell you to in the Sony Developer Portal (from HERE) to my Ubuntu VM (which is a huge download). What do I do next? Will this be enough to build the ROM or will I need other resources as well?
Sorry, I've never really done this before. So, I have some really noobish questions.
Thanks!

Anyone? Please help!!

[Q] Help Building unofficial ROM

I'm trying to build unofficial Dirty Unicorns for the TF300T. I've been using this tutorial to set up my build environment:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/tutorial-compile-lollipop-ubuntu-t2929410
I've managed to sync their repos and all that, and I've come to the device tree. I wasn't able to find an equivalent tree on Google's website like the Nexus 7. So my question is, where can I find the tree(s) for my Transformer? Is building for a device really as simple as combining the repo, device trees, and blobs? That's what this tutorial implies. Or am I likely to end up with a crappy build?
Wow.
you might be able to find the device tree from the omni rom guys. Last time I tried to do this it was for my ME301. I was able to download the device tree from the Omonirom gerrit page. Poke around the Omnirom guys site and thread and see if they have it. Here ya go. This is the cyanogen github page. it looks like they list both the tf300t kernel and the device tree for cyanogen mod ROM
https://github.com/CyanogenMod?utf8=✓&query=tf300t
That might be a start
Here is the wiki page for building Cyanogen Mod for the tf300t and it might explain some steps better
