Yes i did sometime ago, it didn't work for me too, went bacj to cwm using odin

You can see the interesting file size of twrp 3.0?compared with 2.8.7.0 it only has nearly 3m and it will causes bootloop

I have used extremebeats sound mod. It give me good bass and crystal clear sound. It is combination of some audio engines available on XDA.
