Hi Guys,
I have tested this method and it really works great with our Xperia C and it's really simple work. Got this from :
http://xperiahtcrootingrom.com/how-to-change-android-boot-logo-of-mediatek-device-micromax-karbonn/
Credit goes to the actual owner and a bit to me for trying and testing on Xperia C
Hope you will enjoy this as we are limited to customizing our phone because of locked Bootloader !!! I am hoping that our phone bootloader gets unlocked soon so that we can have CWM installed and then finally start off with Custom ROMS build.
Enjoy !!
RG
I have attached 2 boot_logo files which i actually tried
Steps :
1. Root required with a good explorer like ES Explorer (I use it all the time and i love it)
2. Navigate to System/media/images and you will find boot_logo file. Please take a backup first.
3. Now rename the file to boot_logo.old and copy my attached file there and make sure to give proper permissions rw-r-r using Root Explorer. (also make sure to rename my attached files to just boot_logo)
4. Once done, simply reboot and you will see the changed boot logo image
NIce mate !! Gonna try it now .
is it the spalsh screen or the boot animation ??

Please read the thread subject properly and then post your suggestions.
If you read carefully this thread is for changing the boot logo and not boot animation!!!
Boot logo is the screen right before boot animation starts.
Please feel free to revert if required.

Follow the instructions in the above thread.
Or you can exact the boot animation file from the CWM ZIPs and manually copy the boot animation file to '/system/media' and replace the previous one (if it exists).
Thanks ... for the reply

I have worked with some XOLO Q1100 folks and we have finally created Stock XOLO Q1100 backup. I was just viewing my FB account and then I got a message from Vallabh who gave me list of all partitions. After that I made a script to backup stock firmware for XOLO q1100 and he passed it to Gaurav because his ROM was much tweaked. Finally Gaurav uploaded the ROM and I am now posting it on XDA.
This is the first XOLO q1100 firmware release and I am proud to do so with my friends!
Credits:
ME: for making script and other things.
Vallabh: for trying this script and for endless testing.
Gaurav: for uploading the firmware!

But then how to use thie stock firmware because our Customer Recovery doesn't work.
Also if Gaurav is on XDA, can you pls ask him to mention what all tweaks are on his stock ROM?

download your custom boot animation from
https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&r...=F8FopL-7KT2c2QdPRiGnPw&bvm=bv.69137298,d.dGI
install ES File Manager
press "/"
then "system"
then "media".
paste your boot animation there.
take a backup of the original file.
Rename the file to "bootanimation.zip"
reboot the phone and you will be all done.
You can also try this:
Use SP Tools and Stock ROM and try to flash ONLY boot image. Your stock Boot.img will be back.

There is some thread in this XDA, which can change only boot logo with recovery (Zip File). As I am junior member, I cannot post the link. Just search in Magnus Forum, you will find it (it is very simple method).

bootlogo and bootanimation are two different thing and they don't have any relation with "boot.img". TO change bootanimation just simply replace the bootamination.zip set permission to 0664 and reboot.

Thanks for the effort. Boot logo is working, but bootanimation doesn't work (goes all black during boot). Idk, maybe is because of my atempt to change my bootanimation few weeks ago when i've replaced those 3 files with other .qms extension, which messed up my bootanination, + Liveboot from chainfire, which i can't get rid of it anymore. I'll try again after a full wipe and new rom.

Make sure that files have correct attributes. If the overwriting files doesn't work, try to delete them first, copy them and set attributes.

You can simply flash stock S7 splash from OP. Logo is taken from original param.bin
Or https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/s7-edge-sm-g935d-fd-stock-splashscreen-t3382945
This is my own logo

Anyone has an idea, why,
when i flash the bootlogo default s7 it is fullscreen
But as soon as i change something in the image and add it to the zip and flash it, it is not fullscreen anymore
i am using exact same size (i just paste another picture in the original and save)
i tried changing resolutions but that only makes it worse, i just cant seem to make it fullscreen at starup phone if i changed something in the original picture which is hard to understand for me as i didnt change anything to the resolution.
Maybe i need to use another program to edit (i am using Paint. Net)
Thanks for this flash logo, I just wanna request if you can add boot logo with secured by knox. I really appreaciate it. Thank you.
