Could you show a picture of it? I'm abit curious
It might be a corrupted file flashed Onto the Note. Try reflashing it again. It might fix it
Sent from my Note 10.1 using the S Pen handwriting reconnition

Sir when i power on the tablet it gives horizontal lines i flashed this
KIES_HOME_N8000UBCML2_N8000ZTOCML3_N8000UBLL2.tar
and
N8000XXCMF1_N8000OJVCMF1_N8000XXCLL1_HOME.tar

OH MAI GAWD!!!
I think a file gets corrupted when flashing.I never experience this before. But you're lucky you did not brick your device.
I don't know too much of the Note 10.1 hack stuff. But I think it's a kernel of something.
What's the old firmware before all those happened?

The Old Firmware before was XXCMF1

Help Me Any
Please Help Me to restore my flash screen

As you have flashed full firmware its probably hardware .
Based on identical pictures part of the eMMC chip has been damaged .

Is there any solution for that

Seems like bootloader flashed in a faulty way (corrupted download? wrong firmware? some voltage jumps during flash? dunno...)
You're really lucky that it was corrupted in the part concerning the logo, not the functionality - as corrupted bootloader is the only software-related way to REALLY brick the device (bad bootloader = no response, even when plugging charger), in a way which can be repaired only using additional hardware.
My solution is to flash the bootloader again, only. It's not so easy to find one here, so... you can find one here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45934007&postcount=62
Please note that the operation, in case of any errors, may result in a hardbrick described above; I am not responsible for any damage...

I have the same problem on my 8013. I was going to try to Odin back to stock and see what happens but I'm not too terribly worried about it until I sell it. A fix would be nice though. I'll check that thread.

[Q] i9305 pit file missing & i9100 with imie and no sim issues

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and fairly new to android too but have a rough understanding as I would see it compared to most of you.
I have 2 phones here that I have acquired cheaply due to issues (not questionable backgrounds) and done extensive research here and across the net on each of their problems but come to no real conclusions with either one.
Phone 1: Galaxy S2 16gb GT-I9100
Phone operates perfectly... as a mini wifi tablet. Doesn't seem to recognize any kind of SIM I put into it, just gets no signal at all. Baseband, IMEI, IMEI SV, IP Address, etc are all unknown. Signal says 0dBm 99 asu. As far as I can tell from what I have read this is an EFS file problem.
I have tried swapping EFS file with one from another S2 I have, start up with a jig, new rom flashing x2, and have recently got a program call EFS Professional 2.0.70 but have no idea how to use it. I believe you can write an efs file but needs to be in Linux? I have also been told this is most likely a motherboard problem. What is the way to fix this myself if possible or possibly with someones assistance if you feel generous?
Phone 2: Galaxy S3 4G 16gb GT-I9305
One day the phone restarted itself and without showing any boot screen just showed a white screen with coloured dots shaded through it. This screen also happens when attempting recovery mode. I can access download mode. Phone appears in Odin.
I have tried try to flash official samsung release 4.1.2 BLL3 rom I get the error message that: 'There is no PIT partition'.
When flashing just cwm recovery or a kernal with no rom I get the same message. When trying to flash m3xx_i9305.pit I get: 'Get pit for mapping' and it just hangs on that. is this something that would take hours to do or is it just frozen? I also have PIT magic but not too sure how to mess around with that... Should I just get the text readout of the pit file from another i9305 and compare the 2 to make sure it's right? I have been told this will need a JTAG repair but then others have had success. The only thing I haven't been able to try yet is flashing a pit file with the rom as a 3 part file.
A repairer has told me that the S2 EFS problem is a maybe fix and could be the motherboard so not to get my hopes up and has also told me the the PIT problem is a fried flash chip and isn't really fixable.
Another offers JTAG for $60 and a $45 refund if it doesn't work and also an EFS repair service but is on holidays for another month.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated but I have researched this to the best of my ability so please only comment if you really know what you are talking about and have encountered (and fixed) either of these problems.
Thanks,
Regards Evcat

[Solved] Repair a possible brick (Galaxy S 4G) (Bad Flash)

I've flashed quite a few androids with custom ROMs, all successful except one brick was beyond repair. Then my brother asked me to root and flash a custom ROM to his T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G (Model: T959V). So I gave it a shot. Rooting was successful, but trying to get Clockwork Recovery on the phone, it confused me and I definitely messed up. The screen is discolored like a bad tv reception. One picture is what it's currently stuck on, and the other is showing I can still load it into the yellow download screen. My question is, is this fixable? If so, how?

Problem solved thanks to stephen_w here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405489 and chadster214 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183413. Problem solved with Odin 1.85. Give them thanks if you ran into this problem and these people helped you as well.
Glad that you could get things resolved! I hope that you enjoy your "new" phone, especially as you now know how to recover from things. You might want to look at heimdall as well, especially if you start playing with other custom ROMs and kernels.
When you have a chance, if you change the "[Q]" to "[solved]" or the like, people will easily be able to tell that there is an answer on the thread. Perhaps it will be the one they are looking for themselves!

[Q] Galaxy Note 3 completely broken

Hello Guys,
I dont know if such a thread already exists. If so, please refer to it, thanks!
I have a huge problem: I bricked/rooted my SM-N9005 (Galaxy Note 3). Everything was good but then an issue came along the way and I wanted to unbrick it, so I could make use of the warranty. So I downloaded ODIN and found the right version on sammobile.com(N9005XXUENB4_N9005DREENB3_N9005XXUENB1_HOME.tar.md5).
I tried to unbrick it with odin, but failed somehow, and tried again, and failed,... then I had this issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666432
and now it wont start up ANYMORE. Black screen all the way!
I would be very pleased if you had a solution to get it running again, I dont mind wether bricked or unbrickt, I just want to use my Phone again, so please help you guys.
Thank you for your help

Bricked - Stuck on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Screen

Hi,
I bought a bricked Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000 and managed to flash stock firmware and booted correctly except for a strange Watermark on screen which showed device specs. Then I tried flashing German Kitkat version thru ODIN which failed, now the device is stuck on Galaxy Note 10.1 screen even though I have tried flashing ODIN many times and it has shown PASS but doesn't go beyond that. It can't even go get into recovery (only can get to ODIN mode). Please help me as i can't go beyond that even though i have searched a lot google, no one seems to have gotten any solution.
34 views but no suggestion!!! It seems mighty developers never bought this phone to suggest something. It's strange ODIN can flash and shows success (firmware or any recovery) but nothing seems to install and make it boot. Pl someone got some idea?

Have you tried flashing a custom rom?.
Just realised you said it wouldn't go into recovery.
Try flashing from another pc
Which version of ODIN are you using?.
No haven't tried custom ROM but probably this device was never rooted but can give that a try. Yes it won't go into recovery at all. I will give try from another PC. I have tried ODIN v. 1.85 and v3.09.

I think it might be a driver issue with your pc if it won't work with v1.85.
Trying reinstalling the Samsung drivers on your pc.
I flashed stock firmware before with the same PC and it worked and I have tried to use same ODIN and same stock firmware which worked before. Even now ODIN says PASS, infact there is no failure at all but device itself is stuck on "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" splash screen. I have tried restarting PC, using different USB ports but ODIN always says PASS without problem but device condition is same. I think may be i should change firmware/ stock recovery even though previously the same worked. I am at a loss, don't know what to do?
P.S: Edit: as i was writing these comments I thought of trying out same german kitkat version which earlier broke my device and this time it succeeded and at least device has come out of that splash screen though it is still stuck samsung animation screen. so i will try more and will update. any suggestions are welcome. thanks
ok, now it's possible to get into stock recovery at least, although it shows "E:failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)" and " Applied the CSC-code : unknown". What to do now? kindly advise
Finally managed to ODIN a stock firmware to work correctly and device is able to boot but show "Broadband: Unknown". Thanks for your help

Can you check your IMEI if its available in setting/device? If its not your EFS is missing or corrupt.
yes, IMEI is Unknown! that means EFS is corrupt! I know the IMEI, I have the box, how can i restore it?

Thanks a lot for the link. I will go through it deeply and try it out and will come back.
Just some food for thought! Since i bought this device bricked and never knew which firmware it came with and tried different firmwares randomly until i found one that could work only with "Factory Mode". My question;
1. Could it be that I flashed a wrong firmware causing this thing to go Factory Mode?
2. Or must it be corrupt EFS folder?
I am asking because now i rooted my device, it is showing one EFS folder and when i tried to flash Philz recovery over TWRP it gave me error that " This package is for 'c).p4noterf.n8000.GT-N8000' devices; this is a 'p4notewifi'.
E:Unable to mount '/efs'.
Any suggestions? Please
I think this efs folder is generated automatically by the android when it can't find one because when i checked it was an empty folder, nothing inside. so may the issue is of broken efs system folder. Can't create my own IMEI since i have the box and IMEI is written on it.
Does this device use SIM to make calls or just for data download? Couldn't figure out! Is there a simple way to get rid of the "Factory Mode"? may be i don't need all that SIM functionality after all but certainly want to get rid of that "Factory Mode".
Can I try this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39523753&postcount=4
Any suggestions, kindly do suggest if i should do whatever is described in the above post or the ones suggested before written below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2111485
Please advise which method should i try. Awaiting eagerly for input
Is it possible to use following tool to repair EFS?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ol-updated-09-06-14-efs-professional-t1308546
Please suggest me something if someone out there know something?
Finally fixed it by using the thread shown above but i have a fake IMEI but factory mode is no longer there and everything is working normally. Is it possible to change IMEI to my own by using methods i have seen on net including youtube? please advise

[Q] Need help to update Samsung Galaxy S III I9300

Hello folks,
i am new here, i have a problem with one of my friends mobile Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 Android v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), it so happened he dropped the mobile from his hand and from that moment, the device fails to load properly.
I tried to go to Recovery mode, by pressing Power key+DownVol key+Home key. The next screen was all fuzzy, it didn't show anything.
So i tried Power key+UpVol key(this time)+Home key, it showed a warning page, please see images to be more clear.
On continuing with the process, it went to Download mode.
I am little familiar with that process, since it is trying to update the device OS to a newer version of Android.
I did a little research and found out there was Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat available.
I can proceed to download that, but i want to know few things and i.e.,
The device is not Rooted.
CWR is not installed.
Whether it is safe to proceed with the update of Android Ice Cream Sandwich to Android Kit Kat.
I also found Galaxy S III can be updated to 4.3 (Jelly Bean), but i want your opinion which would be suitable for this device.
Thanks.
I do not want to brick my friends device, since i am getting paid to do this stuff. Hence i am requesting any kind of expert advice.
Thank you.
P.S: Any suggestion is welcommed and waiting for any reply impatiencly. Also if the moderator thinks this post must be in some other part of the forum, please do so. :fingers-crossed:
Hello again, i did a little research and found out this site, where it mentions in detail how to install ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.7 on Galaxy S3 GT-I9300
http://trueandroid.com/install-clockworkmod-recovery-6-0-4-7-on-galaxy-s3-gt-i9300-how-to/
I did as mentioned in the tutorial and while opening the Odin, and checking the AP button, and selecting the non touch version of ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.7 ; i am getting this error. Please see the snapshot.
It also say, PIT partition not found, does anyone know how to figure out this problem.
Or
Is it a hardware issue, do i need to change the motherboard or give it to technician to fix it.
First off: Have you tried posting it under the correct category on this forum? its under galaxy core... you have a galaxy S 3
Second, you can update if it stock... custom recoveries and roms do void warranty. That is, if the kitkat is for his phone it is no problem. upgrading wrong rom to your phone will mess with it yes. Boot loops and stuff.
Then again, if it droped I would rather have sent it in for repairs if it was still under the warranty .

I find it quite difficult to find my way in this forum, just newbie here.
But thank you for your concern. My friend has taken the mobile , he thinks its better to repair it by technician.
Enough of head-ache for a device that can't be repaired through updating, the mobile was trashed. Couldn't be salvaged through
updating.

I understand.
On top of the page there are 2 places you can enter stuff, one says "type to find device" and the other for searching all the forums. Writing i9300 - and clicking on the line - will get you the I 9300 forums
