Use this method.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
This will revert everything to stock... you will loose all your data if you perform the whole procedure.. I think this command restores the recovery -
Code:
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Just looking for stock recovery.IMG for XT1034...I have stock ROM backup...just need recovery...

Rename to recovery.img

Yes, but you need to have a recovery already installed.

Read the post above yours.
You need a custom recovery installed to do this.

Use flashify and you don't need adb and fastboot. There was a Google + that explained the whole process.

All of the OTA zips I found are for 4.4 to 4.4.2 or 4.4.1 to 4.4.2.. Which one do I download? Out do I need to return to 4.4 and then upgrade again?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
You can get the Google stock images and extract all the files out. They are tar'd, zipped and gzipped. You need system.IMG for the /system partition, you will also need boot.IMG, and if you want to upgrade your bootloader you will want the bootloader.IMG, if you want to upgrade your radio you will need the radio img

Great app but this isn't an official one.
The XDA thread has been closed and there's no update on Google Play for 2 months.
I don't know if jmz still has other projects... Flashify is also a great app to directly flash the img files without a PC.
I heard that
Code:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
works pretty well...

No need to use Fastboot if you already have a recovery to flash with.

It doesn't hurt to know all the options and procedures. Actually OP would have already known this if he hadn't used a toolkit to root in the first place
-1 for toolkits
But yes, options are:
Fastboot flash img
recovery install zip
Flashify flash img
Thanks to all for the help suggestions , but yeah I used a tool kit which means I don't know how to do it manually that's why I asked for the easiest way to update .

It would be good to learn how to do it manually. It's really pretty easy. And you'll know your phone better and know how to do things yourself.

OTA Question

Hello there
I have a nandroid backup of my Moto G when it wasn't rooted. If I restore the backup and flash the stock recovery image will I be able to install OTA's or will they fail?
Sent from my falcon using Tapatalk
Bump..
Sent from my falcon using Tapatalk
They should install but if not, simply flash the system.img's/boot.img from stock firmware.
