[CM11] SMS & Callout Issue after flashing - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I have recently flash the nightly build (20131226) version of CM11 for my i9003, afterwards, I tried flashing to the latest build (20140110)
I have do wipe factory and cache. But it keep rebooting randomly on using.
Finally, I notice I cannot callout, and even not receiving call in,
also having problem on SMS (both receive and sendout is not working), it show the network is already there.
But funny the network is sometime getting lost.
then I downgrade with clean install to 2.2.1, it still not working, and then upgrade to 2.3.6.
NO working Till now.
Do anyone please help, and suggest? Many Thanks.
I have check the IMEI is correct

Finally, I have factory format, the phone is able to call out and receive call sometime.
But the network signal, always lost.
But still not able to receive/send sms, I have tried to set the SMSC in phone info by *#*#4636#*#* , getting fine on updating and refreshing the correct SMSC, but still not work on receiving and sending.
Really don't know what the problem.
Looking for help, thanks.

To share, I don't know if the phone having learning AI, it is now able to callout (quite a high rate). joking
I try to flash cf-root, and install CM11 nightly build version 20140108, the callout and network seem much more stable.
no network lost incidentally.
But there are still 2 main issue trouble me.
1. randomly reboot suddenly, not at specific action afterward. Really random.
2. not able to receive sms, it is able to send out sms after I enable the option send sms through "IMS" in the phone info "*#*#4636#*#*"
but I think receiving must get thru radio. and my SMSC correct on refresh.
If anyone have any idea and update. Please suggest. Thanks.

[HELP] SMS only goes through after outward call

I flashed CM7 TG reloaded last night and so far I'm loving it! Everything seemed to be working fine at first (i.e.- placed and received calls, sent and received SMS and MMS). After I performed said tests to make sure the ROM was functioning properly I went ahead and began restoring all my previous apps through Titanium Backup. It all went without a hitch until this morning when I tried sending a SMS. I'm using the default messaging app and where the "Sent: x:xx" would be displayed, it instead stays on "Sending...". Incoming SMS messages are also not coming in (I tried sending multiple texts from my gf's phone.) The odd thing is I can send and receive MMS without any issues and the phone will both send and receive delayed SMS if I place a phone call. Also, all incoming phone calls do not get through to me.
So to clarify, I CAN make phone calls and send MMS. I CAN'T receive phone calls or send/receive SMS UNLESS I place a phone call. Any help would be appreciated.
I just did a factory reset on my phone, cleared data/cache, wiped dalvik cache, and reflashed the ROM. I have not restored any of my apps so I'm running a clean install. I'm still experiencing the same issues. If there is a step I'm missing it'd be great to know so I have a fully functioning phone. Should I wipe /system as well or would that not help? I'm open to any suggestions at this point.
One more thing I've observed is that the signal strength stays at -120dBm until I open a call. Once a call is opened I gain signal strength to about -89dBm (this is at home for me) and that's when I receive a swarm of texts and any texts I tried to send prior to calling get sent. Is this any indication of something? If anyone could help, please do. I really don't want to go back to the stock rom haha.
edit: Ok, so if I disable the EvDo network then all of my problems are solved. Obviously I'd like to keep 3G, but this is where I'm at right now.
SAME PROBLEM. Started this past week. Was fine for months on TG reloaded.
I was thinking it was new app related, but you wiped and still have the problem?
I'm not going to wipe if you already tried it.
I'm going to try turning off EVDO and see what happens.
edit: INSTANTLY dozens of missing texts sent/received when going from EVDO only to CDMA only mode!
I am pondering if flashing back to stock ROM and re-running Virgin Activation app would help....
Damn I wish you could run Activation in CM7
So last night I did a little more digging... ended up clearing data and cache on messaging app, powering down, removing the battery for 30 min, powering back up and switching radio to cdma/evdo (vs one or the other).
So far texts / sms are working today, and I have neither made nor received any phone calls. Perhaps incoming are still going straight to voicemail, but I receive very few calls so I will check later.

Things seemed to also work for me when I went into System select (the option in Mobile network settings) and changed the cdma roaming mode from "Home", which was selected by default, to "Automatic". Haven't run into problems since changing that setting.
Well, I found this in the TG-Reloaded thread: "DO NOT use the Titanium Backup App, which can cause more problems"
I flashed mine about a week ago and haven't had any problems.

[Q] MMS not sending since JB update. Stock ROM - HELP!

So ever since I updated to JB I've had trouble sending MMS. I can receive MMS just fine I just can't send. I've searched and searched and have found several posts on several different websites (including this forum) about this issue but none of them have had a solution (or a solution that worked for me) the last thread I read hasn't had a reply since January 10th so i'm posting this question here again so in case someone has found a solution since then.
So here is the problem. When I try to send an MMS I go through the steps of opening my messaging app (I used handcent) and inserting a picture (or screenshot) to a message. I hit "send" and I get the little progress circle and it will just sit there and spin forever. Won't give me an error saying unable to send but it will just sit there and spin and never send. I know for a fact that it doesn't send because I've confirmed with the person i'm trying to send to that they didn't get it. Now if I reboot my phone the MMS will send when the phone restarts. At one point just simply switching to Airplane mode and back got the MMS to send. That does not work any more. Only rebooting the phone will make the MMS send.
Just about every post that I've seen about this gets a reply with "turn your mobile data on" or "make sure you're not on wifi cause it only sends on 3g/4g". I know that you can't send MMS through wifi so that's not the problem. And even if you're on wifi if you send an MMS your phone will automatically kick on the mobile data to send that message. But just to rule that out I have completely turned off my wifi and made sure I had a 4g signal and made sure it was working by going to the internet. So I know the lack of mobile data is not the problem. And yes I have mobile data turned on so that is not the problem either.
I have a Verizon GS3 with the stock ROM. I did root and unlock my bootloader shortly before the JB OTA update was released with plans on installing a custom ROM but never got around to it so i'm still stock. I did not unroot before I did the OTA update.
I have read on some threads that people have called their carrier's tech support (yes, apparently people have had this issue on other carriers) and have done a factory reset at the request of tech support and that has not fixed the problem.
So if anybody has found a solution or come across a solution to this annoying issue please do share. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!

[Q] Resetting Voice+

hi guys,
I enabled Voice+ during the initial setup but quickly realized I now cannot send any SMS out of the phone. (my Carrier number tied to GV is different from my current carrier number.)
I've read up on it and HAVE tried the following-
- Disable Voice+ in Settings>Wireless Networks>More>Voice+
- Uninstall Google Voice app
- Deleted Google Voice cache and app data in Settings>App>All apps
- Deleted app data and force stop Voice+ in Settings>App>All apps
restarted again and again. Yet I still cannot send any SMS out of the phone.
Calling out and receiving calls work fine however. Receiving SMS also works.
I've run out of options and the final solution I realize is to wipe the phone and start a new but this time ignore when they ask for Voice+. However, I would prefer if there was a way to completely wipe or uninstall Voice+, and only Voice+, as an individual app within CM11.
Any other users who experienced the same problem are also welcomed to share your steps to solving this issue.
- EDIT : Problem Solved, Solution below-
So after hours of searching and troubleshooting, I finally gave up and factory reset the phone from Recovery. After setting it back to how it was before without installing Google Voice and without enabling Voice+, SMS STILL WOULDN'T SEND!!
Now I figure the problem might be something else, I switched SIM card back to my old phone and sure enough, SMS would not send.
Then I went into *#*#4636#*#* and checked the SMSC, Googled my carrier's SMSC and change it to that, hit Update, Refresh, Reboot.
Works just as it should now. Turns out, SMSC (short message service center) number was messed up somehow, I might have changed it to something else in the beginning of troubleshooting this issue before disabling and uninstalling the apps.
Protip/TLDR : Google YOUR carrier's SMSC number and change it to that if you're having a problem like mine.
Cheers, Problem solved. Please close thread.

Nexus 5 on Sprint is no longer sending or receiving SMS

My phone has suddenly decided to no longer send or receive sms at all on Sprint. I've been running Sabermodded SlimKat for months with no issues whatsoever and just the other day SMS suddenly stopped. It says the text sends in any messaging app I use but it never actually seems to send. If I try to text myself to test it also I get no messages back when though it says they all send. The weird thing is MMS is working fine, I can send myself pictures and any one of my contacts, but I do not see their SMS messages or my own, none are getting through. I tried wiping and flashing over to 5.0 (Cataclysm) instead and I still cannot send sms. I've tried updating my PRL and Profile many times, Reflashing a flashable Sprint APN zip, manually setting APN in hangouts, messenger, textra, qksms etc. I've tried flashing different radios on 4.4.4 (before I flashed 5.0 now I just have the final L preview radio) and I have even tried removing the sim card and rebooting before placing it back in. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I am at a loss.
Try downgrading to 1x only and see if it works?

Just tried it, sms still isn't going through, 1x only 3g only or LTE only.
Might try going back to the stock rom and seeing if it works then. That would probably be the easiest way to make sure it isn't the device or the rom you are using.
Are you able to make calls?
Does the data connection work still?
Was texting removed/blocked on your account?

Did you take an OTA? Update to Lollipop? If so, you may need to flash the Sprint fix.
After a lot of trial and error I ended up calling sprint since I've never had just sms fail while mms still worked. Turns out my MIN number wiped itself (somehow?) and have since gotten it resolved. Sadly I don't really have the slightest idea how it happened since I had been using the same kitkat rom as my daily driver for months. Thanks for the suggestions and attempts to figure out what was wrong.

G965U can receive text, but can't send.

So here's what I have going on. I have a G965U that came with Verizon FW. I use a company that runs off of the Sprint/T-Mobile network. I was able to make and receive calls, although they were taking a bit to connect, and I could receive texts, but was unable to send or reply to text. I got it to work a coupe times, but it would only work for a short time. I was also getting a msg a few times a day that my sim card is not a Verizon sim.
I've tried different apn's with no luck, and the phone won't allow me to save the current apn settings from the carrier's site.
I flashed the FW to XAA U1, and the sim card msg is gone, but I still have the problem with texting. The only way to get it to work has been a software update, a factory reset, or flashing new FW, but they all still resulted in it only working for a short period. I just wiped the cache through recovery and will see what it does.
Any ideas what may be happening, and what I can do if the cache wipe doesn't help?
Hint: Add Samsung G965U to this tread's title thus mainly owners of such phone get addressed.
I should add that I also found a post online that said it's a network setting conflict, and to turn off wifi, download and install Google Messages, give full permissions, and setup chat, and that it would fix it, and then you could use Google Messages, or delete it and use the stock app. I tried that, and it did not work.
So far it's still working after 40 minutes. Usually I can only get 2-3 text sent before it stops.
