Slightly offtopic but!
T-Mobile Aka Deutsche telekom are making movies!?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waEjp54wOuY
Just randomly found that and its been produced by T-Mobile (Deutsche telekom) by the looks of it
Not in English but there comes a part in the intro where it says A T-Mobile Production
heres a trailer in English http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g00Xb7GftEs
Looks like they want to be more than just a wireless carrier they want to be like Virgin Mobile where the brand is really in-depth for example

Which is the best phone to purchase for use in the U.S. on ATT wireless network? xda2 imate mdaII? I am a newbie so if addressed previously give me a break. I had a sx56 previously and am interested in upgrading.
They really are the same machine, so all will work equally well in the US. I think that O2 adds a good bit of software on the XDA II that will be useless with AT&T. The MDA II is a T-Mobile (Germany) branded device and the previous statement may be true of it as well.
I went with the i-mate, and I believe it has less provider-specific software than any of the others (the QTek 2020 is the same device as well). I have been happy with the quick release of updates on the Club i-mate website and very happy with the device.
The important thing to make sure of with any of these devices is that it is unlocked - that is, not locked to a specific provider (phone company).
And if it is locked..is cheaper.
Then you can unlock it and chnage from I-mate,O2,T-Mobile companies when you want.
Picked up the O2 Graphite from Thailand over the weekend. Would it be possible to create a new forum for the phone ? Will post a little mini review of the phone
O2 graphite is an Asus.. we have great discrimination on non-HTC devices or else, the site may have been flooded with devices from HP, Asus, Treo.. although we have an exception of the Atom.
BTW I think there are folks who are looking at P525 cooked ROMs, etc on the forums. Not a problem. Just wanted to inform people about the new smartphone phone - its pretty a solid offering and beats the Breeze - but like most Windows devices, its not without it own oddities. Thanks
Someone knows if the 3G function will work in Israel (Orange Network)?
I think the Graphite is working on 2100 mHz, right? Whats it in Israel?
Orange Israel rep. told me they don't hand 3g sim cards to be installed in phones they do not market. You don't actually have to buy the phone from them it just has to be a model they work with. And since they don't sell any windows mobile smartphones they wouldn't give me a 3g sim card :-(
I live in Australia and I'm thinking about buying a Touch Pro from USA since it seems cheaper. I was wondering is there anything I have to look out for that might stop it form working here. Eg. Network issues.
I'm thinking about this one
Hi,
The phone in the link operates on the CDMA network, you'll want the GSM version (the one that uses a simcard). It is also network locked and will need to be hacked/unlocked.
Very cheap though...
Thanks
Some of them say A & T service required for some of the features. What does that mean?
you don't really need to "hack" it. just get someone to create your unlock code for you. you can get it here on xda or even ebay. I believe olinex can provide you the unlock code for a price. I can gaurantee that these guys here at xda are very helpful so dont' worry about that too much.
you should think about what band your provider in aus is using.
Good luck!
EDIT: those "features" are ATT specific and you can make those disappear. check the links on "unbloating" your phone. It's pretty annoying but it does not do anything for your phone if you don't use ATT's network. Check out the thread on flashing for beginners. Read it carefully and if you have questions, be very specific.
Thanks for the help. I been using a jasjam (hermes) with a flashed rom but the hermes is in bad condition so thinking about getting a new phone.
Dood, I'm in Aus and also upgraded to Touch Pro from JasJam.
A warning. You will not get Telstra NextG video calls. The touch pro does not operate on Telstra's band. Just in case you were/are a Telstra man...
Also, you should be able to ebay a cheap as new unit in Australia... I've seen many go for under $300.
A brand new phone for less that $300???
What are you searching "HTC touch pro"?
Touch Pro or Fuze in Australia?
Mate, check the 3G/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA frequencies used by your provider!!!
The TP AND the Fuze will work AS PHONE in almost any GSM network (beside some Asian countries i.e. Japan) since they are 4 band GSM devices. However, using the benefits of high speed data aka 3G you have to check which band your provider is using. AFAIK Telstra is using 850/1900 which matches the ATT US network while t-mobile and the std. TP use 900/2100. IF you are with Telstra get a Fuze and it will work. People here in the US buy the HD (not offered here in the US by ATT) in Australia to operate it in the US network.
Good luck and don't get screwed.

Welcome to forums
Right, CDMA phones are only used in US and a few Latin American countries, the rest of the world uses GSM.
Some of CDMA devices have also the chance to insert a normal SIM card, not sure if your devices can...
If not I guess that link will save you from being connected while traveling on GSM world.
Hi all, I am a newbie *waves*
Got a question I can't seem to find on the internet, so I thought I would joing this forum to see if anyone can help.
I have an HTC HD2 using "Windows Mobile 6.5", on a contract, which I am going to cancel as I am well outwith my contractual agreement on the T-Mobile network in the United Kingdom.
My girlfriend and I are going travelling for a year, to numerous countries, including most of Europe, USA, Nepal, India, most of South East Asia and Australia. I am wondering if it is possible to use my HTC HD2 abroad, by unlocking from the T-Mobile network (not sure if that is the right terminology, sorry) so I can buy pay as you go Sim Cards from different networks in the countries above to keep costs down.
I was also informed that some phones do not work in certain countries because of tri-band, quad-band issues, again I am not clued up if the HTC HD2 will work in other countries, so any help on the matter would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Norman.
