[Q] Htc one x with cm 10.2 question - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hello,
I am posting here to ask you a question about my htc one x. I have unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone, and flashed cm 10.2. Now i want to find a kernel to flash tha can overclock my cpu (i prefer if its up to 1800 mhz) What can i use and whats the right way to do it? Is there a need of repacking the kernel before flashing it? Thank's

Do you have the HTC One X (Endeavoru) or the HTC One XL / at&t One X (Evita)? If you have the Endeavoru you're in the wrong forum.
If you have the Evita the Torched kernel is compatible with cm10.2, just make sure you download the jb version. All you need to do is install it through recovery. You'll find it in our Original Android Development section.

CleanROM 4.1 for One X

I'm kinda new on these forums so first of all - hi! Just got the One X (the International version with nVidia's Tegra 3), unlocked the bootloader and installed the twrp recovery 2.2.0 but I don't know if I can install the CleanROM 4.1 for the AT&T because it is for the One X with the S4 chip and not the Tegra one, if some one could be kind enough to help me out I would be really grateful!
Cheers!
unfortunately no. Wont boot.
better off sticking w/ the international rom forum.
International forum is best bet...
My "WCX" dominated HTC One X
Thank you for being smart enough to ask BEFORE flashing and (potentially) soft bricking your phone!

[Q] ViperX/XL

So right off the bat I have very little knowledge of rooting and flashing roms. I did however successfully unlock, root and flash CM10 onto my AT&T HOX a few months ago. I want to try out the ViperX rom but after reading the install instructions I noticed that I needed to have HBOOT 1.31 or higher and I have 1.14. The only way to get the higher HBOOT is to have a compatible CID # from what I can tell mine isnt on the list included in the link that they posted. Is it really required? What would be my options if I wanted to change to the ViperX/XL Rom?
Thanks in advance!

you might be in the wrong forum what phone do you have one x or one xl viper x is for the international version while viper xl is for the one xl
You are trying to link ViperX in the Development forum for the Tegra 3 quad core version of the One X (ENDEAVORU). Completely different hardware. Flash anything for that version, and you might brick your phone. If you are on any forum page that doesn't say "AT&T" in the forum title, you are in the wrong place (quad core forum).
You want ViperXL: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868236
Thats the help I was looking for thanks guys appreciate it!

Is the VIPER XL Compatible with my HTC?

I have a HTC one x from rogers,Canada and im not sure if its considered the international version? I don't want to brick my phone so my Jelly Bean - Android 4.2.2 / Sense 5 ViperXL 4.0.0 compatible with my rogers htc one x?
Wrong place too ask should of been in q&a section!!!!And yes you can flash viper4.0 but i would read up first so you know exactly what too do!!!
Sent from my HTC One!!!
no offense but if i were you i wouldn't be flashing anything. i'm assuming you don't know your way around an adb enviro. is your device rooted? bootloader unlocked? s-off?
read up and become familiar with these things then flash away
Also become familiar with forum rules, as posting this kind of question in a development section is asinine. Mods, can you move this to the proper place

works works works...HTC One XL is basically the north american versions of HTC One X. viperxl roms work on rogers, telus, at&t and telstra One X. so go ahead flash it. you wont brick your phone. dont forget to back up the stock ROM. good luck
OP please read the Forum Rules on posting....
