AOKP Navigation bar issue - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, all!
I installed AOKP ROM with JB 4.1.2 on my P5100. Everything is fine except the navigation bar. I can't make it to increase the quantity of bar buttons. Also it doesn't change the functions of the default buttons (I tried to replace the Back button with the Search button, but it only changed in option list and not in actual bar).

[Q] No more nav buttons

Ok, here we go. I'm new to android and I recently installed CM10 on my P3100. Since it was having issues with the nav buttons, I decided to look for a solution and I found this one

I copied the systemUi.apk to /system/app and rebooted, however my navigation buttons and stats bar are now gone. What should I do?

[Q] Lock Navigation bar on custom rom (like stock)

Hi
I just went from Stock 4.0.3 to Team EOS 4.2.1. Everything seems to work, but Im missing the "lock navigation bar" feature.
I know it's a ASUS specific feature. It says ASUS "something" setting
Fore those not familiar with this feature: You get a new button on the navigation bar. swipe it - and it lock the navigation bar, so you dont accidental push any of the buttons while e.g playing games or watching movies. Swipe it again and it unlocks the bar.
It is a big problem for kids not to hit e.g. home or back buttons while playing.
Are there any apps, hidden settings or custom roms that makes this possible

U can hide the nav bar on this awesome ROM
Long press the power button and press the last option... Better then lock

Thanks mate
Yes that is a better solution, I agree.
I did rummage around the settings. found a lot of settings related to nav/status bar, but never quite what I was after.
Android can be quite difficult because all the feature and setting and that they change from version to version and ROM to ROM.
But its also the freedom we love, i guess

[Q] Xylon ROM [4.2.2] HTC One XL Nav Buttons wrong association?

Hi, obviously I'm new to posting on the forum but I've been reading this forum for many months, just S-Off'd my One XL earlier today and installed the unofficial Xylon 2.3.3 A6 Experimental Build 3
This is an incredible ROM with one gripe... I can't find a way to change the Navigation Bar settings properly. Ideally I'd have the back button be 'back', the home take me to the home screen and the recent apps button bring up the menu with one press and recent apps for a long press. This is oddly not the case, holding the home button brings up the recent apps instead and holding the recent apps button yields nothing and I've searched the forums, read through the official thread, can't find a way to change this. I've gone into Xylon Tools in Settings and the only nav bar options only change the optional on-screen Nexus nav bar which I obviously don't want since I've already got capacitive buttons for that.
Other than this one problem, this ROM is golden from what I can tell.
TL;DR - how do I change the nav bar buttons on the Xylon ROM, only

[Q] Menu and screenshot button at navigation bar

Is it possible to add menu and screenshot button to navigation bar of rooted galaxy tab 2.
Btw I was using slim beans 8 package and this option was easily available, right now im using adi sshd v4 , but there seems to be no tweak for navigation bar.

Changing Softkeys

Hi All
i recently decided to install and try out MIUI on my Nexus 5. So far im liking it but the only thing that irks me out is the softkeys
Currently MIUI has the 4 softkeys at the bottom (Menu, Back, Home, Opened Apps) and i want to change the softkeys so that they resemble the ones found in AOSP/Stock Android
So
1) How would i be able to invert the home and opened apps softkey
2) How do i remove the menu button
3) How do i increase the transparency of the softkey bar
I never used MIUI but it seems you need WSM tools to be able to use Xposed framework.
Then install XBlasttools, Softkey Navbar and so on... You can also remap the buttons through Gravitybox I think.
More details here.
