its possible you could overclock it if 1.6 is not enough for you, performance control would be the best bet, it has Governors and I/o schedulers on it so you can get better battery if you need. titanium backup for uninstalling bloatware, cleanmaster with root clears out even more, i would also check out xposed framework if you want to mess around with all the options in there, i see that its Jellybean so i would recommend Gravitybox, tons of tweaks there i love to make all my stuff transparent xD

In the Prerequisites of the app it says
Code:
- You have working custom recovery allowing you to make a backup before installing Xposed framework
^But im not sure if my device supports a custom recovery. how do i tell? and what are the risks? if it isn't compatible can i brick it?

have you downloaded android adb drivers? that would probably fix it.
I believe the universal driver works for this tablet. Just had someone ask me about it. Seemed to work for them.
If all else fails try Google.

Hi!
I've installed the latest stock ROM for my device, and rooted. Also, I've setup everything exactly how I want it. Unluckily, my device is not supported by ClockworkMod. How can I make a working backup/clone of my Android installation?
Thanks!
What device do you have? Sometimes (usually) there are unofficial CWM ports or other recoveries

I have a iBerry Auxus AX02. It's a 7-inch ICS-running tablet from an Indian company. It's not that popular anywhere. As far as I can tell, it was manufactured in China. Also, there are no custom ROMs for it or anything. But, it can be rooted via "unlockroot" - which I have successfully done.
I know that there aren't any unofficial ports for it yet. Anyway, where can I find a list of these ports?
What other 'recoveries' can I use?
Thanks!
Read here and here. Note that the 2nd link is specific to a different device, but it helps to read more.

Hi!
Okay, I read through them, thanks! I'll get back to you on those later.
Also, a person using the same tablet as mine, has compiled a rooting guide and stuff. - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620356
According to him, installing Busybox causes boot-up/hang issues. I don't have the time to confirm this, since if true I'll have to reinstall the stock ROM and spend more time setting it up.
Any ideas as to what can cause these issues? AFAIK, Busybox just installs support for Root commands into the Android shell, right? How does that affect the device?
Thanks!
Yeah, I agree with you about Busybox. I think the issue has to be with the installer; what exactly is it doing to install busybox? That will probably explain why it messes up your tablet.

Yeah, though I don't have any idea about what exactly the installer does. I'm a bit busy this week, so I'll probably install Busybox on my device in a few days and see what happens, and research a fix. Weird though, because that's the most popular Busybox installer on the market...

Before flashing Cyanogenmod I really need to install ClockWorkMod? Because when I press power + volume some kind of pre-installed CWM appears and do have all the function I need (wipe/factory reset, select update from sd card etc) Can't I Install Cyanogenmod from there?
Sorry if I have bad english
Yes, you do need to install CWM. Also meaning of pre-installed CWM, it is Samsung Stock Recovery. It is very easy method to get CWM on your note.

Thanks for answering! I got it, but I have another doubt, If I install Cyanogenmod in my device, I will have lower graphics in-game? Something like no developer optimisation for my ROM (no antialiasing, poor texture quality etc)? Or This depends of the device not the ROM?
flashing CWM also is very important because it has Backup and restore options which are not included in stock recovery
1st thing I do for years is taking nand backup to restore in case on any failure (which happens alot with trying roms and mods)

Get Apex launcher or one of the other launchers available. Easy to theme and remains stock.
I don't believe you should have problems in games as the cm10 team use the aosp or aokp rom. Straight from google like on the nexus series. They then tweak and theme as they please...

Yep, that should be ok... Root and CWM first then CM10...
Just a suggestion, in ODIN untick "reboot". This way you can go to recovery before it reboots and changes back to stock recovery... It does this so you do need to boot to recovery afterwards manually. volume up + power until logo appears then release power button... Then you can flash CM10 but make sure to follow all the steps...
Oh yeah, in ODIN, DON'T TICK REPARTITION... You will end up with a big problem if you do...

UPDATED THREAD
Hey, guys. So here it is:
ROOT + TWRP
Smart Ultra 7 ONLY !
NEW TWRP VERSION: 3.1-0
_____________________________________________________
HOW TO ROOT ? :
This nethod will break OTA, so for update you must use SUGAR.
1) Download TWRP and SPFT from my PAGE and place it on desktop.
2) Download these files and put them on your SD CARD: SuperSU_1 and SuperSU_2
3) Turn off your phone and run SP FLASH TOOL.
3) When the SP FLASH TOOL starts, select MT6755 scatter file and MTK_AllinOne_DA.bin file (they are in SPFT folder)
4) Select ONLY recovery and load the TWRP_3.X.X file. (X.X means a version of TWRP)
5) Press download.
6) Connect your powered off phone to PC via USB cable.
7) After flashing the TWRP, hold VOLUME UP + POWER to boot into TWRP.
8) In TWRP press "INSTALL" and flash the boot patch - SUPERSU_1 and then flash root - SUPERSU_2.
9) Reboot and enjoy.
KingRoot Fidelity
Is it safe to root with KingRoot? Have been trying to figure out the best way root this phone for two weeks now, and trying to avoid KingRoot all this time.
Can you replace the KingRoot Binaries and Root Management Tools with the SuperSU ones?
Will Xposed Framework work on this phone? Really want AdAway, Greenify and Xposed Tweaks on the Vodafone Smart Ultra 7.
Thanks!
You can replace kingroot with supersu thanks to this app:
http://download.dlapk.org/?apkid=darkslide.com.supersume&ver=6.7&server=snah
I did not try the xposed yet.
But it should work properly.
Thanks for the reply,
I still feel skeptical about KingRoot, and there are reports that indicate that replacing KingRoot with SuperSU isn't that easy either, KingRoot seems to completely deny root once altered or removed, which makes it look even more shady, I really want root on this phone, there are tweaks I would love to do such as dpi change, remove the vodafone label on the statusbar and more, but I don't know if I'm willing to use KingRoot in the process. I'm used to SuperSU and Xposed Framework working flawlessly, so I'm really 'scared' on this one.
Thanks

Don't give up just yet, I do understand your desperation, as I feel almost the same as you, but you'll see someone will find a way, at least I hope...
This phone its awesome for its price point, and would be absolutely marvelous with all the tweaks and adjustments root brings to the table.
Who knows, maybe we'll have a full developed phone (custom ROMs, root, recovery, all of that good stuff), we can only wish someone works on it... :highfive:

I don't really know what can be different or wrong, but I've done everything right, I even used USB debugging to change my phone's DPI trough Android SDK...

I didn't, the phone came as it is out of the box, no software updates were made...
I guess we've found the issue, if the software versions don't match, that means everyone with yours (120FKN1) can root with KingRoot, and everyone with mine (060FFN1) can't...
I've got an issue in my hands I see...
