Unfortunately nobody is paying attention... Its a shame really...
People need to learn how the sub-forums work. Development is named Development for a reason. But, i'm just stating the obvious now... Let's hope people notice this and start using the Dev thread for Dev purposes only... Cheers!

Hey, I am using Mounts2SD with oc at 748 , I am getting random reboots , posiblly because of the kernel , When there are random reboots sometimes it gets stuck at the galaxy fit screen!

OC does that in CM11... It may be also due to issues of S2e. That doesn't work as usual anymore in kk. These bugs: external storage, camera video, art, wakelocks, +many, were present in SGS and SGS2. It may be hardware specific issues but maybe something is similar... I'll search the forums and ask around to see if maybe I inspire yajnab. However, now he has to study something else

Well... This was created 2 days ago... Mainly the "problems" discussed on the dev thread are something like "on my fit the xxx doesn't work with this ROM. Does yours!?" type of thing...
I'm not a dev but if I were I would be interested in that type of stuff... However, it depends on the dev's preference so, no arguing here.
I totally understand the need of it. Yajnab works hard for us and so he has to save time by reading only important stuff.
Ok, we do have now a general thread in which I can say whatever... So I'm using it.
Anyhow, what should and should not be considered as development related!? Let's say eg we find a cool feature that can make our fit shine like gold (stupid thing) is that development or general discussion!?
I read the rules, I gladly read all OPs (no matter if I flash that ROM or not) but never found something clear of what is what...
It should be a sticky somewhere I missed!?

I agree to a certain point...

Guys what are your rom settings to get it fast and smooth? cuz i get some lags...

How much internal memory is available in this rom?

Hi people. Are there any noticeable changes in the latest nightlies!? I've seen some updates on jerkins... Anything new!?
In my opinion this ROM is great but if I install gapps (whatever) it starts getting sluggish... Also, I almost never touch my Fit and it's getting discharged in 2 days (dead). With any other I got like 5 days... (Again I am not using the phone, no data, no WiFi, no phonecalls)

I got 110 mb free at first boot. You can install Data2SD script from dev thread and the internal won`t be an issue anymore ( as long as you have a partioned SD card )
Read the posts about sd-ext.

While the Data2SD script will move data to the sd-ext partition and the script mentioned in the development thread works, will it prevent the /system partition becoming full as more apps are installed?

Have you installed Data2sd script successfully?? I read somewhere that it requires kernel to support ini.t . does new alpha 5 has support for it? because i am still on aplha 3. inability of cm11 for apps2sd forcing me to stay with my current boring ROM. Please tell me if u have managed to do it successfully.

On Windows MiniTool or you flash back to CWM5 and partition from recovery then flash back to CWM6

Link2SD is the most stable sd-ext app but it does not move app data so at some point when you install many apps you will get internal full

Alpha 5 has kernel support for the script to work. Just install the latest every time, and not from the thread OP post as that is not updated properly, search beni in Jenkins

actually i have not enough time to make some screenshots....wait some minutes and flash the rom
you need gingerbread baseband installed.
Nice to see some real development work, not just a quick abandonware kitchen job like some other 'roms' we've seen lately...
If you could list the major differences between our stock P500 rom and the Optimus Net rom you have developed in the first post (you probably already plan to anyway) that would be great and probably save a bunch of questions later (probably not with some...)

[ROM] CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies (4.2.1)

CyanogenMod 10.1 (4.2.1)
There are currently no threads on here with the cyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies so ill give you the link for you to try Android 4.2.1;
http://get.cm/?device=n7100
I found it about a week ago and tried it for a few days and the main glitch which I noticed was it would sometimes crash after you made a phone call. But thats all I noticed.
I am off course not the maker of this rom so don't thank me for it lol. Credit goes to the team behind the project.
The link goes straight to the download page of the rom so just choose the latest and it will be the usuall to intall ie. 1. Cwm 2. Factory reset 3. Wipe cache 4. Wipe dalvik cache. Enjoy!
I am not reaponsible if this bricks your phone as it wont if you follow the steps correctly. If you post all the issues you are having with the rom ill see about getting them to the team responsible for develpment to help iron out the bugs.
Also, flash gapps right after ROM flash

Yeah. The nice thing about Paranoid is it is based on CM10, so once CM has everything fixed, PA will most likely have everything fixed. It takes a long time to download the repo. Glad I have 15Mbps Internet, though this makes me wish it was even faster.

The first: thank you for posting here. You have been one of the few users, that understands the purpose of this thread.
In the repositories there are many pending changes. For this reason, there is no valid rom with date "March 7th", is smarter wait a few days to install the rom.
We do not wish to delay the changes, but these must be properly tested. When these changes can be considered validated, will be communicated to all users.
Thank you.

In the repositories there are many pending changes. For this reason, there is no valid rom with dated March 7, is smarter, wait a few days to install the rom.
We do not wish to delay the changes, but these must be properly tested. When these changes are approved, will be communicated to all users.
Thank you.

:good::good::laugh: I'm really happy . And feel grateful that we have hardworking people like you, ninjah ,stevodo and all . I just started this work and now I felt how difficult it it indeed . Make changes compile than flash and all that stuff is pain in ...... . I'll give my best to again make custom rom of CM10 -AOKP - PA . Least I'm capable of now :silly:
Maybe we should start a thread for specifically for reporting bugs in co10 builds. That way it keeps the porting thread cleaner. Maybe in the orignial post for it, put an outline of how to report bugs, like build name/date, issue(s) reporting, logcat attachment /pastbin, etc.

There is no point. People do not want to understand the reasons that is requested write messages in one or another thread.
Every day that passes I am more convinced that writing in our threads is like preaching in the dessert.
For my part suggest that users who really want to contribute to this project visit http://www.devsnest.com.
P.D. Sorry to be so negative, but today people with their lack of education has put me grumpy.
Greetings.

Yeh i know, not implemented yet.
Hi @Alberto96, as I said in the CM general discussion thread I have noticed a buzz in the earpiece even with not in a call. I found that it's a know defect at least for Nexus 4 (https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=39936). But, while searching about this I found something about in call sound quality in droidforums.net (http://www.droidforums.net/forum/an...better-call-audio-how-change-voice-codec.html), it suggests to use another voice codec. I know the thread is old (2009), but I hope it can help.
Edit: Also found this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611599, relating the problem to kitkat update.
I don't know if it's a bug, but in some submenus of some configs when I press back or touch in the up left corner to go back for previous menu don't work, they just go for general config menu.
Example: Config. -> Screen and lights -> notification led if I press back it open Screen and lights menu again but themes menu and maybe some others don't work like this, it open Config menu directly.
How to restore CM apps
Hello everyone,I flashed CM 11 a couple of days ago and after that I flashed PA Gapps (Art + Dalvik) I knew that they would overwrite CM's apps but now I'm not satisfied with the apps and I want to restore to CM apps, what should I do?I tried reflashing CM rom but it didn't work.I also tried disabling gapps and installing CM apps and this also didn't work.

Do this (Recovery):
- Format /system
- Reinstall CM ROM
- Do not flash Google Addon

If you format only /system you don't need to do a backup. You aren't formatting /data where user apps/settings are located

Is a partition filesystem that many users with 16gb or greater microsd cards uses. Check on Google "exFAT FileSystem"

- huh?! no one?
- well, i've thanked you here, here, and here - without even downloading. you deserve them for your efforts.
i'm not a big fan of custom roms. but, if they can run gravitybox and onb app fine, i'll be happy to try. :good:
- i posted a query and, since i wanted more clarity, also sent a pm. waiting.....

Hello Sir,
with all respect i was not talking about u
try to understand me and i was working on ur query only.
I read whole thread of yuweng sir here
i made 4 files following this guide.
It took lot of mine time to understand and implement.
i flashed it.
it shows boot and recovery 11mb but it refuse to boot in any recovery more than 6 mb.
so its of no use.
I am trying for other method to make new uboot.
all my roms can run gravitybox jb/kk as xoposed can be installed (only delvik chache but)
I havnt got time to test ur app cause of it as i need to format and reflash and format whole things again and again.
try to understand me.
I feel ur app for kitkat behaves as if its cm11 where ur internal/external card read as data/media.
i need to see it properly.
as ur app works on clone device where ther is storage issue if u flash xolo rom.
its the uboot issue again.
This is my preliminary diagnosis.
I already answered for ur query here.

what are you able to make of this post? it mentions a way "for everybody that wants TWRP for their 6MB device without repartitioning their phone".
why don't you pursue that link? and, maybe discuss with the 'poster'? we might get a twrp for our device. :fingers-crossed:

the res folder in recovery ie merely 300-400 kb and its going to get reduce to 200 kb after recovery comilation as its getting compressed. the kernel size always matters, as it large in our phone further updates will lead to large recovery.
i already used small pics in current TWRP recovries and the size is almost 6 mb.
so even if we move these files to sd card it wont change anything cause already recovery was 6.2 mb i reduced res folder to 200 kb and removed supersuer (150kb).
so this method will give u superuser by moving res to sd card.
the superuser provided will install binary and u need to download superuser from playstore and then root, which may not work in kitkat, so i decided to remove su.
So i was behind increasing the recovery partition and make it boot which will give us fredoom to have recovery upto 12mb size but sadly it not booting when recovery is more than 6mb.
