Is there a 4.4 ROM out there for SAMSUNG NEXUS S that has the transparent status bar enabled? I've tried on a couple ROMS a framework that was made for them that added it, but it would make my device go into a boot loop. I also have tired many tweaks apps but couldn't get the transparent status bar... Any suggestion?
You can try setting ro.config.low_ram to false in the build.prop, or in the latest kitkang you can enable high end graphic effects under performance settings.

flash attempt failed - stated it is for hltexx device (which i have) might need to remove the check in updater script for now
edit - i removed the check waiting for device restore then i can try again will update
edit2- no go reflashed after removal of check, flashed fine however device went straight to odin download mode.. sm-n9000 is the exynos device and not the sm-n9005 (hltexx) must be something else

Changed the updater-script. And replaced the boot.img with the Cyanogenmod one. It boots.

initial impressions are good after the changes - seems a little less laggy (probably placebo) than cm11...
Removed android tweaker with titanium back up as it FC.. also get a FC of systemui on boot completion
had a drama with root so.. full wiped flashed rom, gapps and supersu 1.80.. booted, updated supersu app from playstore then updated binary using twrp method from the app itself and it fixed that

Thats probably because your on Philz or TWRP recovery....it only works on original CWM recovery though

Thank you Rastigo. Your theming work is awesome. You're a very responsive developer who doesn't shout down noobs like me. This thread will be essential for those like me who forgot to keep a copy of system stock files.
@rastigo, do you think it would be a good idea to mention (something that should have been obvious to me) that when flashing these systemUI files, one ought to revert their device to as close to stock first by disabling xposed modules or any mods that alter the systemUI files like navbar and such? So as to avoid systemUI FCs on reboot.

It would be a very good mod, but I don't think so unfortunately.
I have a theme (Stock Lollipop v2) that can change the navigation bar buttons to fully match AOSP.
