Seeing poor wifi connectivity post flash, anybody else seeing this?. Tends to manifest as regular drop outs. Unfortunately reallylimitedthe usability of the rom for me and had to go to kk 4.3.
Did you set the wifi regulatory domain correctly ?
No issues with wifi here
Apologies for dumb question. Where/when is that set?
Settings > Wifi > 3 dots Menu (Top right) > Advanced > Change Wifi Regulatory Domain
Done after the install when it first boots
I use CH13 for my wifi, and the TF can't see that channel until I choose "EMEA and Rest of World" as my domain > reboot

Great thanks. I certainly hadn't set it previously, so it would have been the default value. Think I'll wait for the next stable 4.4 release to come out (once I've done my back ups on 4.3 :^) ) and try it again. The inner geek in me wants to be on 4.4.....
As an aside, can I ask a quick question? On 4.2 when the SD disc is mounted it shows up in the activity box (top left). On my installs of 4.3 & 4.4 it doesn't (shows that it is preparing the sd when inserted, but not subsequently). Is this normal behaviour? Was this dropped by google or was it an Asus specific inclusion?
Hmm not sure, Tim the dev would be best to answer that for you, when I was running 4.2.2 I was using the Tablet UI mode which has all the notifications at the bottom right and rarely removed the MicroSD Card, I generally only use it for Nandroid backups and copying ROMs to via FTPServer app so it normally just stays put

How to turn off the about:debug menu options? When I see the about:debug menu's I just type about:debug in the browser and it disappears for a short period. After some browsing/few minutes I check the menu and its back again!?
So how do you get rid of the about:debug menu options without having to do it every few minutes.
I have done a factory reset, re-flashed prime 1.8.4 with formatting cach, /system, /data first (with all these steps the internal storage still contained my stuff :S).
(added question... is there a way to format the internal storage other then just select all and then delete?)
I found out it's part of prime. I must have overseen it somehow? In prime 1.9 (I asked this when I had 1.8.4) in the futures list its clearly stated.

Just flash the browser from another rom or use another rom to get rid of the debug menu.
Can I also ask what is the problem with the menu being always on?

I previously thought that with debug mode on it would add special debug-UI elements while just browsing (but that doesn't happen until you activate something in debug mode). So yes, I can live with it staying on .
Android "JellyBean" version 4.1.2 is rolling out for Verizon RAZR, RAZR Maxx and RAZR HD and other models and an unadvertised feature is finally enabled; the Message Access Profile (MAP) and the Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP, PBA).
If you have a limited Bluetooth phone like mine, you probably experienced that the Office functions are limited, getting Text only if you are lucky. To get the feature on Motorola RAZR, in Android, check Settings > About Phone and see if you have an update available. The working version is shown here.

Once you have it installed, re-pair the phone to Bluetooth in your BMW and during the pairing process watch your phone for permission dialogs to allow the two BT profiles. You should see this when the update is installed in the About Phone screen.
On the Control Display you see a new option like this:
And your messages look like this:
This may seem like no big deal if you have another phone that works, but for those who have been suffering without having an email reader (yes it uses text to speech on emails) it is a welcome feature. Email can show multiple accounts.
If you want to try getting an early release of this update, try this link: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...original-verizon-droid-razr-how-to-keep-root/
Calendar, Notes and Tasks are still not working however there may be a patch for that also.
Alternatively, you can take another approach by having a PC toggled to your I-Drive. http://www.realcarpc.com
Since my upload to MM, battery timing has been troublesome. I've reset network settings multiple times. Screen on time is sometimes less than 3 hours. Sometimes above 5 hours. I love this phone but this battery problem with the update is driving me crazy.
Should I factory reset my phone? What would that entail?

If you are on Stock, i would try two Factory Resets in series. One direktly in Android and after booting up the next one through recovery.
I recently posted on this subject:
Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: Never.
Settings > Location > three dots (top right) > Wi-Fi scanning: Can be on or off
Viber > General > Wi-Fi sleep policy > Use device's settings
In my experience with Stock ROMs, this issue (Wi-Fi always active in Battery Stats even though sleep policy is set to: Never) is caused by an installed app.
Viber has a setting in General > Wi-Fi sleep policy.
Not every app will have such an option, but check. All you can do if the issue persists is to clean install ROM and one by one start adding your apps to see when the problem reoccurs.
There may be apps (or an xposed module) that will allow you to stop apps changing the Wi-Fi sleep policy. I've not done any research on the topic.
Wi-Fi Scanning can be enabled or disabled and does not have an affect.

Hi everyone,
The wired problem is every time I press that button, it won't show my emergency info but reboot my phone signal(signal bar will be empty with a "x" then come back automatically). It worked before, and I think this happened after I rooted my phone with Magisk.

Any ideas about this? Thanks in advance.
Basic phone info: stock Rom 8.1, stock kernel
Solved: Because of a misconfigured theme file.
I think the phone changes (or resets?) some network configs as part of enhanced emergency services in preparation for you to dial 911. I just checked and mine does it too although I don't know about previous phones or android versions. I'm inclined to think it's more of a feature than is apparent.

Might be, but when it was working, it would show my emergency contact info. Right now nothing happened only got this problem (and just found the left up corner also said no service no sim card), and also no dial panel to dial 911
So, I've been looking all over the internet for 2 years (approx.) from time to time for this query.
My device: I have a Motorola X(4) device which came with near stock Android.
My question: how can I see who is connected to my hotspot.
What have I tried so far: I see apps in playstore for scanning Wi-Fi and not what I want (which is to see devices connected to hotspot). I've search for web with no helpful answer, everyone seems to confuse about Wi-Fi scanner. I don't want a Wi-Fi scanner
In few answers I see people showing steps to do this, but I don't see the last option 'View Who is Connected' in my device. I have attached screenshots for reference.

Hi there,
Although motorola is close to stock Android, they have the annoying manner of removing very little, yet useful features like that. You're supposed to have a menu to see what device are connected, like me (I'm using OxygenOS, and even with their "overlay" they left the feature).
Unfortunately I don't know how to help you on this one. When I had a motorola (Moto E 2015 LTE) it didn't have the "enable wireless display" option for screen casting m. I've search a long time, and finally found out about that annoying manner motorola has. The solution was to modify one or two line in the build.prop file.
Hope you'll find out one day
