Owners of Sony Xperia Miro are not going to get jelly bean update, so as one, I found this on forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2137561 . I am new user so I can't even comment on post(?!) so I ask you devs, is anyone working on this or does this rom work on Miro?
Thats for xperia s a higher spec phone so no it will not work on miro. If there is not a thread in development section for a rom then its not available for your phone.

Thank you!

I think this is the closest as Tipo and Miro will get to Xperia Z (jellybean) a-like ROM for now.
Although, it IS based on CM10.

It will take some time before completely new ROM will (possibly) be developed. Theres a chance they will never come.
Hi Guys!
I want so much to see the gourgeous CynogenMod CM 7.2 GB for my Xperia J device. I used to have it for my Xperia Ray and it still beats the Ray with Stock JB. In my opinion Xperia J and CM 7.2 would really, really, really rock!!!
Any idea what it would take to get it running? Would it be possible to take the stock JB kernel from Xperia J and combine it with
the old Xperia Ray (urushi) CM 7.2 release?
Why? Why not? Can you point out what would be missing, how much work owuld it be?
best regards
a xperia lover
The idea has been in my head aswel. It would b. Really smooth as gb is very light. It shouldn't be to difficult just a good dev to port the Rom and kernel.
I welcome somebody can porting rom from xperia z from for xperia j.
This topic should be locked/deleted. It is not possible to port Z's ROM to J, mainly due to devices' specs. If you are asking questions like this, then it only proves how little you know about Android.
why? arc/s are single core and they have xperia z rom port...

You can't just port a complete ROM like that. You need a base, like the cyanogenmod ports as base, and there are some ROMs that LOOK like Xperia Z ROMs, but usually they are WAY different.
Plus, as the specs are different not everything will / can work, you will still have a way more limited ROM instead.
Hi There,
I am new here. Got to this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2172872 .
Can anybody hare have the Xperia J version of Xperia Nexus Rom mentioned in the page above...
I really like this Rom. The developer of this ROM has done a great job.
Thanks!

my wish is that can help to port roms and such things ...
when i´m wrong or forget devices please correct me.
just in case, if you want AOSP-Based ROM, you need to work with sources, don't port it. because it'll have a lot of different libs, drivers, etc that cause a lot of bugs or things that don't work.
Very usefull thread! BUT DELETE SAMSUNG DEVICES FROM THE LIST. Porting from samsung devices is dangerous for our xperias.
Also add to list:
Xperia Arc
Huawei G3000
Htc PICO (Explorer)
Pico is on fire.
I guess, heavy development going on there.
btw the motorola motoluxe have same specs as our xj , the cpu is just clocked @800mhz and display resulution is the same ....
i think my first useable work could be a port from motoluxe...
I think the best porting is porting from other Sony device... For me the best is Sony Ericsson Arc/S.

okay so the normal arc have s1 right ???
it have s2 that means i have to add a pair of phones
and have it another libs and such things ??? cause of adreno 205 and the driver problem with adreno200e
If you are porting CM based roms, you only have to patch some parts in frameworks and add lib for keyboard, that's all
I've ported couple of Roms from pico but its based on cm for Miro.
Is chipset of miro and J is different ?
Sent from Xperia Miro running cm10 with XPOSED.
