I hope this is an easy answer...
I want to SBF my Droid Razr Maxx HD to full stock. I have an unlocked bootloader and it is currently on CM 10.1.3. If I SBF this phone with RSD Lite and the firmware (from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=5) will I still have the unlocked bootloader and the ability to flash other roms if so desired?
yes
Thank you.
EDIT: I have successfully brought the phone back to full stock.

Rooted my Xoom earlier today and was wondering will the OTA update (if it's ever released...) will remove root and relock the bootloader? Or are OTA updates disabled?
You will get notification for the OTA but it will fail installation. You must not be rooted for the update to work. You can however be unlocked, this will not affect the update process.

Is there any way I can unroot since there is no stock image for the european firmware?
Stock European ROM is now on MOTODEV so managed to flash that and relock the bootloader. Thanks
I've just received a used VZW Razr HD (Maxx) on trade. It's rooted with unlocked bootloader on 4.04 (don't have the build number handy). It is not a developer version of the phone.
I understand I will lose root, but I wish to restore it to factory stock 4.1.2. While I'm not new to Android (also have a GS3 and a Droid Inc.), I am new to Motorola phones.
What's the procedure for flashing this thing to stock, locked bootloader and all? Have a source for the stock ROM? Any help is appreciated.
Matt's util in original android development should work for most common devices. Make sure your phone is the right variant and flash the stock ICS and receive the otas. Or you could use like rsdlite (which is available on the forums) and flash the stock 4.1.2 firmware on. Look for some of the devs other posts to figure it out. (The firmware is also on the forums).

Thanks. Does flashing the stock 4.1.2 firmware also restore stock Verizon apps ("bloatware") and any changes made to the bootloader? I presume I can flash this despite changes made to stock apps (missing .apk's, frozen apps, etc.)?
How about returning to stock recovery? What's the procedure there? Can I find the necessary .zip file and flash with Matt's utility?
I'm using the Verizon Droid Razr Maxx HD and currently on system version 9.30.1.XT926 (build number 9.8.1Q-94-1). Is it possible to downgrade to an earlier version using RSD Lite so that I can root, unlock the bootloader, and flash roms?
I tried flashing an older version of Jelly Bean but I got an error in RSD Lite so I was just making sure. Thanks for your help.
nope, cant do it.
Hey guys,
I have the Moto G and i unlocked te bootloader, did an custom recovery and rooted the device and i had a custom rom. But i got back to stock with this GUIDE and i got no rooted device and no custom recovery but i still have the unlocked bootloader, i also have a other stock image of the moto then normally! (I have the 210.12.32.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US version) and i need the global gsm version xt1032 if i am right. But my question is, can i get ota updates now? because i want android L!
Thanks already.

Sorry for bad english
Your warranty is just invalid but you'll be able to perform an ota update. If you have doubts flash a stock 4.4.2 firmware and update it via ota, I'm sure you'll be able to do it. You'll enjoy Andoid L, don't worry

Having an unlocked bootloader has no adverse effect on the ability to update via OTA. You can even be rooted, although, you will more than likely lose root upon updating, which shouldn't be too difficult to get back. The only things that would affect updating via OTA is if you have a custom recovery, or if you've modified/deleted any system files/apps.
Hey guys, I have a quick question maybe you guys can help me with.
I have a droid Maxx that is exhibiting some issues and I was wondering if I can use RSD lite to flash stock FW to it.
The phone itself is locked and in a stock state. Is it possible to flash stock FW or would I need to unlock the bootloader with something like Sunshine first?
Or would there be another way to flash stock FW not involving RSD?
Thanks
