Hi all, I have tried unconsciously to downgrade to my SV brand TIM Italy, except that I lost accidentally wipe the operating system with the recovery TWRP 2.6.3. and I have no backup. I need a stock rom TIM Italy JB 4.2.2 with sense 5 to resuscitate, or a backup file of someone who has this rom, even unbrand. Specifications:

Yes, I tried this, I extract the boot.img from the zip and flash with fastboot, then flash the rom from TWRP ... everything seems to work until you activate the lock screen, in fact the device freezes, or if restart it freezes on HTC logo. Anyway thank you all, I will try also back up the K2_UL

if the K2_UL backup works, use rumrunner.us and s-off, then you can RUU with Europe or Asia RUU....then update all the way to 4.2.2

The backup K2_UL not been successful, but I loaded a rom saturn 3 and I managed to make s-off and super cid 11111111 Also, I flashed a hboot found here on the forum in the One SV general section and added in PL80IMG txt my new cid ... everything was fine but now when I connect the device in fastboot mode is no longer recognized by the pc .... and I noticed that with the device turned on and connected to the PC partitions are reversed, the sd is seen as internal memory and internal memory as sd ... I do not know what to do at this point, and I can not flash anything ....

Thats not bug, thats a feature (of Saturn III).
And this is only, when Android is booted, you can flash in recovery everything you want.
You'll find a zip for return to stock memory in the Saturn III thread, third post.
yeah buddy, read before flash lol
Ah, a feature lol. Noted.

Hello guys, I missed because of work, however I was able to flash the stock rom 4.1.2 JB. and everything works fine but the device is no longer recognized in fastboot mode .... I've read that is a feature of saturn 3 but I have now removed and in fact if the device is turned on and connected to the storage are affixed, but not recognized in fastboot ... this has happened since I made the downgrade hboot (from 2:21 to 1.0) why is this happening? so I can not flash anything in fastboot mode ... ideas? thanks

No, this is not because of Saturn III. My rom has no changes related to fastboot mode.
When i updated to 4.2.2, i had driver issues and also no fastboot mode. Which PC OS (Windows?; 7 or 8?; 32 or 64 bit?) do you have and have you tried to update your drivers?

My pc works with win 8.1 32 bit ,I had no problems with the driver before , even when I was with JB 4.2.2 ... I flashed saturn 3 because it was the only rom that worked and then I could do it by downgrade of hboot in order to install the new rom stock 4.1.2 JB .... with saturn 3 fastboot working fine, only the storage were reversed but fastboot worked ..... after the downgrade of the hboot and restore stock rom, the device is no longer detected in hboot mode ... now I try to reinstall the latest drivers for HTC ...

Roms boot until it shows wallpaper and top toolbar with the battery icon and time, then can read preparing phone storage.... and an error appears asking me to wait or close system process
The rom restarts and stucks at this point dont know what else do, i try installing stock recovery and clear data factory reset and try install with 3 versions of recovery whith same result, have tried some different roms and its the same.
Wonder if anyone knows what i have to do solve this..
Thankyou in advance.

Which roms did you try to flash? Did you flash the correct boot.img

thanks for your answer
Yes i flash [ROM][ICS] |June 13th| Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ Blue with the boot.img from the downloads
and [ROM] Ir2 1.78.401.2 - HTC One S Stock ROM DUO [Deodexed-Updated-Optimised]
When finish flasing from recovery reboot on fastboot and flash the boot.img and always is the same result.
I've tried to change to stock version of recovery and wipe all, reset to factory default then flash custom recovery and start the process but is the same.
when i whipe from stock or custom version of recovery there isn't any error message.
thankyou very much.
you don't flash the boot.img from recovery--read OP
boot.img
I flash it from fastboot not installing a zip from recovery. I also try installing by script like on [ROM][ICS] |June 14th| Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ Blue that there is an script that makes the installation always from fastboot

Hi, find a way to make my htc one s woking again
This is the solution:
first i've to change my CID because my phone is from ORANGE spain and cannot flash a official RUU.
for this i follow this tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26516911#post26516911
Second flash stock recovery and lock boot
finally i've downloaded the last europe RUU, and execute it.The process works like a charm and in 15 or 20 minutes my one s was working again.
Now i have lock boot, stock recovery and unrooted phone and have one question:
for root my phone again have to unlock and flash a custom recovery, and then.....
should I need to put back again stock recovery and lock boot for working an official RUU?? or can work without problems with unloked boot an custom recovery?
Thanks in advance.
Hey I have the exact same issue but running RUU didnt solve it. I have the US Tmobile Htc one s, S-off, supercid, hboot 1.14. I could load custom roms and mount usb storage only through recovery. my sd card does not show in fastboot. However, my phone never completely boots. It goes all the way to the lockscreen, allows me to pull the ring, then gets stuck on preparing phone storage. Flashing RUU does the same.
can anyone help?

I have the same problem any ideas?
anyone know of any gurus in the forum knows how to fix
I've been trying for a month
any rom to put loads and after a 10-20sec reset
For you with sd-card problems, have you tried to flash stock recovery and then boot to bootloader and choose clear storage? It worked for me.
If you installed a RUU, ofcourse you already have stock recovery.

For about some days, I flash an RUU when I was still s-off and boot-unlocked, then I flash twrp-recovery, make the adb thinks with mmcblk* (dd flash) and flash again a RUU. As you can read here.
But same boot loop problem with "Preparing Phone Storage...".
Because dd flash (the mmcblk* file) under linux and with startet recovery did not solve my bootloop / prepairing sd card problem (I had still access to my sd card with twrp-recovery! All the time!) I really think about to enable s-on
I am only scared when I do:

I was on the latest official ROM (ICS, via OTA) before trying that.
I have not succeeded in flashing a ROM anymore.
Do I need to get S-Off first?
Or is HBOOT to new? Do I have to revert? How?
I tried older HBOOT, but it wouldn'T do anything after PArsing
Please help, any hint is appreciated =/
PS: I would be more than happy to have a stock rom again...as mentioned, cannot use a ruu.exe file, as it seems fastboot usb ist not recognizable by ruu.exe
Edit: After the 4th or 5th try, RUU recognized the phone when in fastboot usb mode, but update fdailed, cwm saif "security fail" ... sigh, seems I really blew it this time

Hi,
Start again using THIS GUIDE
Flash the boot.img from your ROM through fastboot.
Extra step 1 from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25587345
Be sure to use the boot.img from your ROM.
Then make a clean install of the ROM again.
Also, read that thread for the sake of understanding what you're doing.
There is NO need yet to flash an RUU.
Latest OTA comes with hboot 1.29 which is locked.
You might not be in the latest one, perhaps start with an RUU with.the latest fw (3.33).

thanks malybru & kgs1992 - tried that, and the 4ext touch recoery said both superwipe and the rom installed correctly.
but when rebooting the white screen with the green htc logo appears right away and nothing more happens...any idea? I may have messed up the kernel before, but when asked by ext4 recovery whether to flash a kernel, tried both custom and stock, none changed the problem with booting up
@Raven2k: Manually installing boot.img with fastbok seemed to help, at least I come over the white screen, am stuck with the beatsaudio logo right now - thanks so far =)

Hello to all,
For some reason my HTC Sensation won't boot - it keeps on rebooting on the white htc screen.
It started doing this 1-2 weeks ago. Yesterday I managed to get inside the ClockworkMod Recovery somehow from HBOOT, and restored an old backup. Then I installed a newer radio and [ROM] Android Revolution HD 6.7.2 (the page recommended updating the radio). I also flashed the 4EXT Touch recovery, as it was required by this ROM, so I changed from Clockwork to 4EXT. The device worked for 1-2 hours, and then after one restart, it wouldn't boot again. This time I can't access anything but HBOOT and FASTBOOT.
Of course ADB doesn't work as I can't boot the device.
So the question is - what shall I update via fastboot "fastboot update update.zip" so that I restore my device? Or what file shall I put on the SD Card so that HBOOT can recover it (I have access to other devices, so I can place something on the SD card)?
I've been trying to flash various ROM's and RUU's but all of them give an error.
The configuration inside HBOOT says the following:
-Revolutionary-
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.27.1100
RADIO-11.24A.3504.31_M
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0104
eMMC-boot
Jan 12 2012,17:33:34
I also tried flashing a few recoveries via fastboot (clockworkmod recovery.img and 4ext recovery.img), but could get inside them :/
Let me know what else could I do.
Thanks for the support!
I just managed to get to the ClockworkMod recovery and installed a new ROM - OpenSensation. It worked during the first boot, but then when I rebooted the phone - the same thing happens - it keeps on rebooting on the htc white screen.
Of course I can no longer go to the ClockworkMod recovery.
I also notice that when going back and fourth between HBOOT and FASTBOOT menus, at the top the version for RADIO appears and disappears.
I am not sure if all this is a hardware or software problem, but it is strange that from time to time I manage to get to a recovery and install a ROM which works for a while and then sends me back to this rebooting loop.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Might be a hardware failure but.. First try ruu and restore to complete stock. Most of the times this fixes the issue..
For finding and flashing a ruu.. Look for ruu info guide by kgs1992 in sensation general section

Thanks for the help. I managed to install successfully the following RUU:
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed
but it didn't work... it installed successfully, but the phone keeps on restarting on the white htc screen.
I figured that might be because of the firmware installed (I was on Android 4.0.x), so maybe this RUU is older.
I am downloading right now:
RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.5_R_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M_release_252064_signed.exe , which definitely must be Android 4.0.x so I hope it works.
Thanks for the help and thanks to kgs1992
Ruu is complete rom.. It has everything In it.. When you run ruu you shouldn't consider the firmware, recovery etc etc.. It has everything built in
So when you flashed the gb ruu.. It flash stock recovery, stock gb firmware and stock rom
So when you flashed gb ruu it has turned to complete gb rom.. Anyways less hope that the ICS ruu works fine
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Somehow I thought that the firmware is separate, although I wasn't sure.
Anyway - the fact is that after a successful RUU update, the phone keeps on rebooting and couldn't boot even once. I hope the next RUU fixes it.
thanks,
Anton

try a AOSP ROM/CM9/CM10 lot of people had these kind of issues and they can boot only to a non sense roms ..may be you could boot fine on non-sense roms too
How would I flash CM9 CM10 or any AOSP, when I have access only to "fastboot". So far I could only flash those RUU-s from a Windows machine, as I can't get to any recovery.
Would it work if I try "fastboot update cm9.zip" or something similar?

Fastboot update command won't work
As you are soff.. You can flash jbhboot or 3.33 universal firmware with every thing removed except hboot_xxxx.nb0 file.. And unlock the hboot first
Then flash a recovery (you can avoid hboot flash and try a PG58IMG.zip file of recovery) from fastboot
Then from.. Recovery flash the cm9 or any AOSP rom
If you can't boot to recovery even after flashing the recovery fine.. Then try this command
fastboot boot recovery.img
(it boots into recovery temporarily.
From there you will flash a rom)

You can try using Fastboot Commnder
Instructions:
-download tool
-unpack zip and click on .exe application (is a stand alone app, so you have to click and confirm installation, that's all!)
-open tool
-put DHD in "Fastboot Mode"
-plug it to your pc usb
-Wait for "print of device succesfull"--(if fails, check your sdk driver)
-here you go to "misc"
-select: erase partitions (system, cache, userdata, boot) Don't select recovery
-click on "Erase chosen partition"
-Done
You can use this tool to flash a new ROM or even to flash a recovery.img
Your problems might also come from not flashing the correct recovery.
Make sure you have the latest version. Good luck
Hey guys, before I say something. I have really searched for help on the forum, although I clearly need help.
So I was trying to ROM the new Revelation rom and ended up in a bootloop where phone is restarting at HTC screen. I've flashed ROMs a several times with no problem whatsoever, until now.
I have 4Ext recovery and can access it without problems. Tried installing other ROMs as Cm10 with no luck.
At the time is says in bootloader.

I've tried installing the RUU 3.33.4, (which I believe is the right firmware for me, still nothing happens really, it loads in bootloader, nothing more).
Thank you very much for any help, I'd really appreciate it.

Folks, the surgery went well! I fixed it.
Was looking for every possible solution and found a guide! Finally got my lovely sensation back.
1. Put the firmware PG58IMG file in root (3.33.4 - since my fastboot told me so). Let it "flash".
2. Went inside 4Ext and removed the PG58IMG file.
2. Formated and wiped dalvik and cache.
3. With 4Ext smartflash turned on I flashed CM10.1 ROM.
4. Bootet back to bootloader in 4Ext, connected my device to adb and fastboot.
5. Copied the boot.img from the CM10.1 Rom-file and put it in the same folder as adb and fastboot.
6. Typed "fastboot flash boot boot.img", let it flash.
7. Reboot, phone back and feeling good!
Hope this helps for anyone who's stuck at HTC logo screen and has S-ON. Since the S-ON kind of prevented me from changing CID etc. I tried this, which worked successfully!

Information about device
ADB-information (when typing "adb getvar all")

Even I had the same problem today.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2349395
In short..the culprit was the boot.img.
It was not being flashed even after enabling smartflash in 4ext recovery.
So basically what I did was exract boot.img from the AndroidRevolution rom and flashed it via fastboot(fastboot flash boot boot.img).
And it worked!!
Try this and report.
@NickenA
You should probably remove your imei and serial number from OP.
Sent from my Ouya
You can still flash Revelation but since you are S-ON you may need to flash the boot.img separately like you posted in your solution. So, extract the boot.img from the ROM, flash the ROM then push boot.img to your phone afterwards, and before you know it you will be enjoying the smoothest Sensation possible!
I've been having the same problem, once again, after trying to flash Revelation (and yeah, I'm also 1.27 with S-ON) so this looks like it's definitely the common denominator. Even with SmartFlash in 4EXT, the boot.img doesn't seem to flash for any ROM after attempting to flash revelation - I even tried 3 others that I know used to work just fine. I was starting to get afraid that I may have softbricked my phone, but I'll go ahead and try flashing boot.img manually. Thanks
EDIT: Worked like a charm - only needed to do fastboot flash boot boot.img
The other method with the PG58IMG is going a little overboard, IMO
Jus flash the proper boot.img

No need to wipe/flash anything.. Most boot-loops with S-ON occur with wrong boot.img. Just use fastboot flash boot boot.img and you should be good to go.
I have the same problem... :/ (Not sure if I have to start a new thread)
I have flashed the Revelation ROM and after rebooting I'm stuck at HTC splash screen. Now after restoring my backup of my previously used CM10.1 ROM I'm stuck on splash screen too. I even tried to flash a clean CM10.1 ROM, but same problem
I'm S-OFF using hboot 1.29 and latest firmware.

It's really strange, I have never had that problem. I rewiped (except SD) and reflashed the ROMs many times, but still bootloop.
Even restoring my backup of my CM10.1 doesn't work :/
And fastboot doesn't work, because my bootloader is *** LOCKED ***

with locked bootloader you are restricted to fastboot commands
what to do is flash 3.33 universal from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
it will give you also a patched hboot which is unlocked
follow the instructions carefully
and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
after that try with the command again

Yeah, I'm pretty sure since this is my only source for FW/hboot files.
I'm reflashing 3.33 universal now. Which hboot should I flash? (since the one in the thread is, I guess, only an 1.27 > 1.29 update package)

Hi,
I have just dug up my Son's old HTC Sensation and thought I would try to get it going as I have in the past rooted a couple of Desires and a Legend. Upon boot the phone just sticks at the white screen with green HTC and won't load an OS.
Details in HBOOT are:
***UNLOCKED***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
eMMC-boot
Jan 13 2012,17:33:34
Obviously a root job has been half done and it looks to me like I may need to downgrade the HBOOT so I have tried to find more info here but it all seems out of date (old phone) but my biggest problem is my PC won't pick up the device on the USB so I am stuck.
Any up to date help would be appreciated to unbrick it thanks
Rex.

Hi,
Thank you - Recovery at the moment is ClockworkMod v5.8.0.9 but that doesn't seem to do much. Following the link in your sig for 4ext and the forum thread I downloaded the recovery.zip and tried to flash through FASTBOOT but the installation aborts each time.
Cheers.

Hi,
I am not quite sure what you mean, I have said that the PC will not recognise the phone, PC connectivity via USB is not possible. I have installed drivers but to no avail so far.
Thank you.

Already had the BMP but the HTC driver is 4.2 compared to my 4.16 so installed.
Windows 7 on the PC and Phone is formatted so no OS, cannot get to USB debugging mode. Even with the new 4.2 driver the PC does not see the phone.
Thanks.

Hi again,
Sorry, I've been away for a few days. I found an RUU with a VERY close number and installed that and it worked a treat The thing is I now have a locked, Vodafone branded phone which I would love to unlock and install a custom ROM that will work with S-ON as I don't seem to be able to S-OFF the phone. Is that possible now please?
Thanks.

if you still have the unlock code.bin use it to unlock the bootloader
otherwise go again to htcdev site and unlock it from there
then use this recovery
http://d-h.st/rG7
it is the latest 4ext verison
extract the recovery.img and flash it via fastboot command
about S-OFF have you seen this method?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2751187
Over to HTC Dev it is then Thanks for that, I'll keep you up to date and maybe even try the S-OFF via that method after the recovery.img is flashed. Assuming I get that far !!
Thank you again.
OK - Phone unlocked again and 4ext downloaded............ How do I flash an img file? Keep asking for zip. I assume I am now flashing from the PC as recovery on the phone is now just a reset function.
Thanks.
