I had been googling here and there about PinPhone, a cloned iPhone from China. RUnning on Nucleus One, a China MTK platform is OK. But imagine if this device could be able to run android. FUh....it'll be the coolest thing on earth.
Can anyone tell me what is the criteria for a mobile phone to get flashed into android, my favorite AUTOBOTS. feel free to discuss about it.
Hello everyone!
I had a disability (a paralisis in the four limbs), until now I was using Nokia phones and controlling it with commercial software like MobilEDIT, mVNC and Moteo but today I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S and I'm searching for an application that allows me to control the phone in a similar manner and I've found your screencast sotware that looks very interesting.
My problem is that I'm totally new in the Android world and I've readed that for use your application I need to ROOT my phone but this will invalidate th warranty and I don't know how to ROOT my phone.
I think that your application is very usefull for people with any kind of disability. I worked as a programmer and system administrator for 13 years and I think that I can help with the development of screencast but I don't know where I can beging, I need some advice about how I can start to learn the devolopment for the Andrid system.
Can you help me?
I recently bought a ZiiO and at first look it seems like an excelent tablet for is price. But it get's me frustrated to be stuck on Android 2.2.1 version as well as stuck on Creatives' propritary updates.
At first glinpse on the device everything here looks like it has been developed according to the hardware. Not having market, not beeing able to mess around
Searching and researching on the web allowed me to root my device and install common software like the Market.
Then I realized that ZiiO's hardware is capable of supporting USB Host which sadly hasn't been enabled on the kernel that's compiled on the device. Looking at config.gz made me wonder why on the world would Creative do such a thing.
Has anyone been able to dump ZiiO's boot or kernel? I need to recompile the kernel to enable some flags. Has anyone gone through this expirence that can lead me on the right track?
Having such a variety of devices on the world makes me confuse on what should and could be done on this device.
Hi - I'm a newbie and frankly knows next to nothing about Android app development. There are lots of great apps out there that would be great to use on the big screen via Android TV (the only device out there now is the Nexus Player), but unusable on Nexus Player because they requires either gesture or mouse. This leads me to think that there must be a relatively easy way to take the APK and update the code so that I can use the d-pad remote for the Nexus Player.
Can anyone point me the way?
Thanks!
Frank
Hello there, I'm also new to this website and as a newbie, I wanted also to gain some ideas or concepts that could enhance my skills and knowledge on web application, web designing, web development, mobile application and android. Hope to get along with you guys.. Thanks!
Picked up one these tablets its a commercial built android tablet running KitKat 4.4, this has a bespoke install specifically for retail management in the form of integrated MokiManage software. While the software can be turned off and your left with a big standard Android tablet (seriously the onscreen keyboard is massive), i would though rather have a standard android install than one with features enabled & disabled according to the manufacturer requirements.
It is possible to access the recovery to implement an update but;
1. Would it be possible to replace the bespoke install with a standard KitKat ROM?
2. Its brand new & built to withstand Saturday morning kids playing whack a mole on it, would YOU risk bricking it?
Hi!
I can't find anything at all on xda about that device. You could try a Google search, or try asking here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
I really doubt you can do much with it though. You would need to have something created for your specific device, and I can't find anything.
Good luck!
