how to use LightFlow?? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I downloaded and installed Lightflow to control my LED but I feel really stupid. I go into the app and designate which apps get what colors and when ever I get notifications, the LED never stops flashing. even if i check and reply to a hangouts/sms message, the LED continues to flash GREEN (the color I chose for sms)
I thought that the LED would stop flashing if I either A. swiped the notification away from the notification bar, or B. read or read and replied to it.
same goes for Gmail and Facebook and MIssed calls. LED always flashes the color I chose and never goes away despite calling back, replying to the email etc...
what am I doing wrong?

[REQ] Blink LED for notifications for more than 5 minutes

It's really bothersome on the EVO how LED notifications only flash for 5 minutes then stop. Would love an app that creates its own LED notification and flashes it indefinitely until viewed. I know there are other notification apps on the market, but I'd prefer one that doesn't try to create other notifications (in the bar, pop-up, etc.). Something that JUST does LED, so I can then turn LED off in Settings, would be preferable.
Also would be nice to disable the LED while charging, or to be able to interrupt it, but I have a feeling this couldn't be done through the SDK.

I'm glad you posted this gripe, I have always wondered how long it will blink the LED but never thought to stop and time the LED- I would always clear whatever alert out of habit.

I would love for someone to be able to figure out how to do that. Its just too damn bright if you are using the phone while its charging and the lights are out (for example using it as an ereader.)
I would like the LED to flash while charging for notifications, does anyone know what colors the EVO's LED can actually flash besides red, green, and orange?
I also would REALLY enjoy all of the previously noted requests. But I'd rather not root my Evo just yet...would it still be possible? (like, could this possibly just be an app?)

[Q] Notification Screen Flash App?

Seeing as that the Captivate does not have a notification LED, it sometimes becomes a problem noticing new notifications. I just want to know if there is some kind of application that would flash the screen for a few seconds or so when the phone receives a new notification. I remember my iPhone doing that and it would be cool to see Android phones doing the same.
Look in the development forum for captivate, there is a thread doing this exact thing
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
No, I know about the red dot on the screen thing. I dont really need that and besides, I believe it kills battery. I just want some app to turn the screen on for a few seconds when I get a notification.
Maybe go to the noled thread and see if he'll add that feature
my screen does flash when I get a message. It pops up in the notification bar and shows two lines of the message then shuts off.

It does this when it is sleeping?
I just tested it. When its locked and the screen is off it revives itself when I get and MMS or SMS. For emails it does not.
handcent sms will do it when you adjust the settings for the popup menu
Oh, maybe it only works for SMS and MMS notifications only. I would like the screen to flash on for every notification (Gmail, Feedr, AIM, etc). Kind of like how the iPhone worked with push notifications.

[Q] Handcent Constant Notification

Love Handcent, however notifications don't seem to work how I would like them to. I close pop up window, clear notification bar, however unread messages pop back up in notification bar and led starts blinking again after screen timesout to off. Only way I get the led to stop blinking is by marking message read, which I don't always want to do, as I might forget. No other sms notifications on in other apps are active.
Anyone know of settings to make it so the led does not re-blink on screen timeout after closing pop up window (preferred method), or clearing notification bar? I like seeing the green line next to sms for later when I get an actual moment to reply.

[REQ] Multiple Notifications Using Notification Light

I have an idea for a useful app/mod/xposed module that would allow the notification light to indicate notifications from multiple apps at the same time. For instance: I have a text message, which normally flashes white(ish), and then I get an email, which normally flashes red. With both notifications being present at the same time, instead of the light only flashing the color of the most recent notification (red in this case), it would flash white once, then red once, pause, then white, red, pause, etc. Three notifications would flash a sequence of the three respective colors.
Being able to customize the colors and timing per app is not necessarily important to me, but probably wouldn't be difficult at the already required level of control anyway, and I'm sure several people appreciate that option with current mods.
TL;DR
App/mod to make notification LED blink all active notifications instead of just most recent.
So, what do you all think?
If I had the programming knowledge and time, I would certainly write this myself and share, but I do not
There is such a xposed modul or even app I had something like that and I had other colours for apps for egz Facebook had blue light SMS got orange and Gmail got red and if I recive Gmail and SMS my led was blinking orange and red so there is nothing new you can search for this

Oh is this fairly recently? I thought about this a while ago but never got around to posting until now.. I haven't looked for it since then
Try using light manager in the play store. You can customize the order of lights

LED notification apps

Hi,
For a few months now (since I have S6) I'm trying to find a working app, that would manage my LED notifications. I've tried Light Manager, Led Blinker, Lightflow....
But I have a common issue with all of them. Once I have a new message/missed call/new email LED starts to blink with the color defined in the app settings, that's fine. But if I read that email e.g. on my laptop, the notification won't disappear. Even worse, when I get new message or have a missed call, I open the app (default messaging app) and read the message or see the phone logs - the notifiction will still stay in the notification bar. And then, once the display dimms, LED will start to blink again.
This all is not happening if I don't use app to manage LED. So it has to do something with those apps settigns....or I don't know. Am I missing something, some settings....?
This was not happening on my S4.
I would be so grateful for any help.
