Hello Please some one help.
My Prestigio - PMP7280C3G V4.2.2 is now Rooted so for the past week or so now APK'S that I have downloaded from many internet apk websites have worked but everything is installing and using all my internal storage space.
How can I change the Download location on my Prestigio - PMP7280C3G V4.2.2 to the SDCARD if at all possible because so far I haven't been able to find a option to set the location to SDCARD. ( Any Help to do this would be much Appreciated. )
Also how can I run Apps/Games that some of them may or may not have data which is needed for them to run and that needs to be installed on to the Internal but how can I make it seem like the External is the Internal and make it run from the external..
I hope all the above makes sense and someone can help..
Any information and help will be much and greatly Appreciated.
Everything you have written says that you are downloading apps and games illegally and thereby harming developers. As the XDA website is all about developing, this is a discussion which can't and won't be allowed on XDA.

Hi, i've recently installed the Oxygen V2 RC7 rom onto my HTC Desire. I've installed the Rom Manager app and have used that to create a partition to allow for apps to install onto my sd card.
However when I install apps, it appears that it still stores onto my internal memory. At the moment when I go into Titanium Backup it states that my internal memory only has 64.2mb free (down from 154mb) and SD card (a2sd) has 452mb free (down from 480mb).
I've tried googling but I can't seem to find any solutions. I've also tried reflashing the rom again but nothing changed.
If someone could point me in the right direction and to what I may have done wrong, or if i've missed something, it would be highly appreciated! a2sd was one of the main reasons I rooted, so it's a bummer it's not working atm!
Thanks in advance!
[RESOLVED] Found out the reason. Dalvik cache wasn't moved.
anyone? any help would be highly appreciated!
i have the same problem. i've 2gb ext3 partition and also installed leedroid a2sd version rom. but when i installed just a few applications, my phone's free memory space decreased to 100mb. and i couldn't understand this solution can anybody help me please ?
Hi guys,
I cant find any HTC Explorer forum, so im forced to post it here.
ok, so im new to the android experience and this Explorer is my first ever smartphone. I got it a few days back and I love every inch of it, especially the HTC Sense 3.5.
The problem is that my phone has very low memory. The device only shows 13Mb free and i only have installed the basic facebook, whatsapp etc on my internal memory. (the rest are on SD card).
I learned somewhere that i can increase the internal memory by creating a partition on the SD card (using link2sd). but that requires root access.
I only want to increase my internal memory. I dont want to remove any of my current data, or my current HTC Sense interface or install any custom ROM or anything.
Can someone please help me? I know this is a pretty basic problem, but I cant find a consolidated solution anywhere. Please guide me through the process (root process, link2sd, partitioning or any other process involved) to increase my memory without losing the HTC Sense 3.5 or any other pre-installed data.
Also after rooting, will I still be able to receive updates from HTC?
I would really appreciate any kind of help.
Thanks alot in advance.
HTC Explorer problem
HI,
You cant't increase your internal memory without root.
GO to check settings->applications->manage applications which apps use your internal memory and move it to your sd card.
If you root your phone and don't flash any custom rom you can still receive HTC official updates.
If I helped you hit thanks
ok thanks for telling me that. now if someone could guide me through the process to root and to increase my storage please ?
Is a Active_L10A1G running android 4.2.2
I get frequent insufficient storage space errors when i attemptto update apps. Also been getting other insufficient errors.
I have been advised to go the rooting method in order to fix the problem.
I downloaded an app called 'Fix me storage' which would run and referred me to your website.
Can you please point me in the right direction as it is driving me insane.
My tablet has more than enough storage to handle updates.
CPU 4core
Ram 1024Mb
Rom 1007.9Mb
SdCard 12.94Gb
Thank you

Hi RonBus,
unfortunately there is nothing about your exact device on xda.
To free some space on your internal memory/sd card, you may have to uninstall some apps, move some files to other partitions (or external memory/sd card if available).
You can also use some cleaner apps from Play store (e.g. CleanMaster) to identify some junk files which can be removed.
If you need further help, please register on xda and post in the [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly. by immortalneo.
Good luck !
Skyrocket, rooted, CM10 (older version). Please see attached screenshot showing available memory. Will not update or load new apps. Please reply.
Vincom! You are the king and savior of all skyrocket users. So many thanks for your monumental efforts on our behalf. I would never have had the courage to root my phone without your concise, thorough and voluminous advice. Thank you.

Using your file manager go to( /data/log/) you will need to do this as root. In that folder you will probably find a bunch of dump files which are eating up your space. Delete the dump files. I personally changed the permission to read only and never had that problem again
I too am having this problem. I viewed the location suggested using CoolMuster Android Assist program. I only had the trial version son so I'm having to buy the full version to actually delete these dump files. I had only 4 files, but they are rather large. Being a novice at this Android stuff, I have a dumb question. How do you interpret the storage information in the phone settings? I'm seeing that my phone has almost 2 GB of "device" storage, a little over 11.2 GB of "usb" storage and I have a 16 GB SD card. I have moved all possible apps, pictures, videos, etc. to the SD card and phone shows there is almost 10 GB of free usb space. Therefore, I don't understand how I can keep getting these insufficient memory messages when I try to download new apps or even when I try to update existing apps.
use a android 6.x.x rom,
Hi I have a question about my rooted Alcatel One Touch Pop Astro Model 50042T. First off I have rooted phones and tablets and moded gaming systems so I have a general-intermediate understanding of the process of rooting but I'm pretty much lost after that. (Also I do NOT have ready access to a PC for the time being.)
So my main concern is that my phone should have 4gb of internal storage and it is only showing that I have 1.80gb!! I know that there are partitions or divvied space that are hidden or you need special permissions to edit. Is that the USB storage? If I'm wrong about that sorry, please correct me.
So my question is how do I reorganize, modify, or even delete hidden partitions? Anything to return my phones visible 1.80gb of storage to the original 4gb? I just need to be able to access it again to install apps on it. If the whole 4gb is impossible, can I get it back to the 3.7-3.8gb that was available when I first purchased it? Please help!!
Im not sure its completely rooted. Im running king root version 4.9.6 and Purify version 1.5.2.159 and I might have installed a custom ROM or kernel but I'm not entirely sure. I got the pphone approximately 3-4 months ago and I rooted it the same night. And I tried multiple versions of king root and other apps and eventually my phone storage disappeared.
•I would install a root checker if I had enough space.
•I used purify to get rid of apps that I figured were bloatware but I still only have 43.82mb available
•I have transferred every app to the SD card that can be stored there.(If there is way to store system apps and apps that usually can't be stored on external SD I would like to know.)
•Im sorry this is my second post of this. I'm really not sure if I posted this in the right place the first time.
Thank you for your help,
Maxx
