Hi guys,
First, sorry for my english, I'm from Chile (SouthAmerica). I recently installed CM11 to my XT925, and works great! But the problem is the camera app. The app works normally, but without HDR (like in the stock rom). The quality of the photos is worse. I tried to install the stock app (apk in system/app) but did not work. I don't want to install an app that simulate the hdr effect, if our Razr HD has a beautiful efect of HDR in its hardware. Is it possible to add som mod or something to recover the hdr cam?

Installation:
Like a normal apk install
Known problems:
- ASOP/CM based roms have FC or doesn't work at all (check source for possible solutions) or try #4 (thanks LAKAME_MAN)
- Works only on JB roms (thanks guimau31 for the alert)
Test on my N7000:
ROM: Stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2, [PhilZ-cwm6][n7000] v4.90.8 Safe Stock Kernel+CWM6+Root-LT4
Radio: N7000XXLT3
Back: 8, 3, 1.3 MP & VGA All OK
Front: 2MP & VGA All Ok
Video Back: HD 1080P, HD 720p, SD 480P All OK
Video Front: SD 480P OK
Sphere: Ok (post-process 8 - 10 segs)
Panorama: Ok (post-process 5 - 8 segs.)
Gallery 3D: All Ok (viewer sphere, etc.)
HDR: Not Available.
Volume rocker as camera shutter: Ok (any button vol+ or vol- can work as shutter )

Works like a charm, thanks for the post! No noticeable issues, I'll report back if I discover anything but so far it's been a smooth ride.

Photosphere works on Vanilla Rootbox. 1080p works too, but has the zoomed video bug.

Yes. Same Rom. Got the apk from somewhere else, but photosphere keeps crashing. Damn. lol

Works on stunner latest room.
Delete gallery 2 from system/app and then install this apk.
Works fine on stock DXLSE deodexed. Install like normal apk. All functions working. Good one! :thumbup:

Sorry my mistake, I don't have a ICS rom to test (and sincerely don't want to install one :silly but searching a little it seems works only on JB roms, I'm updating the OP.
Maybe you can try update to a JB rom stock or ASOP if you can (or want) :highfive:

I have a Xperia E with Stock JB and it hasn't had any bug till I flashed CM10 by @jjm34
After flash, everything works perfectly except camera app: can't connect camera!
I tried install another camera app from Play store but it has the same error with the stock camera app
Anyone can solve this bug?

CM10 Bug. Revert to stock rom.

For now take the dual sim ROM and use yayakuya's files for single sim. Im using that and it works perfectly well.

I tried to delete data,to reinstall rom,other camera apps...i dont know what to do
I have a vonino ego qs phone...android 4.2
On the original rom the camera worked great.....

thats what happens with custom roms, the rom developers dont have the right stuff for the camera so they cant make it perfect, go on the market and download a 3rd party camera app.

1. can any Dev [Port] stock 4.2 camera /cybershot or 4.3 camera for Aosp based 4.4.x rom?
2.also sound enhancement of stock?
3.is there any swapping avalible for aosp based rom, so that one can play games like nfsmw. coz it's 2gb avaliable which is emulated, gl2sd can't help so swap?

Since shifting to 4.4, I feel there's a big difference in the camera (& not the good kind). The stock camera was really great. Can any dev please port the stock camera?
i want only main camera (isuperior auto mod).... means image processer and camera driver of xperia z1 or z2...add on will ne.bonus...
when i install ported camera of 4.3 main camera has fc.but it's looking like the imageprocesser is so advance and efficient...in other camera including snart social camera add on...
so i request to developer to port main stock camera of 4.3 or 4.4(xperia z1 is receiving now) for Aosp 4.4rom since aosp has poor camera software.
This is not as easy as it looks, you'll need Sony's libs.
(I've tried to port it myself but I only get FC's)

Yeah I tried various ways to use the stock camera on CM11, Maybe the Z2 will have some libs/camera apk to use on our AOSP 4.4.

yah i hope so.. libs of camera work for aosp 4.4 of xperiaz2
and what about sound enhancement and soundengine...it's also hard to implement on Aosp?

It cannot be done. That's why very few builds have it. The ones that do crashdump on 8k video and slow motion. Use stock and stock cam
