Any cricket users need help - HTC One SV

I am desperate for a twrp back up of the 4.2.2 I don't have my laptop for a while I can't do very much..I flashed a kernel for 4.2.2 when Iwas half a sleep I'm still on 4.1 ..tried to wipe and flash a kernel for 4.1 but now it boot loops on splash screen.if I flash a 4.2 kernel phone works.so if I had twrp back up I think id be good.

@shawn328
If you are still on 4.1.2 then flashing a 4.2.2 kernel makes no sense lol.
If you are still on 4.1.2 then use your 4.1.2 TWRP backup. Install 4.2.2 OTA afterwards.
If my instructions is a fail then your provided information is misleading
Sent from my K2_CL using Tapatalk

Yea actually it was misleading. I forgot to put that I had tooking out my sdcard for my wife to use in het digital camera and she lost it. I had to get a new sdcard. Lost my back ups and forgot to back up . So I broke the cardinal rule. Its an easy fix for me if I had access to a computer so I can fast boot. Downloaded a cwm back up extracted placed in a twrp back up folder I created by backing up the faulty rom. Didn't work. So I downloaded a flash image command which would allow me to flash a recovery image or boot image via terminal emulator. But te couldn't find it. Try to download a stock zip which had a stock boot image but the zip failed everytime.so I need a copy of someones twrp to fix rather it is 4.1 or 4.2 to fix. Can't ota until I have a computer because all recovery and system images I found are img format. So no stock recovery no stock boot equals no ota. Now I been s off before moon shine with supercid so I'm not a rookie. Even though not backing up was a rookie move and flashing the dream kernel was also.I was half asleep and forgot most variants are already running the 4.2 update. So unless someone knows of a way to flash img files directly from the phone itself. A twrp backup from one of fellow cricket users is the only I think I can go without a computer.

Fixed found a zip made by oldsplatterhand worked like a charm.

For future reference, if all else fails, you can always write the img straight to the partition while using terminal emulator using dd.

An example based from a K2_CL,
Recovery partition:
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/customrecovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p21
Boot partition:
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p20

Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Leedroid has v6.4 on the one S? or the one X?
V2.1 for the One S
Are there any direct links for the one s latest version only tweaks
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
I dont think the tweaks will work on a stock ROM, They require the modded framework.
;( leedroid always messes up when I try download it to my phone

I am stuck in a boot loop too. Driving me nuts I have been using custom roms for ever.

Did you flash the rom in cwm after the first time you flashed the boot.img? If not then that is probably your issue.
For me I flashed boot flash rom in cwm and for good measure flashed the boot again.
I am going to try a new download of the rom I think that could be my issue.
Right ill basically start from as if i was to flash the rom from if i has a stock phone
1.Make sure phone is rooted and unlocked by Htc dev
2.Have a custom recovery flashed
3.Download the v2.0 and v2.1 of the rom and also the boot.img
4.Place v2.0 and v2.1 files into a folder on your sd card.
5.Now make a nandroid backup of your current rom you are using before you flash LeeDroids rom
6.Extract the boot.img so that you can run the command to flash the .img to your phone
7.Boot phone into bootloader then fastboot, connect phone to pc and it should say fastboot usb.
8.Run the boot.img file to which ever OS you are using (meaning windows, mac etc.)
9.Get back into the bootloader screen and get into recovery.
10. Format system, data and cache also wipe dalvik cache as well. It should be wiped by formatting system and data but only takes 2seconds to do it anyway. You will find it under advanced menu(In Clockworkmod)
11. Find the .zip of leedroids v2.0 and flash it
12.Reboot phone and finish the setup menu and just let the phone settle for a minute or two after you finished it
13. Boot phone into bootloader and then fastboot. Run the boot.img again just to be sure.
14.Boot into recovery and flash v2.1 and then reboot and enjoy.
Now set phone up the way you want
This is the method i have used seems long but only takes 10minutes once you have all the files. I have done this 4 times using this method
I will try this method later so what's the v6.4?

Pls help with cwm recovery

I generally and carefully follow instructions well...but here's what I've done. Bootloader has been unlocked and device rooted. Had been consistently backing up with cwm...updated to ics without issue. I had trouble with the jelly bean update so i thought i waz installing it from my laptop...but some how installed the ics download which wjped my system and left me unrooted etc. I rooted the new ics and installed rom manager trid to restore former cwm backup..but have check sum error..can i some how restore a previous cwm backup...or am I sol and have to start over?

You can't.. simply because of file system change and different signs after being rooted again. Advice, use another revovery , not cwm, if you plan to go for jellybean, mount points on jelly ran have somehow changed with different symlinks ..

Cant make a nandroid in recovery

Yesterday I rooted my 8013 note with UEALGB software and tried to make a nandroid in high on android cwm. It would reboot recovery everytime i started the backup process. So i flashed TWRP through goo manager app then tried to make a nandroid and the same thing would happen. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Edit: I just tried to flash the stock recovery and it seems like I am stuck with cwm or twrp. I flashed stock recovery through Odin and it said it was successful but when I reboot into recovery I still have custom recovery.
Edit: Seems to only happen when I try to backup the system partition.

Zeodmaxs root without recovery first then I went back and flashed high on android cwm through Odin later in the night because I wanted to start playing around with stuff.

The root injected image causes problems. I think you're gonna have to ODIN the original image back on it to fix it. Search around, it's here somewhere.
Go for method #2 next time. Roots without an issue.
Did you flash the the Superuser.zip file after flashing Zedomaxs cwm.tar fie in odin? This is needed to get true root priveleges.
Not sure why you can't reflash a stock rom though, that's how I've always gotten rid of root access to revert back to stock...

[q] please help

Hello everyone i currently flashed my sph-d710 or sprint gaxy s2 to a kit kat rom. now first i tried flashing back to other roms, nothing lower then jb and i cant. so i was thinking of flashing a rom and tried backing up through rom manager and it brought me into recovery with an error. My a.d.d. having ass deleted the villumanti by accident b4 the error and i wiped/reset everything including cache during the error, and couldnt flash anything (i tried 3 roms). IN THE END I REBOOTED ALL WAS THERE.I think i have an idea of what happened. I think it could be due to a modem issue e.g. downgrading from kit kat to jb. Should i flash a custom kernel thru mobile odin and get the recovery from there(IM RUNNING THE LATEST CWM I BELIEVE)or should i boot into recovery wipe all data cache reboot recovery and flash the modem, reboot into recovery again proceed as normal. Also what modem should i use. If ive been to vague or you need any more info let me know. P.s. I ASK THAT ANY MOD WOULD APPROPIATELY PLACE THIS THREAD IN THE RIGHT SECTION SHOULD IT BE IN THE WRONG THANK YOU

WHAT SHOULD I DID I'M AT A LOSS !!!
Please Help, Thanks in advance
@angelus9151
You can't flash a boot.img via sideload and you can't flash a boot.img via adb. Has to be with fastboot.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Your boot.img is most likely fine, you just need to restore your system partition. Did you make a backup of your device using your custom recovery? If so, then you need to restore using that backup. Otherwise, I can provide a link to either my TWRP backup (not CWM compatible), an RUU, or my deodexed Rom. Your choice. First, if you already have a backup made up, then apply it. Otherwise, let me know.

I had TWRP on before CWM but even when i would load that it would still bootloop thats why i used CWM. Just one question if i want to root it again without a system control app this time will i be able to use this exe file to restore it if it happens again. it took me a year before i tried it because the first time there was no roms and i bootlooped that HTC one SV and had to fork over $300.00 bucks for a new one but i figured that i would root it because of busybox.

Its an ruu, an ruu is about as legit as you are going to get when it comes to restoring your phone. So yes, it will work . If your phone bootlooped when you flashed twrp in the past then my guess is that you either used the wrong fastboot commands and wrote it to another partition by accident, or you used a TWRP that was not presumably built for your phone and thus used another TWRP designed for another device.

If you are about to do something to your phone, make sure you know exactly what you are doing, why you are doing it, how it works, why it works, should I make a mistake what are my escape routes, and if all else fails - plan B. If none of these are set to mind then I recommend you do absolutely nothing to your phone until you actually understand its method.
