[Q] Can't unlock Nexus 5 or reboot into recovery - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I received a new Nexus 5 yesterday and immediately enabled ART but did nothing else, such as rooting, unlocking, etc. Today the phone froze and when I rebooted it it was stuck in a boot loop. I attempted to enter recovery, but was met with a persistent black screen. I also tried to unlock the phone, but when I use the fastboot reboot-bootloader command, the phone reboots to a battery animation and is stuck there until I manually reboot the phone and the bootloader is locked again when I manually enter the bootloader using power + volume down. Any suggestions guys?

[Q] Cannot access bootloader after rooting and unlocking bootloader

I went through the process of rooting and then unlocking the bootloader based on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709424
And everything seems to be fine, I even installed CWM Recovery, but I can't load the bootloader to recovery mode or anything. I've turned off fast boot and am applying the power button + volume down key for at least a minute. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!
Try plugging your phone into your computer and adb into the bootloader using the command adb reboot bootloader. I have a hard time with the buttons but this always gets me into it.

[Q] A510-cannot get into recovery mode/boot

[A510] I upgraded my rom and then tried to reboot. I get the boot animation where it gets stuck there. I shut off and try to get into recovery mode and get this message: "Bootloader Version jb-d0ca683 (unlock Mode). When I let it go it goes back to boot animation and won't fully boot.
When I hold down the .. volume key I get "Bootloader vJB-d0ca683 (unlock Mode): starting Fastboot USB download protocol
it stops there.
HELP!!!!!

Continuous Reboot "Bootloader Mode"

Friends,
got my hands on HTC One SV LTE that is constantly at each power runs into Bootloader Mode. If you select Factory Reset and others, it always returns to the same screen. You advise me please, how his resurrection?
Unlock bootloader, flash latest Twrp recovery and flash a stock rom.
I have a problem if you leave this to the HTC Dev generate a token and back through fastboot unlocked, so I after restarting the phone again returns to the menu and shines LOCKED.

Nexus 5 Cannot Perform Unlock

I have Nexus 5 phone which was not turning on a few days back. I kept it aside so that battery drains fully.
Now when I turn on the phone, it is on Google Logo Boot-Loop. When I press Power and Volume Down, I can boot into fastboot mode.
In fastboot mode, the device says it is locked and i send the following commands:
fastboot devices
fastboot oem unlock (Select Yes on Screen and Confirm as well)
fastboot reboot
Click to collapse
After this, ideally the bootloader should be unlocked, but the phone still remains in boot loop and when put into fastboot mode, it again shows device is locked.
I don't know what all is happening. Is there anything I can try now? Even fastboot boot recover.img is not working as phone boots into custom recovery for some time and then reboots automatically.

Z3 Bootloop

My cousin has an xperia z3 dual d6633 we wanted to root it so what we did was :
1- we unlocked the bootloader using sony's official guide that was a success
2-we flashed twrp using
Code:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
That appeared to be a success but we failed to boot to recovery i tried everything to boot to recovery from pressing power buttons with each volume buttons or both to even using
Code:
adb reboot recovery
and even that didnt work it always booted to android
3- when that didnt work one guide on the internet said to boot directly from the twrp image i had on the pc using
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
and thats where things went south it still booted into android but this time it was stuck in a bootloop it would boot into the screen thats right after the sony logo (the one that looks like the ps4 booting screen) and it would keep doing the animation non-stopping
4-we tried using xperia companion to fix it but it always said bootloader was unlocked
5-we tried relocking the bootloader using both
Code:
fastboot oem lock
and
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0fce oem lock 0x<unlock key>
mimicking the unlock bootloader command from sony's website but the lock bootloader keeps going on forever nothing happening until we take out the usb cable then it says failed
now i have two questions
1-can this be a hardware problem? Basically can the steps i made damage hardware?
2- is there a way to either relock the bootloader to fix it using companion app or fix it using any other program at all?
Thank you for answering
