Hey guys,
I haven't received my N5 yet and I'm looking to have a screen protector by the time it gets here. I was looking at Spigen and found at their website that they only have the Ultra Crystal. Well, I went on Amazon UK and found out that they were selling a 3-pack Spigen Crystal screen protector for £5.98 and then a Ultra Crystal that comes with front and rear protection for £9.99.
Now, I wouldn't mind spending a bit more for something that's, in fact, better but I can't seem to understand what the differences are between these two products. I'm really only looking for screen protection.
TLDR: Differences between Spigen Ultra Crystal screen protector and Crystal screen protector.

it seems better cause it mentions; Hard coated for Scratch Proof (Hardness: 3H)

:good:
Thanks!
I saw that but I'm not sure if that states a difference or only lack of description on the other product. Really confused by these two.

I'm interested in buying the Spigen Steinheil Screen Protector for my Galaxy S4, I'm undecided between Ultra Fine or Ultra Optics as I want anti-glare and matte finish so the screen feel smooth, I've looked at the description for them but still don't get the difference between them,
Also what's the difference between Spigen Steinheil Screen Protectors and the cheap ones?

Difference between Spigen and Cheap 20 packs are that Spigen last longer. They are more scratch resistant. Those cheap ones scratch so easily and you'll have to reapply a fresh protector every now and then.
UltraFine and UltraOptics are exactly as the description says. Think of UltraFine as the standard matte, UltraOptics are probably half matte with the benefits of having antifingerprint properties while being clearer than standard matte, however, it still is matte. I'll suggest you go for ultra optics.
Still unsure about the difference between them, can someone who has both screen protectors or knows the difference fully describe to me please
Can someone help me please
I love zagg products. Their screen protectors are worth the extra money. Great protection and easy to apply.

Zagg doesn't have anti-glare matte screen protector whereas Spigen has
I'm not entirely sure the benefits of the variations either, but I am using the Ultra Crystal one. I think that's the basic one.
I'm very happy with it. No color distortion/hue or interference with sensors or touch sensitivity.

Hey guys, ive never bought a tempered glass screen protector, and im wondering how case friendly they are? Im due for my upgrade on monday so id like to get one on order as long as its G2G with the bodyglove dropsuit rugged series case. Thanks
hi,
I did not have any problem but the case I use is one you find in the att store. it's not a 'slim' case by any stretch its a very thickish rubbery type thing for maxiumum protection. you could probably drop kick the phone and not even phase it.
the temperd glass with the case I'm using is no problem -- both I got in the att store when upgraded. my advice if you are shopping around online is to find people who use the case you do and ask them

+1
I have 2 different versions of the Spigen and love the tempered glass I got from Luvvitt and Amazon
I have a Zagg Glass on mine and it fits fine into the Otterbox Defender.
I recommend Nillkin, the glass has beveled edges which will slide on the object that makes contact with the glass' edges and therefore prevent movement pressure. If you decided to go for another brand, I suggest you also look for beveled edges.
to be honest id say it fits most of the cases.. only bumpers might have some problems
Same here as Taz420nj, Zagg Glass and a Otterbox Defender case. I should have my Trident Kraken case this coming Tuesday. Best of both worlds as far as protection goes.

I have this one from Cybertech. It claims to be 0.15mm thick. It is very thin so that seems possible. It is unscathed after a month.
They are very inexpensive ($6.49 w/free shipping) so I may order 2-3 more.
It hasn't interfered with any of my cases. My daily case is a Caseology but I have a few others that I sometimes use..
My son just picked up a Z second hand but mint condition. But we've been looking for a decent rugged shockproof case. Ideally with a front screen of its own too, but can't find anything available by googling
Any help anyone?
Here's the case I'm currently using:
www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C003ZJQ/r...SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=41U0MtQrmAL&ref=plSrch
It is as rugged as it gets (2-piece case) and is definitely shock proof. Reviews are also fantastic on a majority basis. However, it does not come with a screen protector. That really shouldn't matter as you're better off getting a standalone screen protector anyways in terms of quality. I'm planning on changing to glass anti-shatter film front/back covers though as I love the feel and look of the XZ on its own.
Are there any curved/wet install screen protectors that will fit round the curved edges of the S6 or is a glass one the way forward?
I am clumsy and outdoors lots so would want some proection and it seems a lot of the plastic protectors only just about cover the screen.
I was very satisfied with the Spigen non-glass screen protector. It covered almost all of the screen, which surprised me. I only took it off because I prefer glass protectors.
Spigen screen protectors leave gaps around the border. Not as much as glass sp. This is to accommodate "case friendly" design.

Interesting! I thought I read it only just covered the screen? Does it overlap slightly? Maybe it was earlier version!

No screen protector I know of covers more than the screen. Are you using a case? If yes, which one?

Not got the phone yet - was pre ordering bits! I don't mean the whole front of the phone. On the spigen website it shows the protector being slightly wider than the display, but review I read elsewhere seem to have it cut quite narrow and it barely covers the active part of the screen.
This is the Spigen plastic screen protector I ordered below. I always use a case and it covers most of the screen. There's a tiny gap, but I wasn't bothered by it.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QU4N0EI
A case option is the Spigen Ultra Hybrid FX case. Its the $17.99 option in the link below. It covers the entire phone (front, back, edges). Then you don't need a screen protector.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QU4PN84
Reviews and photos of it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RT1Z3ENHAIQ8Z and http://www.amazon.com/gp/review/RDXA8F1JMNCI4
Below is a review of the case for an iPhone 6. It's in Japanese, but you get the idea. There's no S6 video review available.
Despite my comments in this thread, I'm not a Spigen fanboy LOL. I no longer use the Spigen screen protector (I have a no-name glass now) and I'm swapping my Spigen case for a Ringke Fusion.

Have the Fusion on my Nexus - pretty good but teh back is coming away from the sides now. Like the look of the Rinke slim though.
Got some Spigen ones, they are pretty close to the size of the screen. Have to be so careful to line it up properly! Shame they didnt make it that fraction bigger, but I guess that was not possible due to the screen curve.
Ordered spiegen ones too, from amazon, 2 protectors wtih shipping costed 16.70€ but i have always dreamed of getting rid of that thick and heavy tempered protector.... they really do add weight and thickness to phone, especially if you decide to put front and back tempered protectors

I was tryiing to find a 0.2mm glass one as the thread on here has that as the best one - but they donn't ship to UK
They're hard to find, I've seen a few on ebay.com but there are some glass protectors that will cover almost all of the phone. They're the ones that go over the buttons with a pass-through for the fingerprint sensor/home button. They have an entirely identical full front look. Like this one, but not edge of course, they make them for flat S6s too but the flat ones being the ones that are hard to find: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...hash=item4d3e1f582c:m:mF-rpmie8VK2iab6MR9K5EQ

Ordered a couple of super cheap 0.26mm ones that I found online.

Arrived yesterday and look ok - will see how they go on and if there are any halo issues.

I have a SUPER thin tempered glass screen protector for the front and back of my s6. On the back it is quite large so it has the halo but on the front it is cut so it just about covers the actual display bit, so there is no halo on the front. It covers the samsung logo at the top and the capacitive buttons at the bottom like any other screen protector. Both costs me £2.49 on eBay UK. After using a much thicker tempered glass screen protector on my s3 I would say that the thicker ones feel as if they would offer better drop protection.
What case / screen protectors do you plan on using on your new p7p ?
If the modem is still terrible at least you can disguise it in a nice case
Not sure what people complain about. The modem on my P6P works pretty much exactly like every other phone I've ever had.
Anybody know if a P6P case will fit on a P7P? They seem pretty close to identical.
I've always liked Spigen cases, but I wish they would make them in hazel. The hazel one on the google store is not in stock, uggh. I usually go with Skinomi Matte screen protectors. Might try the spigen protector this time.
According to the Google Store, the only screen protector - as of now - that is "officially" rated to work properly with the FP scanner is the Case Mate variant, it's a flexible/non glass one.
I sifted through most ebay/Amazon P7 Pro screen protector offers that are available, and oddly enough most tempered glass screen protectors have a warning message that states that the FP scanner won't work due to a technical limiation.
Hopefully that doesn't mean that no glass screen protector will work.

Concerning cases, I planned on getting a Paralax from Caseology, but it seems that they changed their design. The P6 Pro had a wonderful two-toned design (gold colored accent on the camera hub and centered in the middle, with the black variant), that is now a boring/terrible grey-ish accent. So I'm not sure yet what kind of Case I'm going for.
The Caseology Athlex (a new case) looks promising, since it has a dent in the middle to rest your finger, but the neon colors on it are ridicolous.
What do you think about the Dbrand case?
Spigen is now a Made for Google partner with its Pixel 7 cases
Seems like there's no regular brown option for the bellroy leather case which is unfortunate.
I ordered a Caseology Parallax case and pre-ordered a Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protector.
Spigen most thin option(I think tough armor it's called), and Whitestone Dome like always(there taking preorders and shopping soon). Whitestone dome was $19.99 for two.
I hope this can help someone.

IIRC, the Thin Fit is Spigen's thinnest model, and the Tough Armor is actually bulkier than the Thin Fit, Liquid Air, and Rugged Armor models.
I went with the Spigen Liquid Air. It's what I've got on my current phone. It hits the right balance for me between protection and bulk. FYI, though; some people don't like it because it's possible for stuff to get in the grooves in the triangle texture on the back. It doesn't bother me - I just brush it off, and it's fine - but I thought I'd mention it just in case that's something that's an issue for anyone.
Also, been using Spigen Thin Fit on my prior devices which works for me!

Thanks, and yes, for me it needs to fit in my work shirt; I have thin fit on m yOnePlus 8 & 9 pro. I'm thinking a good chance, I'm gonna have to get another case, but I didn't see thin fit so I figured I'd try the tough option. Thanks for the heads up. I see on Spigen website, they have it along with a charger for free w/purchase.

I hear ya. I'm not sure what's up with Spigen P7 Pro cases on Amazon right now. I had to go to Amazon's "Spigen Store" page to find the Liquid Air because it didn't show up in the search results for whatever reason.
FWIW, according to the Spigen website a P7 Pro version of the Thin Fit does exist, they just don't seem to be currently selling it on Amazon for whatever reason.
I have Caseology on my P6P. Looking at the Athlex for my P7P. I also bought Skinomi screen protector.
The Spigen Liquid Air looks pretty nice too. I have a week to decide while I wait for my phone to arrive.
Spiegen Liquid Air for her phone and Supcase Unicorn Beetle for me. Both with Supershieldz screen protectors. It's how our current phones are now. I'm just sticking with what has been working for me.

I'm doing the Caseology Parallax too. Have one on my P6 and I like it.

I went with the Athlex, I have a vault on my p6pro. It should be here today.
I got the Spigen Rugged Armor as usual. I kinda wanted to try the Athlex (I kinda like the black/neon green one) but it seems really bulky!
I have ordered the luxurious bellroy leather case again, (same as for pixel 6 pro), and also the caseology one.
UK costs,
£49 and 16.99.
Both great cases.
