Any easy way to do this? Don't like the big white bar in the middle of my screen. I am limited in my abilities so if you can help thanks in advance.

It's more a brushed metal look.
Can you post the dl link for the current theme you're using? I can drop that widget in there if you'd prefer that.
What I'm doing is pulling the search widget pngs from the theme and dropping them into launcher pro then resigning the apk. It's easy if you have the sdk setup, autosign and 7zip... but familiarity with image names and locations helps too.
I'm non rooted and was hoping to change the google search bar to something that matches a honeycomb theme? Can anyone help with this? Please pm me!
I see lots of people wanting to change the google bar colour ,I want the standard white google bar.
Is it possible to put the older style google search bar on ics software.I have downloaded some coloured ones from the play store which are the right style but the browser opens the same colour as the widget,hard on the eyes.
Changing the color should be as easy as changing the color of the graphics in the framework apk of whatever Rom you're on.

There is an app on the google play that helped me to get the transparent google widget, it is called custom ICS search widget and it works for android 4.4 kitKat.
Note: I am not associated with the app, just found it as a solution

I've decided that I wanna take the jump from the stock messaging app to Google Voice.
The thing is that the theming for the stock version is drab and unexciting.
Is there anyone who could make a few themed ones for us Google Voice adopters? I've seen one for the widget and one that works only on CM7, but one that everyone can use would be wonderful.
Preferably something black with green text...or something.

I'll take a look there, but it would be nice if our awesome themers gave us some options. Right now, for stock messaging, we have white and black but with the Google Voice app, there's a lot more options.
We should totally have some more choices

It's hard to invert the stock mms.apk. I mean you can but there will be side effects for other stock apps for example you make them black in mms.apk there will be distortion from colors on people.apk
just use another app or use the mms.apk from the link posted above or something similar.
