[Q] Unbrick Runbo X5 - General Questions and Answers

To start with let me first point out that when it comes to phones I'm a total noob. I got a Runbo X5 direct from China (I'm in America) and I tried to update the phone the way one of the Runbo Blogs said to. Well my Runbo X5 is totally bricked, it won't even turn on. I'm trying to find someone that I can send it to to be fixed. So far every repair service I've asked has said they can't do it, (I guess they just fix Samsung). I just want to send the phone off to get fixed. Can anyone help?

Hi friend , How can I help you? what is problem of your phone.

Hey maybe somebody can help me. I've a Runbo X5 too and now a friend of mine used too many pattern attempts so that my phone got blocked and I had to log in with my google account or something. Nothing worked and after I switched the phone off it now only boots into recovery and I get the dead android with the red triangle. I already tried to delete cash, factory reset the phone and rebooting it but still the same.
What can I do now? Please help me.

HONOR 6 H60-L02 (made in China) totally bricked

Hello,
i'm very disappointed about my phone (H60-L02) because he's bricked after an Huawei update (6.8.15).
I have wanted to reset the phone because i want to give this phone to my daughter.
I've gone to the settings menu to get an new initializie.
The phone has been reseted, but, after that, the phone restarts and stays on the Honor Bootlogo...
I've tried to do a new reset with the 3 buttons method. The first time, the recovery menu proposes me to format the phone. I did it. After hat, the phone reboots but, once again, he stays on the Honor bootlogo...
The difference now, is that the 3 buttons method doesn't works anymore. The menu is not available when i push the 3 buttons...
I can only do a Vol-/Power, wich starts the Fastboot mode. But this one is locked...
The problem is:
- I don't have the Product ID of my phone (because i've never wanted to root it)
- Huawei europe doesn't want to give me the Unlock code because he's made in China. And i have no answers from Huawei China.
What can i do? This phone is definitively out?
Somebody can help me?
(sorry for my poor english)

Well, you can get your id using the tool in the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/general/bricked-honor-7-honor-6-id-t3468333/page1
One user already used it to generate device id for H60-L02 so the id you get is definitely the one you have to use online to get the code.
You can use English website to get the unlock code, if that somehow does not work (many users reported captcha problem), try to search for a way to unlock using Chinese site of huawei.
There are a couple of tutorials here on XDA about how to use Chinese site but can't find them atm.
Hope this helps.

Guess I am too late with this info... I wish I had given this info when it was really needed
A request to XDA members....
Download it and distribute it as you wish as it's not my work and I can take no credit for it but it's a handy tool and more people should know about it.
The phone we are talking about was revivable but the person did not have this info. It kind of feels bad so please distribute this in other forums and threads.
Just download and you can attach it wherever it is needed.

Blocked BQ Aquaris x5 Cyanogenmod

Hello,
At my work someone handed in a lost phone, 3 months later and no one has asked for it and as it has a screen lock so we can't see who it belongs too. Its a BQ Aquaris x5 Cyanogenmod. I did a hard reset, all went well! I put my email in and now it asks me to verify ownership putting in the old gmail account from original owner.
I tried updating the firmware but bootloader is blocked. I've seen tutorials on youtube to get around verifing the account but as its Cyanogenmod it has another keyboard and the tutorials don't work.
Is there anyway to get around it or do I now have a paper weight?

I was never been in such a situation - so I don't know really what's possible and what not. Are you still able to activate the developer settings?
If yes, then I would try to unblock the bootloader by using fastboot, flash TWRP onto recovery and try to flash a OS whatever you want. The support for CyanogenMod/OS is gone so I would try to install the successor of it --> LineageOS.

Can't enter recovery, fastboot or system.

Hello Friends,
I've Huawei GT3 phone with me, i've purchased it from Dubai. I'm using this in india but couple of weeks ago i tried to flash the indian variant firmware on this phone. I was managed to run huawei 5c on this phone. But then i decided the go deep and tried to update the phone to the latest honor 5c firmware which ended up making my phone dead. Now i can't enter into fastboot neither can enter the recovery. My phone is neither starting nor charging. It's stuck at the honor 5c logo. I can't do anything. I've been to the service enter but they first said they can't do anything as this phone has been purchased out of india. So i decided to get it repaired by local mobile shop, but they can't repair it. I requested huawei service center to install indian firmware on my own risk but they i think have formally agreed and after couple of days they return me with out any success. I know my rom might be corrupt but i want the help guys because that's the only phone i have with me. Please if anyone has any idea regarding this then revert me here. You're help is appreciated.

Do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
Get the original stock firmware restored then flash the working 5c firmware that you had but don't try to update it this time.
I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE

I tried everything that's been mentioned over many posts. I'm having the problem, because the phone has stuck on honor logo, can't enter recovery or fastboot or the upgrade buttons combo(volume up, down, and power). Everything results in a phone sticking at logo.
Same thing happened to me also. Don't have any access to recovery, adb or system. Don't think it's a software issue. No help found online. Have to check more.

Any way to unbrick a P40 Pro? "Your device has loaded a different operating system"

So like a dummy I flashed the wrong firmware on my P40 Pro. LGRP6 instead of LGRP4. Now when booting it says "Your device has loaded a different operating system" and then goes straight to erecovery. In eRecovery, downloading and restoring the system doesn't work because it fails to retrieve package info.
I already tried everything possible with HiSuite Proxy, too. I read bricking a P40 Pro this way requires to replace the motherboard, but not sure how true that is. My phone is still under warranty, but I'd prefer to fix it myself, if possible.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Tried eRecovery without any sim card in it?

Yes, I just get retrieving package info failed. Every time
Then it seems motherboard replacement is the only known option left.
Same issue with me
I spent a month to fix it and didn't find a way.
I tried Chimera Mobile and it didn't helped.
The only thing that probably can help is SigmaKey software. If anybody has it please check and say did it helped or not.
Huawei don't want to replace it by warranty for me, that is why I try everything.

I can't find anybody with SigmaKey. Probably I'll go to replace the motherboard in the nearest future.
Other methods definetely don't help.
Do you have any update? Please share if yes.
Hi all! My device is finally fixed! It was fixed by disassembly, hardware testpoint and flashing of Android 11 via SigmaKey!
You have to find a very expirienced person to do this work. I can recommend one person in Moscow, Russia in private messages.
Disassembly is probably necessary

Thanks for the update!
After 4 days trying everythingI found also a guy who told me exactly what you are saying. disassembly is required because of the test point. No other way currently.
SoI will go to a phone shop tomorrow to disassemble the back cover of my P40Pro+. Then the guy will do the whole flashing process via remote. But it's paid service for 30$. I decided to do or because I wanna use this phone.

The only other way is to try to replace the motherboard by warranty.
However, in my case Huawei refused me this.
I think 30$ is a good price because it was very difficult for me to find a person good enough to do it.
Hi guys. Just posting a small update here. I found a xda user who accepted to help me unbrick my P40 Pro for a donation via remote desktop. He will be using paid tools and hopefully it will unbrick the device. I'll post another update soon, to let you guys know the outcome. Fingers crossed!

It is not always possible without disassembly. (Like was in my case)
I wish you good luck but be ready for disassembly.
Another update. First of all big thanks to @oslo83 for accepting to help me with my bricked P40 Pro. Unfortunately things didn't go our way and the device is still bricked. The problem is that I flashed LGRP6 EMUI 11, with EMUI 10.1 preload & cust. A ****ty situation but it is what it is. @oslo83 advised me to take the device to Huawei repair center (it's still under warranty) and that's what I'm going to do.
However if anyone has a bricked P40 Pro, I still recommend oslo83 services, there's a chance your brick is different from mine and that he will be able to unbrick it. If not, he will issue a refund like he did for me.
Hi guys, I have a brilliant update for you guys:
The guy I was working on this issue was able to fix my phone remotely with SigmaKey. After hours of tries he made it!
There is no software solution yet - so the back cover has to be dissembled. I went to a phone shop at the corner and let them open it. After removing ca. 10 screws you can reach the "Test Point". There are some videos on YouTube which can support you. Its not easy but its makable.
The genius guy gives a step by step instruction what to do via WhatsApp.
So at the end my P40Pro+ works again and I am so happy! I will start the downgrade now (to install gms)and I will DEFINITELY use the correct FW this time
I can share the contact - send me a private message.
Another update hopefully the next one will be the FINAL one.
So like @oslo83 suggested, I contacted Huawei via chat on their official site. They accepted to repair my device for free with no problem. I sent my phone to the repair center and now I simply have to wait. The person in the Huawei chat told me it could take up to two weeks. And another thing, they let me know the phone will be updated to the latest firmware, so I probably won't be able to downgrade and install GMS, unless there is a way to install it on EMUI 11 (not sure). But at least I'll have a working P40 Pro again
I have the same problem. I'm tryingto fix it with hsuite proxy and the phone in fastboot&rescue mod
In HiSuiteConfig.xml I added to be able to enter the recovery mode
<rule type="ELS-N29" cnName="HUAWEI P40 Pro" enName="HUAWEI P40 Pro" option="" ></rule>
I'm testing to flash this:
Base version: ELS-LGRP4-OVS 10.1.0.176
Custom version: ELS-N29-CUST 10.1.0.8(C432)
Preload version: ELS-N29-PRELOAD 10.1.0.2(C432R5)
Checked "Recovery OS", CUST PKG and Preloaded PKG
So far it connects
I can download and unpack the firmware on the phone
but then I have an error-message on (Installing 0%) telling me, that on this phone the recovery mode is not available. I'm trying with different base firmware - but every attempt takes a lot of time.

Update: It's always the same error message after unpacking the files. So now I'm trying to install an EMUI11 rom.
Now testing with:
ELS-LGRP4-OVS 11.0.0.175
ELS-N29-CUST 11.0.0.3(C432)
ELS-N29-PRELOAD 11.0.0.3(C432R5)
Update: Failed to at 0% :-(

It looks like I have flashed the following:
"FirmWare" : "ELS-LGRP4-OVS 11.0.0.170"
"FirmWare" : "ELS-N29-CUST 11.0.0.3(C301)"
"FirmWare" : "ELS-N29-PRELOAD 11.0.0.3(C635R2)"
Still trying to reflash ... any ideas?
I've built now my own dload
using the files downloaded by hsuite over hisuite proxy inside Hisuite\ROM/
and copy them on a USB-C-drive /dload
trying the usb-flashing method. So far it went only to 37%

Lenovo Legion Pro Global (Chinese)

Good Afternoon:
I a m not a newbie at this but I am not an expert either> I recently purchased this phone from a Chinese supplier. I received the phone and briefly checked it out. I then plugged it in to charge it. Somewhere in the process the ROM vanished.
I pled with the suppliers for about two weeks which resulted in them sending my two versions of the ROM. The one initially on the phone when I got it and allegedly the Global ROM. Here's my present issue. The phone is locked into fast boot and the bootloader shows locked. I tried the Levovo recovery tool and that proved useless. I then tried loading the ROM onto an OTG via a micro SD card. No Joy.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I do have SDK tools, but haven't used it in a while. My issue was trying to find the correct driver for Windows to get it to recognize the phone. Grrrrr. I am a victim of my own stupidity. Any suggestions would greatly help.
Thanks in advance;

Not sure about the retailer who sold you the device but from what you've shared it doesn't sound like they're open to replacing the phone. To a certain degree that's on you for not doing your homework prior to purchase. Have you called Levano's customer support? If you just bought it then the warranty should cover the issue. Good luck!
