[Q] Is it okay to install CM11 nightlies OTA over CrDroid AOSP B16 on a Galaxy Nexus - General Questions and Answers

I wonder whether it is okay to install CM11 nightlies OTA over CrDroid AOSP Build 16 on a Galaxy Nexus. The developer has ceased to further develop CrDroid beyond B16 based on CM10.2 but I want KitKat on my GNex.

[Q] CM From unofficial to official

Hi, I would like to know what happens to my note 3 or in general when I flash an official cm rom, having already an unofficial. Specifically, If I install Cm 12 unofficial with Android 5.0, when the cm12 official nighties will be available, will I lose all my data? Or it can be considered an update as among cm11 nightlies?

The time of Android 6.0 :D

Hello ,,
CM 13 is out
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android/tree/cm-13.0
 @andixlm
Aicp 6.0
https://github.com/AICP/platform_manifest
 @GHsR
There will be the version of CyanogenMod Marshmallow for this device? Any volunteers?

Resurrection remix
Everything works for me except boot animation on new version of Resurrection remix shows white screen sometimes& when will I get the latest version of Android 6.0for resurrection remix
That's fantastic! I tried the AOSP 6.0 and it's fantastic! I don't know if it's a lot for were device, but I done almost 14.000 points on AnTuTu! It's a good result, I wait for new updates!
Question
Will there be the possibility to use external memory as the default memory in the PURE Marshmallow in the section Original android development?
Works fine!
Even the alpha release works fine. I use it for 2 days and there are no major issues or crashes. Everything works. Only some little things (f.ex. you have to install a keyboard fix). CM 13 works faster and smoother than LP. Nice work GHsR, waiting for the stable version!

Read this and help if you can. Thank you

Dear XDA users..Sorry for my English but i am trying my best. I don't know what am i doing wrong. So many times i followed directions and guides found on the google and xda but have no luck compiling ROM for our device from the latest branch CM12.1 and Euphoria repo.
Currently i still use on my device Euphoria OS unofficial built dating from November of last year. It is by far the most stable ROM i have ever used on my OPO. In terms of battery life, performance and bugs. And i have try all of them . CM 13 is just not stable as CM12.1 is.
One of the users here on XDA creates almost a daily unnoficial CM 12.1 nightly vanilla build from the CM branch. Awesome ,stable but it is missing Euphoria features.... Thank you for your work adlx.xda! Link down

I want to do the same thing. Compile a CM 12.1 ROM from the branch baked with all Euphoria OS goodies. Bring it all up to date. and share work here on XDA. Apparently it looks like Euphoria OS development has stop and there are no updates from the September of last year. But there is enough stuff to sync with latest CM branch to bring everything UP TO DATE in terms of security and all of updates from the time when CM 12.1 nightly stop to roll out.
IF ANYONE CAN BAKE UP TO DATE EUPHORIA OS ROM I CAN MAKE DONATION FOR BEER AND COFFEE .
Thank you for reading!
Before all, I can't help you and that isn't the correct section where you can ask these things.
@adlx.xda : I would love to get a unofficial euphoria build ,is it possible?

CM 14.1

Why haven't we seen an official CM 14.1 for hammerhead. CM 14.1 official has been released for hammerheadcaf but not regular Hammerhead. I am tired of waiting for an official release, they are dragging their feet like Google did with the original Nougat release. We have seen some unofficial development, but until official development is released network an custom kernel support isn't useful. Every unofficial CM 14.1 release hasn't supported my sim card and a custom kernel with USB fast charge.
Keep patient bro. It'll be released soon (Hope So).

They keep releasing nightlies of CM 13, they need to move on already. Hopefully the CM theme engine is fixed by then also.

You have to be more patient, you are just simply to inpatient.
CM14.1 is in its early develop stage, things have to settle, the nightly's for the regular version will come when it's time.

Best ROM for Galaxy TAB 2

Hello, I want to send my phone for warranty service, Galaxy TAB p3100 will replace for week my phone. I've read about ROMs for this tablet, but I still don't know which should I choose. I want to use FB messenger, snapchat and chrome on it, I know that it's old device but i want the most smoothest ROM. Would you recommend me one?
im also looking for an answer for this... doesnt have to be the best, but just be the less lag/stable custom rom.. can anyone give recommendations/opinions/feedbacks for custom roms based on Marshmallow? except AOSP...
nougat roms as ive read and i've tried some, are still unstable/laggy.. so thats a no no for me..
my current options are installing custom roms based on Marshmallow with pico gapps / with microg?
im aware that without installing gapps, i'll get better and stable rom experience... ive tried it but I couldn't bear the lack of gapps and the unsatisfying alternative apps..
LineageOS... I have their last nightly on mine and it runs fine for a dual core 1GHz tablet.

are u using the Official LineageOS 13 Marshmallow? official lineageos for our device seems to have been removed in lineageos website download.. discontinued?
edit: i'll try other roms with oms/substratum support like Resurrection Remix OS or OmniROM since i bought some substratum themes, dont want to waste it.. lineageos only has legacy mode for substratum.

Yes, and yes it has been discontinued... But you can build the lineage nightlies yourself like I do as long as you have the blobs.

I knew I had Android-Andi's links somewhere, I also recall being able to use the way back to get LineageOS room files also. But they may have removed them entirely at this point.
