[Q]which rom can i use as a base - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

A base for what?
Currently there are quite a few option rom-wise - you can use the stock ROM which came with your phone or you can flash Infusion which is basically a stock ROM with some modifications.

i meant a rom as a base for a custom rom but thanks anyway

[Q] cm 7 stock kernel

Installed CM 7.0.3.
Interested in flashing some non stock kernels.
I would like to find the stockkernal [Kernel] 2.6.37.4 [email protected] #27, so that I can easily reflash it.
Unable to find it.
Appreciate a link to a download site for this kernal.
Thanks
Just reflash the ROM if you want to go back to the stock kernel...

[Q] Flashable stock kernel floating around?

My phone blacks out frequently with the custom kernels. Is there a flashable stock kernel anywhere so I'm not limited in the ROMs I pursue?

[Q] sgs custom rom

does it matter what kernel version you have to install a custom rom
Yes, but most custom ROMs usually come with a kernel or give details in their thread what kernels are recommended.

Best for stock rom?

So, I would be on a custom ROM but I really like the battery life I have now. So im wondering what are the best things I can do on stock rom Thanks
1. Install a custom kernel (faux or Aero for now)
2. Xposed installer for some tweaks in the UI ( ART doesnt work then)
3. Maybe try tweaky Rom (using it myself cause stock is best) or nexus g+ Rom Version 009, because they are both stock based ( in nexus g+ Rom only 009 stock based, the others gpe based )

[Q] Does tap and pay

work on any ROM besides the stock KK?
I think any ROM based on AOSP will not work. Are there any stock based custom ROMS that i could try?
