I have using the custom roms with my P3110 for a long time with JB, but with the iminence of the now released stock rom from Samsung I roll back to stock 4.0.4 version last week and will update to take a look. One think I like with 4.0.4 camera is the absent of video timelapse function. Will this new 4.1 version come with? Does some one already have tested?
You people with 3113 or 3100 and Jelly Bean can confirm that?

I just updated to JB 4.1.1 Samsung Stock ROM. The camera app is essentially the same
I am trying now to install the 4.1.1 camera application and for that I am going to install the Gallery2.apk. The new Gallery and Camera app shows up but such what occurs when trying to use the 4.2 cam app with 4.1.2 the camera app FC just after load. I guess that framework part could be the same, but not... Tried to clean cache and data no success.
Something I am missing?

I have recently purchased MMX Canvas HD A116 rooted on the very first day and yesterday itself I have flashed by Canvas HD to a custom ROM called JellyDeamon v1 but since then it forced my device to reboot thrice since yesterday afternoon. Has anyone of you experienced the same issue or this is with me only?
Though I liked the ROM but since it is causing some problem I am restoring my Rooted Stock ROM now.

Thanks, I would try Jelly Xperia. Today only I have flashed my HD with MegaHD but I guess I have already found a bug within 2 hrs, it is rebooting while charging, I have already experienced it. Though MegaHD is very lite on Hardware, I have seen it is consuming very less RAM only 260MB while my stock ROM was consuming as high as 370 MB out of 1GB.
I have also read that GPS is also giving trouble in this ROM.
Edit: I've checked GPS is working fine but not giving exact location. I wonder what is that star in the map which is giving exact location even when I'm connected via wifi.?

Did you follow all the steps as mentioned by the developer? I am using the same ROM and its working flawless till now. Anything that you think you missed?

Yeap, I have followed every single word of the steps mentioned by the developer still facing the problem. I am currently on Jelly Xperia v2 working reasonable well except for few hickups. I have backup of Jelly Deamon would restore after few days.
I cant use the rear camera in 4.2 i used every Kernel but when i start the phone i cant find the camera app even when i i used a other app it will showes only the front camera.
Pls help me

I use Legoice 4.2.1 and i saw that the back camera app are not in the menu was so i installed a camera app but only the front camera working then if i want to change the camera then crash the app.I used so many camera app but they all cant find the back camera.I used other Roms like Dark Nexus and Turbo-Zet´s rom .
Bro.. Have u installed rom as per instructions? If u dont have. Try installing ROM again..

Im using Dark nexus 4.2.2 and my back camera is working pretty fine

i have been trying to install 4.2.x custom rom on my micromax canvas 2 (came with stock jb 4.1.1 and yes rooted the device later)
first i tried LegoIce Canvas Turbo v 3.1. the rom didnt work, had many bugs especially the camera bug even though i followed the instructions correctly.
another pain was finding a compatible boot.img file and kernel zips that i coud download.
i also tried using legoice project rom s4 and dark nexus all roms had bugs.
with all 4.2.x roms there is a problem with using camera.
if i flash kernels- androixu 3.4.5 or xtreme boost 3.4.68, apps dont get installed and messaging doesnt work.
if i flash xtreme punch 3.4.67 public kernel, apps and messaging work.
in all cases with all kernels the rear camera doesnt work.the stock camera app doesnt work at all and i had to download a 3rd party camera app. with that too only front camera is working.
i am not blaming any developer here. you guys do a great job in creating custom roms.
i am currently using legoice xperia z rom. it is a great rom but would like to try 4.2.x roms.
please help.

Secondly The 3.4.67 Kernel is Best For Me Cuz Everything Working After Flashing That Kernel.
Third If U R Facing Lags In 4.2.x Then Try Suvi Booster Script By @bsuhas & Also U Can Try Pure PerformancesX By @Jeeko.

also
i am able to run 4.1.x rom flashed over andiroxu 3.4.5( currently legoice xperia z by @sagarwep)
the problem comes only with 4.2.x roms. no rear camera support in any of them.
thanks anyways..will stick to my current rom for now until @andiroxu finds something for jb out of the box fones.

You can try SP flashing ICS on your device. Than after ICS reboot, than install recovery and directly flash 4.2 and than flash 3.4.67 kernel.
See, for some reasons I had to submit my device to service centre, after that submission that replaced motherboard of the device which had pre installed JB.
But m able to use all 4.2 ROMs.
However if you get any boot up issues on ICS or on 4.2 directly sp flash 4.1
SP flash tutorial is in general section I guess.
And so flashable rom is in development section in index thread.
Give it a try...

download andiroxu-Kernel-4.2.x-3.4.5-FINAL from DEV HOST and flash it.....:laugh::good:
i tried in suvi rom v16 for me all major bugs are fixed except some issues.....:crying:

Tried with latest kernels....still no luck....
I think this is old issue....n our developers must have solved it...

Using andiroxu kernel cam works fine ,messaging works fine.all working in the right way! Jst google for latest andiroxu kernel and install it and for app not installing issue check the MMX Q&A thread

Listen i run on latest kernel by a******u .i have nil errors by flashing this .even in all roms i have flashed this .even in the old versions of a******u camera is FINE !!
Camera with a******u kernel =Green
If u get errors with the kernel try flashing stock kernel or thunderzap v2 and check ur camera .SWITCH BACK IF U WANT

I am talking about the new mmx a110 with jb.....all such device are having camera issue on 4.2.2 roms.
I have talked to many developers n result is negative.
This is the issue with my frnds mmx a110 which he bought 3 months before.
I too have the same device ....one yr old which came with ics.....n everything is fine on it.

This is bad .it seems wie need a thread with someone who work for an solution.
I would do it for myself qhen someone give me some help for something.
I flashed MIUI Rom And Also Xperia Rom Here from my 4.4 Stock, But both the times there is heavy lag and also having problem with camera. No camera app found in xperia rom. But actually it is there in the rom. In MIUI camera app is shown, but when opening hanging and force close.
Can anybody help me to solve this issue

Same Problem
Hi all,
I also have tried flashing my q3000 (kitkat out of the box) with MIUI custom Rom. Everything works fine but the camera app wont work. Tried installing lenovo super camera but no luck. I was told by Dr. Avi that these roms are Build on android 4.2, may be thats why the problem. Flashing the stock deodexed ROM also didnt help. I am going try to firmware update my phone to 4.2, then get a recovery img for JB and try flashing the custom ROMs. May be it will help. Will post my experience soon.
Meanwhile Devs please come up with custom ROMs for KK users.
